We went for the first time on Tuesday night and had a great evening! We started at the bar for happy hour - ends at 6:30 which is a plus and the pizza looked amazing! After our drinks, we grabbed a table and both the bartender and server were sweet and you could tell they knew their regulars and made you feel at home even if you weren't. So my company has our yearly Christmas lunch here and this place has always been very spot on. I've only been here for a company Christmas event so I'm not sure about the full menu but what I have eaten here has been great. The main dish differs from chicken Parmesan or a veal, but the sides are always their green beans which are fantastic... A side of pasta with a large meatball and a side salad. I personally really liked their marinara sauce and I definitely would've gone back for seconds if that was an option. The people that serve here are always friendly and very attentive and that's gotta be tough because I think there were only three or maybe four servers and it's a large group of people probably 65 or more. After dinner, they always have a nice selection of desserts to try. I think I'd like to definitely come here on more of a personal setting and not a work function, but I still do like this place. The Sunday sauce had a sour, salty taste on my spaghetti. Though the service was excellent, I was disappointed in the meatballs as well. They tasted like the frozen bagged ones. It's just not as delicious as it was many years ago. The restaurant itself is lovely. read more

This was our first time trying out Stancato's . We went there for dinner and decided to dine in the bar area. Liz was very helpful in guiding us to the right things to try (I don't think there is a wrong thing!). We started with the Hot Stuffed Peppers and the Fritto Misto (fried shrimp/calamari). The Fritto Misto was truly the best I've ever had; the breading was so delicate and light and the Marinara was perfection. The rolls they serve are so unique and delicious; light and savory I ate too many of them! I didn't try the Hot Stuffed Peppers because I don't do hot but Larry ate the whole thing and wanted more. I had the Sunshine Salad and fell in love with their Citrus Vinaigrette Dressing. It was ample size, enough to share, and full of strawberries, oranges and almonds. I don't normally think of a world class steak at an Italian Restaurant but Liz suggested it so Larry ordered the Filetto Romano and OMG it was so tender, cooked to perfection and the brandy butter sauce was incredible. I ordered the Veal Calabrese and it was delicious, lightly breaded veal topped with Prosciutto, Spinach and mozzarella in lemon butter sauce - yes, yes, yes! And you get a pasta side so I had the Capellini with the Genovese Basil Pesto which tasted so fresh. Between the appetizers and the bread there was no room left for dessert! Why is my 3 topping pizza 20$ when sitting at the bar with my husband and his lasagna was (round up) 26$ . I love their food but not a fan of the overpriced food! Been there 2x but not going back. Plus, we sat in the bar tonight and the poor bartender was so overwhelmed with all the guests. She is a good bartender but got upset when I told her my husbands drink was not correct and the ginger ale was flat. Even the coke was flat in my husbands drink. She put ginger ale in my husband drink instead of coke. She is trying but she needs more staff support. Maybe so she doesn't want the support for trips. The eternal quest for NEO's best Veal Parmigiana continues. First time here. Came with my wife and son on a Tuesday evening. Got there a few minutes before six and was seated immediately. It is a big place, separate bar area that seemed really active while the restaurant side was a little less active. Food and service were both excellent. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive. Wife had Veal Marsala, son had Lasagna and I, of course, had Veal Parmigiana. Portions were huge (plenty for lunch the next day), fairly priced. Dinner came with soup or salad. Dinner rolls were outstanding. They are unique...haven't had anything like them. Super good. Decent enough drink and wine list. Started with a pre-dinner Manhattan that was the only weak spot in the evening. Weak, didn't seem well crafted. Had a glass of Chianti with dinner that was very good. I received gift cards to Stancato's and have been saving them all year so that I could order a nice Christmas dinner. I just called to place my order and was told that I am unable to use the gift cards on Christmas Eve. This is not stated anywhere. It's just something they make up as they go along. Is that legal? I guess it's too inconvenient for them to process a gift card. Not sure why that's different from a credit card. So disappointed. Very poor customer service!!!!! read more

Been going here for years, food is above average, and it's a nice neighborhood restaurant. Haven't eaten in the restaurant since COVID, but have continued doing takeout. Noticed something yesterday that questions whether I will ever return. Ordered a medium pizza to go from a 2020 menu that was in the island drawer (needed the phone number). Noticed a 45% price increase from the old menu in hand compared to the quote over the phone. Picked up the order and noticed a smaller box and significantly smaller pizza inside. Menus said 12" medium, what I received was a 10" medium instead, slightly larger than a small 9" pie. The food was great, the service exceeded my expectations. The accommodation was great for that amount of people. I personally have no negatives, and none of my guests had even a "if this was (whatever)" it was perfect. Any of the extra food was boxed and given to us. My family and I used to come here on a weekly basis and sit in the lounge area for their happy hour. They had one of the best fish fry's for lent, too. The lounge area had a nice ambiance. It used to be a good place! Sadly, the happy hour is no longer there along with the good pricing. They seem significantly higher with the fish fry now $25 and my four stuffed shells $23. Everything jumped dramatically in cost. I don't normal mind paying for good food, but unfortunately all of it came out pretty cold. My shells were mediocre, cold, and overpriced. My family ordered pizzas to share which were not hot either. One person gave it a 5/10. My girlfriend's Marsala was good though, so there's that. Everything else appeared very forgettable. Kudos to the wait staff for doing their best when they were short people, but when my father asked a girl for bread, she stared at him, shrugged, and walked away without a word. Very bizarre. We visited Stancato's because we received a gift card for this restaurant Christmas of last year. Since it's not close to us we kept forgetting about it. The first impression was warm and inviting. It had this charm and ambiance. I loved watching families celebrating birthdays, couples, business meetings and so forth going on all at one time. It indeed seems to be a gathering place and you can see they have a following. I'm happy that the rest seems to be thriving. The food was ok. I had a salad and my husband had pasta with pesto and calamari. November 26, 2019 Visited for a second time for lunch. It was a better experience. Husband had pasta and I had pepperoni pizza. The sauces it comes with are a perfect zingy balance to these warm and crisp rice balls of joy! I got the Cavatelli Genovese and it was incredible. I called ahead of time before placing an order for chicken picatta on Door Dash. I wanted to be sure there wouldn't be any Parmesan on it because I'm allergic. In response, this woman snapped that she orders it all the time and there is no cheese on it. I asked her to make sure and she repeated like a parrot what she said about ordering it and there not being cheese on it. She copped a huge attitude and sarcastically goes "Have a nice daaaay!!" Door Dash brings me (wait for it) , chicken PARMESAN. After I told her I was allergic. Thankfully, Door Dash reimbursed me and I ordered from Frankie's in North Olmsted which has consistently great food and even SERVICE. They never once sent me an item I was allergic to!!
