What we actually encountered felt completely misrepresented. The trail was extremely rough, intensely dusty, steep in multiple sections, and far more treacherous than advertised. This was not a casual or beginner-friendly ride by any reasonable standard. Had the terrain been described honestly, we would never have booked this excursion. I have pre-existing back issues, and the constant violent jolting over deeply rutted terrain made the ride physically painful and stressful instead of enjoyable. By the end, it felt less like sightseeing and more like being shaken inside a paint mixer full of red desert dust. Adventure is one thing. Accurate disclosure is another. Customers deserve a realistic explanation of trail conditions, difficulty level, and physical impact before spending money and putting themselves at risk. Sedona is beautiful, but this experience left us disappointed and feeling misled.

We stumbled across CenterFocus while we were searching for Canyoneering so we decided to get in touch with them. I had a week long correspondence with Garrett, primary owner of CenterFocus and he couldn't have been more helpful. He was very patient with me as I'm a total "newbie" in terms of canyoneering / rock climbing. After some quick conversations, we decided to put aside the canyoneering experience and try our hands at some rock climbing over at Jacks Canyon. The entire trip over to Jacks Canyon was something that my husband and I will remember for a long time. Garrett and his fellow guide Bennet were awesome through the canyon, and even better mentors for beginner rock climbers. Being a couple of people with NO rock climbing experience, and not to mention I am afraid of heights, they were the most patient and helpful guides around. We had an absolute blast, and we discovered a new hobby thanks to the exceptional guiding skills of CenterFocus. On the car ride back with Garrett, we've already made numerous plans on coming back this upcoming spring to partake in the canyoneering expeditions, and hopefully some other endeavors. Our only regret is that we live in New York and can't experience CenterFocus adventures more often.
