Even directories @ Mescal Trail, which the gate attendant misdirected me to, dunno bout Birthing Cave. He shuda pointed me to Long Canyon TH

I was on a tour of the town and needed help. I politely asked the gate attendant (near 15 Golf Club Way, Sedona) how to find the trailhead to Birthing Cave. He was unhelpful and unfriendly. He misdirected me to Mescal Trailhead but with a demeanor as if he just wanted me sent away. Turns out the trailhead to Birthing Cave is at Long Canyon Trailhead (G Maps coords: W54G+M8 Sedona, Arizona). The intersection for that is: Long Canyon Rd & Chuck Wagon Trail. At Mescal Trail, I asked around for Birthing Cave. No one had even heard of it. Even the directories don't know about it (see photo). Anyway, if you're visiting The Villas at Seven Canyons-Sedona and wish to visit Birthing Cave, park at Long Canyon TH and start hiking NW. It's about a 2 mi hike (1 hr round trip). Remember to pack ice water, hat, and sunblock, cuz it's hot and dry out there. Good luck!

Beautiful golf course! Wish I was playing again right now. Everything was in great condition even in August with the weather being somewhat hot. Greens are fast and you sure better hit the ball straight or it's going to be a long day. No cart girl but you order from your cart and they deliver the drinks to you pretty quickly. The price is up there, so it's definitely a special location course.

Beautiful piece of heavenly land back here and to my surprise a very secluded special vortex. If you plan to visit, just look for the Seven Canyons Neighborhoods. You can also take a tour on a jeep or spiritual guide. Stop at the gate and tell them that you want to go up to Rachel's Knoll. And when you are up there, just breathe and let all that beauty sink in! Walk around the trail and enjoy the hot spot of the vortex. Whimsical trees are said to have developed this way due to the vortex. Enjoyed the meditation and chakra up here didn't feel the vortex this time but it felt special and it warmed my heart, cleared my mind, and gave me peace up here. Don't let the guards scare you off it's Rachel's wish for all to see read about her story trust me you don't want to miss out on this one.

One of Sedona's best kept secrets! The food & views are to die for and the service is friendly and attentive. I recommend the 100 layer lasagna or the braised short rib.

Seven Canyons = Heaven on Earth! Seriously... this place is magical! I feel so lucky that I've stayed at Seven Canyons - a Private Residence Club - not once, but twice... what an experience! The only reason I've been able to spend time at Seven Canyons is through a connection Jared has. Seven Canyons is not only surrounded by natural beauty, but the on-site villas are over-the-top incredible! There is no detail that was not thought of from the quality furniture, spacious kitchen, outdoor living room, outdoor shower, heated towel drawer in the master bath, jacuzzi, and more! The architecture on site is gorgeous, the golf course spectacular, and staff friendly. Work-out room is satisfactory as well... I get no cell phone coverage from Seven Canyons when I'm there, but that is a good thing - it allows me to completely zone out. I hope to return again sometime to Seven Canyons - it's such a treat. If given the opportunity to visit, run there - don't walk... and enjoy every moment!

My dad is a member here, so I come every time that I am in Sedona and oh my goodness, it is GORGEOUS! If you play golf, this has to be one of the prettiest courses that you will ever play on. Their restaurant and bar is great with delicious food options and even more delicious *fresh* cocktails. My favorite is their gin, mint, and cucumber cocktail. I could literally drink 10 of them because they are so fresh and go down easily! I am also a fan of their jalapeno margarita but beware, it definitely has a kick! They muddle the jalapeno which makes it nice and spicy. It is a great place to kick back and watch sports. They also have a relaxing pool area and great amenities in their locker room. The only downside is that they don't have a spa on site but you can visit Enchantment down the road if you would like to get a service! All in all, I love coming to Seven Canyons and spending quality father/daughter time at this relaxing establishment! :) Their villas are also TO DIE FOR and i'm highly considering having my bachelorette party in one of them! *You do have to be a member or playing golf to be allowed in the gates!

Throughout the meal, not a single drink at our table was refilled or asked to be refilled once. We spent most of the time with empty drinks, and basic table check-ins were lacking overall. I did jokingly ask the server "What do we get for leaving a review" and I can tell she was taken aback by the question but still came back with my order saying all she could was extra whip cream because she didn't have that kind of reputation. I feel as though this shows her lack of confidence and experience. I don't expect free things, but I do expect attentive service -- especially when asking customers to publicly praise the experience. Hopefully this is taken as constructive criticism because there's definitely room for improvement in attentiveness and customer care. On another note, the pasta was definitely really good. The burger they have two options, pink or no pink we asked for medium rare. It came out pink and what I mean pink I mean pan seared on each side for a couple seconds thrown out a bun and put on the plate and Cook says order done the caramel Brulé I mean if you want some burn Bublé and you like that extra crisp then this is your place I did order the blueberry crumble to go was hoping to get some fresh blueberries but got canned instead, but at the end of the day, I felt like this whole experience was me getting canned so if you're looking to have a shitty experience, some OK food then this is your spot

We ended up sitting outside, and I loved that the patio was covered and equipped with heaters, which made it cozy even with the weather acting up a bit. It was lightly sprinkling, and we did get a few drops here and there, but honestly, it didn't take away from the experience. Now let's talk about the food--absolutely delicious. The deviled eggs were generously stuffed and beautifully presented, which made them just as enjoyable to look at as they were to eat. We shared the filet mignon, served with mushroom risotto, and wow... it was completely out of this world. Perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. We paired it with the honey garlic carrots, and they were the perfect balance of sweet and savory--definitely a standout side. I also ordered a smoked blueberry sour cocktail, and it was so good--unique, refreshing, and well-crafted. Service was solid and consistent throughout the meal. Nothing over-the-top, but everything came out smoothly and as expected. Overall, this spot really delivered--from the ambiance to the flavor-packed dishes. I'd absolutely come back again.

We left both of our meals 3/4 uneaten. We had the calamari as an appetizer- it was soggy, but that wasn't the problem tbh- it was the other two dishes we ordered: the southwest pasta tasted bad. How do you screw up pasta? The description of the dish sounds delish, pasta, mushrooms, chicken, spinach in a tomato cream sauce, it was horrible. Something must have been spoiled in the above listed ingredients to have it taste that way. I had ordered the chicken lettuce wraps as my main and it tasted reheated. The Paloma and Smoky peach margarita had way too much alcohol and also had zero flavor, we asked for them to be removed from our bill because we could not drink them. You can enjoy sunset without eating here as there is a lookout. Save yourself the waste of money and don't eat here. We literally left the Mesa Grill and had to go grab food elsewhere. They also have a pretty elevated menu that surprised me with some of the menu options that were pretty inventive. Vibe: They have plenty of parking, plenty of seating inside and out, and they are dog friendly. There is a lot of open space and I like the area because you get a nice view, the little courtyard is really relaxing and they are very welcoming. Service: One thing that stood out to me was the cans that have a red and green on each side. If you flip it to the green it lets them know you need the host and red if your table is good. They are very attentive this way so I really liked this. Or hosts were very amazing and sweet and gave some good suggestions. Beer: I got one of the ambers, and my wife got one of their lighter beers. Hers kind of had the taste of miller light so it was ok, and mine was good. We did not try yo many beers, their IPA's looked pretty good but we wanted t something light and simple. Food: We opened up with their patatas bravas fries with sweet potato fries and they were really good, we could not stop eating them, the sauce was delicious and the sweet potato fries were perfection. My mother in law got the chicken sandwich and chips and that was definitely the way to go, crispy, savory and just delicious, I got the Thai burger, med rare with chips, this is where I say they got inventive, I have never had a Thai burger and being a cook myself I loved the concept. Unfortunately my burger was a little more rare that mid rare the closer I got to the center of it and under seasoned there were some Thai flavors present but most of it was taken over by the slaw, so you did not get much of the peanut sauce, the crunchy noodle part of it go more soggy and so did the bun. I think it's a wonderful concept, I think there may be a better bun to use to not let it get so soggy, and I think there are some amazing Thai spices you can get with the protein. My wife got the Greek Tacos and they were ok too, I love the concept but I think instead of corn tortillas I would do some thin naan , I would have more Greek style seasoning and some kind of sauce with some heat with it and you have a winner. Over all it was fun, love the inventive concept I was going to do three starts but honestly I love that your doing interesting foods. .
