Lady behind the counter greeted us with a smile as we walked in. Place looked clean and fresh. I ordered the edgewater hero. My son got the chicken teriaki. The subs look larger than a foot-long and they packed everything with meat, veggies, and sauce of your choice. I was only able to finish half so I saved half for later. the Edgewater hero tasted great with turkey, roast beef and ham. I got the pepper jack cheese with garlic aïoli, and some mayo. I tasted the chicken teriyaki and the meat was tender fresh and the teriyaki sauce was very flavorful. I was impressed with the bread. I asked if they cooked it on site, but they get it from a local restaurant source. still, the bread tasted like it was homemade. Stopped here for a sub to go around lunch time on Saturday. There's a few tables inside so you have the option of eating there. The staff was friendly and we chatted while they were making my order after they took everyone's order. I opted for tbe turkey sub with several veggies. You have options for cheese, veggies and sauces. They toasted the sub for me with the provolone cheese and topped it off with the Edgewater sauce, a garlic aioli. If you're looking for the perfect sub shop, you've found it!! They have the nicest workers, MANY options of food/drinks, a cute indoor area, and delicious food!!! They even have a few parking sports right out front!! I decided on the turkey sandwich sub & Cajun fries!!! You can add whatever veggies and sauce you want!!! I highly recommend the "Edgewater sauce" (which is a garlic aioli type sauce) and the "Chipotle mayo" - both were fantastic and made my sandwich / fries even better!!! The potion sizes are big, I saved my second half of my sub for lunch the next day! Pop it in the oven or air fryer and it was just as good the next day!!!! We picked up our food to go from Edgewater Subs to take with us to a park. When we got into the car immediately it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever smelled! Once we got to the park, we had our sandwiches and they were amazing. I got a turkey sub with some toppings and my partner got something similar. We also got the Cajun fries and those were so yummy! I'd like to be more positive because the guy at the counter is enthusiastic and friendly. But my first visit on St Patrick's Day for a corned beef sandwich was disappointing. The meat was dry and sliced too thick so not tender. I checked the online menu at few days later and it seems that they raised the price on that day also. A trip to Slymans would have been less expensive and far better. I tried again a week ago and got a pretty decent Chicken Teriyaki sandwich. Heck yes. I'm a tough critic on sandwiches, because they are my true love. Edgewater Subs flames the fire, guys. So good. I got the Reuben, priced at $15. It was a perfect ratio of beef to bread to kraut to sauce. No sog! It tasted perfect and was so satisfying. I also got the fries with Edgewater sauce (like a garlic aioli) which was fantastic. Husband got the Edgewater sub, which was turkey, bacon, THE sauce, provolone and he added pickles and banana peppers. I was a little jealous of his sandwich because it looked perfect. Like when you see a commercial for food and the real thing actually looks like it? He loved it, said it had great taste. Large portion and quality ingredients. The owner, Amin, was super nice. When we finally ordered, it was 15 mins until we got our food. 2 subs, both incorrect. One came with tomatoes when we ordered without and the other came on sub bread when we ordered a pita. It was clear the sub was cut with a dirty knife as there was mustard on the sandwich where the bread was cut and there wasn't mustard on either sandwich. But the overall quality of the sandwich was abysmal because they use an inferior quality turkey that I would not give to a dog. And I didn't care for their aioli sauce (a matter of taste I know), but they slathered on way too much. The serious problem was the turkey and if you care about your health, do not order it.
