First visit. Yum Yum. Calzone is more than enough for 2! The peppers make it a tad zingy so if you don't enjoy a bit of heat make sure to ask them to hold those peppers. Awesome neighborhood shop with pizza, sandwiches, wraps, salads and more! We stopped in after visiting the arboretum. Great food and friendly service! We had the Buffalo chicken wrap, sausage sandwich and Italian stallion. All were excellent! We had a side of coleslaw with blue cheese which was SOOOO good! There are a few tables inside and outside. After several recommendations from the Missionaries at the church historical sites we came for lunch and it es even better than we imagined. The people were so friendly, food was incredible and they kept bring items to sample as we waited for our fresh food to be delivered. Wish we had something like this back home. Just tried Down the Block's pizza for first time and we have a new pizza place! It's HUGE and so flavorful. Large pieces of sausage and pepperoni with wonderful sauce. Most pizza today lacks flavor but was pleasantly surprised with the taste! We also ordered the Godfather sub and we were blown away! So much inside of this delicious sandwich. The food is very good and the people seem very nice. Had a solid pizza, lots of quality ingredients, chicken tenders were very high quality, and a good wrap. It is primarily a takeout place and I would give it 5 stars for takeout if they could find a more sustainable choice for their boxes vs Styrofoam. They also have an incredible selection of food choices so something for everyone on takeout. Absolutely delicious! I'm a calzone fanatic and this place crushed all expectations with their godfather calzone. It was so delicious. Cooked to perfection with a slight zing in the flavor thanks to the banana peppers. I also tried their eggplant parm. I'm not usually a fan because eggplant has never appealed to me but this was so tender and flavorful. Lastly we had their cheese and Hawaiian pizzas and they didn't disappoint at all. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a restaurant..and I'm 60 years old ! They have no idea how real restaurants work, as they are "in the weeds" if they get more than 2 customers. My order was not prepared correctly, after ordering directly with the owner. When I called the restaurant to express my disappointment, one of the owners hung up on me TWICE! I had to drive back there. I told them that after 3 days of hospitalization, this was my 82 year old mom's first choice of places to eat-- and the food was horrible. The owner's response was, "There's a restaurant that way up the road, and this way up the road..." I was appalled at their horrible, argumentative attitude, especially after the owner assured me my order would be correct. This place is overpriced and dysfunctional. The husband of the owner is always angry and yelling at the employees. Good thing I have the whole ordeal audio recorded, and pictures of the food, so he can't deny how unprofessional and rude he was. read more

Tried it for the first time a few days ago. I got the fried chicken sub. Hand breaded chicken tenders, toasted roll=really good! Fries are like fries you get at a fair, also good even though I'm not usually big on fries. Husband got BBQ chicken pizza , said it was very good as was his cheesecake. My wife was so glad I did after the day she had at work, this comfort food hit the spot. She even said the tiramisu dessert that was handmade by Mimi, Frank's wife, was on par with what she's had down in Little Italy. The lightly breaded chicken breast on soft focaccia bread with fresh tomatoes and pesto is heavenly. The combinations of chaste is amazing. And then, if you try the Italian roast beef, you'll never want try anything else. Roasted by the owner for eight hours and served on soft ciabatta bread, it was the best roast beef I've tasted in a very long time My husband's favorite is the Godfather Italian sub sandwich.
