In my requested scope, they also complete rat proofing and added a new attic access, with new batt insulation secured to the top of the hatch, as well as a barrier of wood planks and batt insulation to prevent the blown in insulation from falling out of the hatch whenever it's opened. They even identified that one of our bathroom exhaust fans was not appropriately connected to outside so they installed the replacement duct that I purchased. Overall, Damir communicated well throughout the process, answered all my questions, and advised appropriately. They also had a lower price than the main competitors that provided estimates. Very fast communications and scheduling! Damir was great and came out very soon after we called for an inspection and quote. He showed us pictures from the attic and quoted us an amount for a few different options right there on the spot. We picked our options, scheduled a date for the work to be done (1.5 weeks later), and the price he quoted was the final price we paid. It was a little odd there was nothing actually written down (prices, work order, etc.), but they did a great job, spent about 11 hours working on our attic, and we paid the originally agreed upon amount. They vacuumed out all the old attic insulation (and rat poop), sanitized the attic, filled holes and cracks, blew in new cellulose insulation, and did a very good job cleaning everything up (in our attic, garage where the attic entrance is, and the front steps, path, and driveway). Needed two of my garage walls insulated. Not a very big project, however not big enough for many companies and Damir's price was reasonable. The walls were already finished, so Damir recommended spray in cellulose. The process entailed 2" holes cut out in between each stud, then cellulose is sprayed in until the cavity is full. This is a late but well deserved 5 star review. I was in the market for attic insulation as I believed I didn't have proper insulation. I got quotes from many companies and I was getting some reasonable and some unreasonable quotes as is generally the trend. Then I spoke to Damir and he told me to get r-44 level insulation. Mind you, prior to this I was not told of this by anyone before. What Damir told me blew my mind because he said that with r-44 I could get BayRen rebate and that brings down the cost of insulation significantly lower. Fast forward and things worked out as expected. Least to mention Damir's responsiveness, professionalism, and quality work. They sealed all openings in my attic and took care of few things we had discussed and results were surprisingly good. I have two story house and for the first time in 10 years my upstairs and downstairs temperatures don't fluctuate much. I am so happy with the work they did for my attic. I had roof rats that invaded my space. They came over immediately to give a quote and started work that weekend. The day was 100 degrees outside and both of the workers worked tirelessly in the heat. Additionally, they are extremely clean. From beginning to end, the experience was great. Damir was efficient and provided a very fair price. The team, including Manuel, who did the work were courteous, professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did a great job of cleaning out old insulation and adding new insulation. They even found and removed a skeleton of a mouse (animals in the attic were partly why we decided to have the attic cleaned out and the insulation replaced). A pest control company had previously tried to seal up all the holes in the attic, walls, and outdoor areas , and trap the animals. However, Attic Experts did a better job because they were able to visualize everywhere once the insulation was removed, seal additional gaps, and also because they sealed up outdoor areas missed by the pest control company where animals seem to have been coming in. read more

My attic had some clear signs of rodent activity and I needed the insulation replaced as well. I learned that most every attic person has the same spiel and hard sell. The last time i had this feeling was shopping for a car pre-internet. They all say they are going to remove insulation, vacuum, Rodent Proof, sanitize, deodorize, and reinstall. They all give the same hard sell for that "extra special deal" that only exists NOW. And if you're flexible with the date, (and put a deposit down NOW), you can get this "special" price. Another lesson is that there's also a huge price descrepency between a Rodent Specialist who does insulation and an attic/insulation person who does rodent control. Damir gave me a fair price without the hard sell and gave me suggestions that make sense. He's going to remove the insulation/sanitize/rodent proof on the first day. Once he confirms I am rodent free he will install the Batts insulation on a follow up visit. I'll post some before, during, after photos shortly.
