Dennis Aubin came highly recommended by our realtor, and with good reason. That he came out to Centerville (mid-Cape) on a Sunday was a huge plus. He arrived early - about 15 minutes before we did - and had already noted several things on the outside of the house. From the very onset he invited us to follow him closely and to ask questions. He was thorough, efficient, and very professional while at the same time being affable and pleasant. He clearly had well-established routines as a result of years of experience, and for that reason was great fun to watch in action. He emailed a first draft of the inspection to us from his smart phone before leaving the house. The official version was emailed to us only a few hours later, including many more photos and a detailed summary of his findings. I wouldn't hesitate to refer him to anyone in eastern MA. read more

First, I'd like to say that Aubin is fantastic at what he does. Extremely thorough. I have used him twice but won't use his services again. While he is great and the actual job, he is horrible with getting things to you in a timely manner. I never got my report in 24 hours. It was more like 48 hours and then (both times) he sent me the report in a strange format that can't be opened unless you own the software he uses. So technically the report comes in 2 days but he is impossible to reach and both times I did not get the report (in a format like PDF that the average person's computer can open) for 3 days! And it took nearly 2/weeks to get radon results. Unlike some other inspector, he doesn't let the radon company email you. he forwards it to you. I think the problem is that he is in control of everything. He works all day but none of his secretaries have access to his files so even if they reach him to let him know that he messed up and needs to send correct report, you won't get it until @ least 11 pm. For my third inspection, I used Precision. got my report in like 10 hours. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend trying Precision instead. read more

Dennis was extremely thorough and recommended by my Agent. When coming to the home inspection, the seller's agent was disappointed as they have also recommended Dennis and know any issue will be uncovered. I received my report within 24 hours, and a follow-up more thorough report within 48 hours, this was even for a ~4000 sqft 4 family property. Due to Dennis' due diligence with the inspection, I was able to back out of the deal due to significant concerns. I would definitely use Dennis again. read more

Absolutely the best home inspection I have ever had. I have bought and sold about 15 different times and normally use the 'big' name inspection company. This time I used Dennis Aubin and was amazed. I cannot recommend him highly enough - he was so thorough and helpful. The sellers were present for his inspection and they too were really impressed with him. The +/- 30 page report he sent me after was like a reference book, complete with photos to refresh my memory about what he pointed out during the inspection. Called to book appointment. Got Dennis on the phone and booked a week out. Said he would call when he got to the office to confirm. Never called. I followed up and voice mail box was full and no answer. Called few days later and he confirmed date. Night before inspection texted me at 8pm to say he was sick and will be laid up for a week and cancelled home inspection I was having next day. Offered condolences and asked if he could give me a name I could call to get the inspection done. Never heard from him again. Good luck with this service. read more

I would not recommended this inspector. He missed many things in his home inspection report that cost me tens of thousands of dollars and I would have not purchased the house if i knew about the issues. Dennis did a horrible job identifying things I should have been worried about. I actually had to pay another inspector after i got the house to inspect and find out what was wrong and they couldn't believe Aubin Inspection report. I would find someone else besides Aubin that cares about you and going to do it right the first time. I put all my trust in Aubins Building Inspection company and they failed me. Dennis is a good and thorough inspector. He sent me the inspection report in PDF format about a half hour after the job was done. He also took a lot of pictures of the things in the house that needed repair or attention and they were in the PDF. read more

Dennis recently inspected a home for us in Dennis, MA. He was every bit as good and thorough as our agent indicated he would be. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and patient with explanations. This is the "worst" home inspector ever...He spoke to me regarding a home inspection, he told me he could come out and inspect a house the following week. I made an appointment with Dennis Aubin to come and inspect Thursday @ 11.00. April 5th. My sister, real estate agents, and house owners all waiting and waiting for him to show up. They all took the time for this appointment. Well, the inspector NEVER showed up. I called him 2 weeks prior to this appointment..We spoke verbally and I sent him a text to confirm and then I called him to confirm "again" to make sure he was going to arrive. My sister then called him on the day of the inspection and asked him where he was and his response was I did not have an appointment. "WHAT" BAD BUSINESS..."WE" are all so outraged at this company, for treating a new customer like this. I would "NEVER" recommend this guy to anyone ever! He does not know HOW to run a business, Very irate and disgusted customer. read more
