Hired atx movers to unload my moving truck. They were great. Fast forward a few weeks and I tried to hire them again for the same exact job. Then came the bait and switch and up charging. First job was $45 travel time since I am 5 miles outside of there normal coverage area. This time it was $298!!! Excuse me?!? That is unethical price gouging. It's such a shame that they have turned so crooked. I really liked their guys which is why I went back to them this time. Sadly they aren't getting my business ever again. Be careful! read more

This was my first time hiring movers and Justin and Miguel really showed up well. They were very fast moving my 1 bedroom, even running at times to hustle, I felt confident not a minute was wasted. I worked with ATX movers for the 2nd time today and like before they did a great job. I can't recall the movers by name, I believe one was Chris. I had a 2 bedroom move from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor. They got my move done a little shy of two hours. The price I was quoted is what I paid. Nothing was damaged. They took apart my bed and put it back together with no issue and quickly. The prices are reflective of the times of course with gas and inflation. I'd hire these guys again and again. This was a very hassle free process. The first assessor who came by did a great job estimating the amount of time, people needed and size of the trailer. On the day of the move, everything fit neatly in the trailer, the team was careful of the items and friendly throughout the process. Highly recommend! We've used ATX Movers twice, and they've been great to work with! The first time we got to work with Justin and Eric, and they made the move easy and took great care in handling our stuff. They're also so patient with us as we tried to figure out where we wanted everything to go inside our apartment. It was pretty cool that we got to request Justin and Eric AGAIN. We moved into our new place on 3/22/2024. I used Yelp to get quotes from several movers. We scheduled almost two weeks prior. When I was getting quotes, I remembered that we had previously used ATX Movers four years ago when we moved into our previous place. April was quick to respond and very helpful with the information she provided and the quote. April confirmed two days before the big day. We were scheduled for an arrival window between 9 AM and 9:30 AM. On the day of, Elijah called me before 9 AM to let me know their ETA was about 30 minutes. We had a two-man team with Elijah and Danny. We reviewed the terms and pricing and got to work. They started at 9:15 AM and ended at 12:15 PM. We had all our furniture and boxes labeled and all the rooms upstairs. Everything went to the right place and no damages to report. Elijah and Danny were so personable and professional. They offered 250.00 for all my damage what a shame it cost me over 350.00 to repair my wall unit, another 1100.00 to replace the water softener, hundreds to replace all the framing, another 550.00 to reupholster my chair and y'all know what that piece of Midcentury modern furniture piece cost me that's in the pictures they destroyed. They were good. Worked hard. Responsive and courteous. The only issue we had was that some of the packers just through stuff in boxes without any paper wrapping or protection. Some of our artwork was damaged, it wasn't expensive artwork but it was unique and it was ours. Some boxes had wrapping galore - plastic cups with 3 layers of packing paper while some boxes had glass items and nice speakers/ electronics with zero wrapping. One our our $500 Sonos speakers with fabric covering over the speaker was torn - just careless. Also, a painting my wife had created was ripped because it wasn't wrapped in any paper - luckily she didn't like the painting, I did so that was a real bummer. Seems to be luck of the draw on quality based on who packed which box. read more

I had the pleasure of using ATX movers for my local move today. My movers were Elijah and Staphone and they were phenomenal from start to finish. They called me and advised me how far out they were and when they would arrive. They worked diligently and took care of all of my household goods. On a side not if Elijah tells you he can make it happen, he is definitely a man of his word. I thought my items wouldn't fit and maybe I would need to storage units but when I tell you Elijah came through, he came through and not only that they finished much faster than I had anticipated. I really wish I could have used these guys with my previous move from Fort Worth to Plugerville. Nevertheless, if I should EVER need movers in the future I will DEFINITELY chose these guys. No money was saved because I purposely overestimated the amount of items we'd need to have moved to get a worst case scenario for the quote we were trying to get price matched. We were able to fit most things in my crossover. They charged us a trip fee when I explicitly stated I would use them if they agreed to $105/hour and no trip fee. The movers really took pride in their work and initially felt bad worrying if they would be able to do a job good enough and make me pleased because it was a little more complex than they initially quoted. I was happy to pay a little extra and the guys worked really hard. From management to the movers even though at first they were a little shell shocked where the actual stuff to be moved was more than initially imagined it turned into a great experience and the team of two guys took a big moving burden off my plate. Didn't even get a chance to experience this company because their time management/reliability/customer service skills are horrible! Scheduled a move with them on the 16th of Feb for the 22nd. That was last Tuesday it is now Monday. They give you a 'window' in which they are scheduled to arrive and supposed to call you 30 mins prior, which is understandable and in this case was 12-4pm... didn't call us at all 30 mins prior, didn't pick up the phone when I called to confirm ETA, I left a voicemail and they called back like they did nothing wrong asking to confirm addresses which we had explicitly confirmed the day prior. Do not recommend them! As a Veteran myself, using 'Veteran Owned' in your company slogan doesn't give you a pass on providing an exceptional experience for the costumer or acting like we OWE you business. I was quoted 3-4 hours, gave advance warning of one piece of furniture that was particularly heavy, and ended up with a bill based on approx. 10 hours. Expecting the $150/hr rate for far less time, I ended up with a bill of $1,388.44, and tipped each mover $100 cash. The movers themselves did a great job. My problem is with the gross difference between what I was quoted, and what I ended up paying. read more

I'm moving via portable storage container, and when my leasing office said it couldn't be parked outside I panicked. ATX Movers turned on a dime to get me an earlier time AND a truck just days ahead of the move. My movers Manny and Kevin were awesome! They were fast, thorough and friendly. They did a great job packing up my stuff and getting everything loaded in the storage container. Manny and Kevin even went the extra mile to make sure my fragile items were packed carefully and tied everything down with Eagle Scout-style knots and rope. Storage containers are always a crapshoot so I feel good knowing my stuff was secured as much as possible. My move started with a courtesy call from Manny, letting me know the arrival time I had scheduled was when he would show up. I moved my 1 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor, to a house nearby with 2 floors. Most of the heave furniture had to be carried down 3 flights of stairs and up one flight of stairs, in a home with a narrow, steep stairwell that was "c" shaped with a SMALL landing at the "c" curve. The floors in the house are imported hardwood and I was so scared they would get scratched. Manny & Miguel worked together beautifully to get my HEAVY and CUMBERSOME furniture up those stairs, with hardly a scratch to the floors or walls. They were both very pleasant, and professional during the entire move. My biggest call out is to April in the office. What a sweetie! She was the first to return my call when looking for movers, and set up my move, making suggestions to drop off the furniture I did not want, to go to the Goodwill during the move! That really helped me out! Last but not least, movers are underrated! This is a back-breaking job! They far exceeded the hourly wage I paid for this move in my opinion. If you hire movers, PLEASE remember to tip them graciously! Also, because they worked so hard and fast, the budget I had anticipated to pay for this move, cost me $200 less than I thought it would! read more

I had these guys move some new sets of furniture Into my living room, master bedroom, and my oldest sons bedroom today. Four Hands furniture was too busy to deliver it, so I Yelped moving companies. They (Justin and Daniel) showed up at 10 AM to Four Hands and were at my house shortly thereafter to begin unloading and assembling the stuff. They wore masks and foot protection the whole time and the whole transaction could not have gone smoother. We love our new furniture and you guys saved me the time of assembling everything so I could spend the whole weekend with my family. Top-notch operation all the way around In response to the bogus 2-star review with complaints from Sienna W. who ATX Movers has no record of...that is a fake review written by a woman in town who loves to write fake 1 Star reviews of a landscaping company and a construction company I'm employed by, and 5 star reviews for the company she owns. In order for this fake 1 Star/5 Star scheme of hers to work and for reviews to stick without being filtered, she thinks she needs "seasoned accounts" instead of new accounts. The way she tries to accomplish this is by making fake accounts, then over the course of several months giving random places reviews of varying star levels (even if she's never done business with them). Once she feels like she has enough reviews to trick Yelps algorithm, she hits my companies with her fake 1 Star reviews. Every time it happens, I am able to successfully report and remove these reviews. In this case, ATX Movers was the unfortunate collateral damage in this pathetic woman's scheme. Pro tip for the sad, confused woman who leaves these bogus reviews: Yelp tracks everything through Location Services GPS data, shared Spectrum and Cell provider data agreements along with meta-data from Visa/MasterCard/AMEX to verify transactions actually occurred with the person that claims to have done business with the company. The Yelp mobile App also grabs the IMEI number from your iPhone. If the same device is used to make reviews for multiple accounts, it deducts from the algorithmic score. If you search and view a business, then text another phone contact to make a fake review for you, it detects that. Extra bonus negative points if you text another phone the actual text for the fake review you want and then that review shows up later. Enough various deductions for not conforming to their checklist and your reviews get filtered. If the software doesn't automatically catch it without someone reporting their review first, then a person reporting the review will cause the software to take a second, more stringent/biased look at the review to determine if it is fake or not. It really is that easy. Even if you do everything perfectly, they still know fake reviews with about a 94-96% accuracy. There are simply too many metrics that yelp uses in order to filter illegitimate reviews, that the average person cannot consistently get away with posting fake reviews. No matter how good your fake reviews are, you will never trick yelps computer for any length of time. Yelp spends $18,000,000+ per year on algorithmic development/refinement, you're not going to fool them with your iPhone 6, $299 PC laptop and half-baked cockamamie reviews. Just stop trying and earn your reviews the right way, by doing honest, good work... read more
