I love Atwater's! It's probably my favorite brunch spot in the Baltimore area because of their avocado toast and lattes. The Kenilworth location is in the same parking lot as Trader Joe's and can get nutty really quickly (what is it about TJ's parking lots?!) but Atwater's also has a drive through which helps if you're getting something quick. The indoor seating area is small and the building is shaped kind of like an octagon, so it's a bit of a funky space. But it's easy to order things to go and enjoy the tasty treats! read more

So now that we've set the record straight, let's talk about all the other high points associated with Atwater's. - It's local, most everything is handmade with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and you can taste the difference. - OMG the baked goods! All the bread is amazing, particularly the sourdough, but the pastries - the carrot walnut cupcakes and lemon bites are my favorite - are a must. - I know every place offers avocado toast of sorts but theirs is a game changer. The goat cheese and dukkah...chef's kiss. I've tried many a time to replicate their dukkah but alas, no, it never comes close. Add a runny egg on top if you're dining in! The Good- the chicken salad sandwich was really yummy. The craisins added a really nice touch, and the bread was paired very well. The servers were friendly and the food came relatively quick considering how packed the restaurant was. The Not So Good- I was so excited for the watermelon feta salad, but it did not live up to my expectations. There was barely any watermelon and barely any feta, so it was essentially just the Bibb lettuce. It had potential, but just needed more of everything: more watermelon, more almonds, more feta, more dressing. The space is also SO small- making it hard to get a table, and lots of the tables outside were in direct sunlight. Overall, I would come back again but I don't think I would get any of their salads. My first time here, but because of all the positive reviews I decided to stop by. Usually I give a restaurant a second chance before I write a review, but in this case. I ordered Shepherd's Pie, corned beef reuben, and grilled turkey biscuit for take out. This place obviously is way overpriced for the quality of the food. The Reuben wasn't bad, grilled turkey biscuit was super greasy! I don't understand how a grilled sandwich can be that greasy. I don't mind paying the price if the food was half decent. The Reuben was $12.50 but nothing spectacular. Can they spare some sauerkraut? and they have the nerve to charge $1.50 more for a small bag of chips. Lastly the worst of all is the Shepherd's pie, for $13! The size and taste of the pie is laughable. As you can see from my picture posted, the pie is half of a dollar bill. The worst of all it's totally dry and teeth breaking! When did the make this thing? Did they take it out of the freezer then bake? My 13 year old said his Shepherd's pie taste better, which is totally true! My two kids and wife wouldn't even eat the pie. They all tried it once and wife spits it out. It's as hard as a hockey puck and looks like dog food. $13 went down the trash! Avoid this place, unless you like to be overcharged for horrible food. read more

Atwater's... local shop with yummy coffee. You don't even have to skip the drive-thru (Kenilworth location) No excuses to visit a larger chain if you're close by. Truly, their hot mocha is wonderful. Light and delicious. I'm hooked on the flavors. Try it out! Another option is their Belvedere Square location. Full service with lots of options. Ample seating and service is quick. Parking at this location is easy since there's a large parking lot. If full, there is overflow street parking. read more

I have been here quite a few times and I love their selection! They have lots of fresh stuff and it feels healthy while still being tasty!! I love their ham and jelly biscuit! I'm not even a big fan of coffee but I really enjoyed their mocha latte! I love all the windows and my favorite spot to sit is one of the high top tables by the window. It's a really great place to study, get lunch with a friend or find refuge on a rainy day! Also they have their drive thru which is super convenient if you want what feels like a home cooked meal when you're in a rush. First time visiting great soup, great food, great service, and Bronson. The general manager is just a superstar.

When I arrived at Atwater's on Friday for lunch, it was busy. The area is well-lit and well-maintained, and the extensive menu has something for everyone. The staff members I spoke with were pleasant and knowledgeable; they gave advice when I requested it and assisted me in finding utensils when they saw me wandering around aimlessly. Coffee and Turkey Cranberry were on the menu. The sandwich tasted good, but I couldn't taste it. The coffee was excellent and not overly sugary. I'll surely return as is. read more

Disappointing. While I recognize that the restaurant is strictly carry out right now, the effort to please has gone out the window. SO many restaurants are doing carry out really well right now. The too small containers meant that waffles sat atop fruit for that extra smushy, spongy texture. Eggs looked like they were cooked on the flat top right after the bacon (which was phenomenal, as always, though folded into yet another too small box) so they were tinged brown, overcooked, and flavorless. You guys can do better than this. Rethink your packaging and presentation... it's literally the first impression people get of you, now. ‍ And for what we spent? Took a meeting here not too long ago and luckily for me it was one of those "we are definitely eating" and not just a coffee thing. I really love the Atwater's location near me, and friends who see me rocking my Atwater's sweater can attest to that. Walking in I was a little turned around by the way the building is designed but also really loved it. Little bit smaller than the others and it's in a circular shape, thing it's supposed to resemble a lighthouse shape (maybe? don't just me if I'm wrong). The food was delicious and I went ahead and ordered one of their sandwiches that had both turkey and cranberry sauce, not sure if it was seasonal for holidays but would definitely recommend. I really love that they have so many coffee/drink options, and then have a bunch of different beverages available for purchase of take-away. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be pulling by for another bite. read more

Cute and delicious spot located in the Towson area. As a sandwich fanatic I knew how difficult it is to make Chicken salads because most time the chicken is dry, making it difficult to eat. Really wasn't going to order this for that reason, but coworkers insisted that I should order it since it's one of their most popular ones. I'm excited to say that Atwater's has one of the best Chicken Salad Sandwiches I've EVER had. The chicken was not dry and the addition of fresh apples and raisins gives it a little sweetness to go along with the saltiness of the meat. Had some time to kill in Towson so thought I would stop in here for a few hours and get some studying done. Was disappointed to find no free wifi and only one outlet. I've been to the canton location several times, and it is much more conducive to hanging out and getting work done. The menu was the same as at other locations. Their chicken salad sandwich is one of my favorites! Tried a chai latte with a shot of espresso, but it really wasn't for me (overwhelming spice). Service was very quick, almost to the point of being too brisk (waitress was already walking off before I finished saying my order). Appreciated the fact that I wasn't rushed or bothered for staying an extended period of time and monopolizing a table, but tbh she could have checked in on me a few times (had to flag her down more than once). I do like that this location has a drive through! If I were in the area again I probably would come to get food that way. Would probably skip this place for a study spot again. read more

(bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato) is delicious with the reddest juiciest tomatoes! Only complaint is that it is a tiny venue, I almost always get it to go because getting a table is close to impossible. There were lots of people waiting when I got their for lunch last week. Good but not amazing. My mom makes better. This place is small and feels chaotic. There is very little room to stand when waiting. It's not highly visible that you don't seat yourself. We also had the waffles in our group (nothing special). The regular coffee was earthy and aromatic. I'd be interested in trying their espresso-based drinks as well. It may be the crushed ice, the pipes, I don't know. Anyhow - I was starving, out in Towson for a meeting and Atwater's was the closest place to my location that appeared on my map. Thus, that's where I drove before I fainted. The place is a cute (though small and very tight) deli that's half coffee shop and half sit down restaurant. Very healthy oriented. I mean, these guys are the ONLY ONES that convinced me to eat a sandwich with APPLES instead of fries. They just put em there so nicely cut and I was like: I guess I'll eat these! I ordered the grilled cheese with bacon. It was toasted to perfection with a hint of (cheese!? Butter?!) on the toast. Inside, a gooey mix of cheeses!! I really enjoy this location. It is spacious, clean, and welcoming. I have been here a handful of times for business meetings and a quite place to grab a bit to eat and work. The food is fantastic. It is always tasty and I never feel guilty after I eat a meal. My personal favorite is the avocado toast, which is one of the best I've ever had. My only gripe, which is minor, is that this place has an identity crisis, which can be confusing. The first time I went here I used the drive through to order a sandwich and they told me you can't order much of the food through the drive through. I finally have this place a try. First time, we went to a different location and the place was so crowded, we decided to leave. This location was perfect.
