Pate Chaud and banh mi had a baby and you would have this! The flakey bread and filling came together so well, I was very surprise to see that there was an actual meatball too! WOW, literally the best of both worlds. I called in to order 5 and luckily they said it should be ready in about 10 minutes. Located in plaza with other commercial businesses, so drive slow and look for the PARIS white sign. It's a cute little place and the service was fast and super friendly

Always a hit at any parties, gathering. I love their sandwich patesso ( just like banh mi but pocket banh mi with đồ chua, chả lụa inside) They also have Vietnamese ice coffee and its pretty stront You can call to order through phone conveniently

Almond croissant They used to be much bigger but now shrinking, like everything else

Au Coeur de Paris has very good almond croissants. But you need to get there early because they have odd hours. They're open only from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm daily! Many times I came at 1:05 pm and their doors were already closed and they were gone! Butter croissants are $4.50 and almond croissants are $5.50, if you want to know their prices. I haven't tried anything else so I can't comment on them.

Croissant $4 A little under $4, but for the price and size, well worth it. It's even good room temperature, but warmed is even better (they'll ask if you want it warmed up). The flavor by itself is salty and buttery enough and definitely not bland. I still think this croissant is Paris level but maybe better in terms of flavor lol Ham and cheese croissant Haven't had these in a min, but there's also a béchamel sauce inside with the ham and cheese. Quite indulgent , but worth every penny. Chouquettes Like an unfilled cream puff covered in large sugar crystals. Addictive and airy. Service is pretty good depending who you get :) This place is still consistent even after all these years! They accept card and will charge 50¢ if the order is under $10

I stopped by for the first time and was immediately greeted by the nicest gentleman. I wasn't sure what their special sandwich was called, but he knew exactly what I meant and got my order going right away, which made everything so easy. I ordered two pâté chaud sandwiches and the wait was super short. The sandwich was incredible!! It was sooo crispy, warm, and full of flavor. It's such a smart idea & a great innovation to combine two Vietnamese delicacies together that gives you the best of both worlds. The service was amazing, there was plenty of parking, the workers were the sweetest, and the food was absolutely worth it.

I've been hearing about their Banh Mi Pate Chaud for a while and finally had the chance to stop by. The Banh Mi Pate Chaud was very flaky, which I loved, but the BBQ pork inside was dry. I love both banh mi and pate chaud, so I was excited about the concept, but it felt rather lacking. It has so much potential, so I'm willing to give it another try--maybe I just got an off one this time. I also tried the Vietnamienne sandwich on a croissant, and I ended up liking this one more than the pate chaud. Their croissants are deliciously airy and buttery, and the combination worked well. I'd love to come back and try their popular croissant pastries, as they seem to be a standout. Parking was easy, with an almost empty lot, though there's a $0.50 charge for card payments under $10. Service was good, but just a heads-up--there's no seating available. Overall, Au Coeur De Paris has potential, and I'm looking forward to exploring more of their menu next time.

This my second time here, and definitely easy going and great service for sure. Easy parking and small menu. The hole in the wall was cute and clean fills with baked goods upon walking in. So I heard that they're known for the Pate Chaud and baguettes, and they do yummy. I ordered a pate chaud, a sandwich and a sweet treat. Pate Chaud has a great but small portion well mixed meat filling, the crusty pastry was mixed for me, top part was crusty and smell fantastic but as you voted into it, it become tough and abit chewy for me. The bánh mì, for me didn't do much - just nothing special. The baguette was not hot nor crisp as you bite in it, it was just room temperature. The size is abit smaller then other place with decent price for it. The opera cake was abit disappointed for me, I love love this cake and it was just below average for me, abit sweeter then I would like, the bottom of the cake sticked to the paper and the cake itself was just fell like cake mixed from the box. Just nothing special. The displaced cakes look great so will come back to get them to give a taste another time.

Been coming here for years and the quality is still good today as when they first opened. I came into town to visit family and took my kids here for the first time and they tried the pate chaud banh mi. Wow they ate it all so quickly! So delicious! Au Coeur De Paris is a true hidden gem....we will be back for more!

Au Coeur De Paris is a local bakery specializing in pate chaud and croissant banh mis! This shop is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots. Inside, there is no seating so this is definitely more of a grab and go spot. Keep in mind that this shop is only open from 7am-1pm while supplies last! They have a good selection of different pastries, cakes, and sandwiches. I opted to try the croissant banh mi and it did not disappoint! The croissant provided a nice switch up from the usual banh mi with its soft, buttery, airy texture. Overall, this spot is definitely more of a hole in the wall gem. All of the staff here are very friendly, quick, and efficient. Come stop by to support and try some of their unique banh mis!

Randomly stop while I was getting lottery next door, found my self coming here 2 days in a row. I love the pate chaud, wasn't dry, flakey and buttery with good amount and tasty pork meat. Paid $4.50 for 2 pate chaud. I also got the almond croissant which was good also, not too sweet, just the right amount of sweetness.

    Warm and flakey Pate Chaud.

Do you have King Cake? If not, can you recommend a bakery?

No. This is a French bakery that specializes in Parisian treats and elegant cakes. You'll likely find the King Cake at Latino bakeries or where there is a strong Catholic community that celebrates this religious holiday.

Do they cater? Do they have party sizes? I heard there is a secret menu, how do you know about it?

I think I just rekindled a long-lost relationship with this bakery…read more The last time I visited was probably a few years ago, and while I remember liking it well enough, I wasn't exactly blown away by the vegetarian and vegan options at the time. Fast forward to recently, and their Instagram marketing team deserves a raise because they absolutely got me. Every other scroll seemed to feature some gorgeous vegan pastry or savory item, and before I knew it, I was planning a visit solely based on cravings induced by social media. The pistachio croissant, pâté chaud, and sticky rice had been living rent-free in my head for weeks. Let me just say: this place exceeded the hype. The pâté chaud was the star of the show. I ordered both the regular version and the "beef" version. The vegan beef filling was tasty, but there wasn't a whole lot of it. The regular pâté chaud, on the other hand, was generously filled with vegan pork and mushrooms and was absolutely phenomenal. Flavorful, savory, and wrapped in the flakiest, butteriest pastry imaginable. One bite and I was immediately transported back to childhood. Pâté chaud was one of those treats my dad would always bring home for me growing up, so finding a vegetarian version felt like discovering buried treasure. Not to be dramatic, but I would happily eat a concerning number of these in one sitting. The xôi gà (sticky rice with seasoned vegan chicken) was another knockout. In my excitement, I started eating it immediately instead of waiting to warm it up first. Rookie mistake. By the time I realized my error, I had already inhaled most of it. After heating up the remaining portion, I finally understood what I had deprived myself of. The warm version was next-level delicious. If the room-temperature version was an A, the heated version graduated summa cum laude. I have been thinking about it ever since and am currently fighting the urge to drive back for more as I write this review. The girl working at the counter was also incredibly sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Needless to say, I will not be waiting another few years before returning. In fact, if you see someone sprinting toward the pastry case for vegan pâté chaud and sticky rice, there's a decent chance it's me.

Also a heads up, you have to spend at least $20 to be able to use a card, so bring cash! I tried their honeycomb cake (in a half moon shape, good for 3-4 servings) and their vegan pork pate chaud. Both of these items were good! They were also reasonably priced as I got both for ~$8-9. The honeycomb cake was slightly sweet and chewy. The vegan pastry was flaky despite being vegan! There was a good amount of filling, which consisted of the vegan pork and mushrooms. It was savory and had a good texture too. The only other thing I may ever come back for is their vegan fried chicken but the smallest amount you have to buy 1/2 lb which is $12

I ended up buying almost one of everything. Unfortunately, the pâté chaud was already sold out by noon, which was actually the item I was most interested in trying. As for the items I did try, the durian bánh pía was overly soft and mushy for my taste. The bánh tiêu was just average and didn't stand out. The chè desserts tasted homemade, which some people may appreciate, but I found them fairly basic and not particularly memorable. The bánh trung thu was decent, but not something I would go out of my way to purchase again. Perhaps these products are exceptional compared to what is available where the bakery originated, but being in Orange County, the competition is extremely strong and there are many outstanding Vietnamese bakeries and dessert shops. I genuinely wanted to like this place and support them, especially after spending quite a bit and trying a wide variety of items, but overall I left disappointed. I may return one day to try the pâté chaud, since that was unavailable during my visit, but based on what I sampled, I don't see myself becoming a regular customer.
