Dangerous customer service. If I could give zero stars, I would. We attended a baby shower here this weekend, hosted by a woman who is 36 weeks pregnant, for a guest of honor who is also in her third trimester. Despite the indoor dining area being completely empty--we were literally the only customers in the establishment until 2:00 PM--management stubbornly refused to let our group sit inside. Their excuse? Our "party size was too big." Instead of showing an ounce of flexibility or basic human decency, they forced a heavily pregnant host and her guests to sit outside during an active Heat Warning. It was 93°F outside with a heat index making it feel like 105°F. This isn't just a matter of poor customer service; it's a severe health and safety hazard. Forcing women who are weeks away from their due dates to endure triple-digit heat index conditions while indoor, air-conditioned tables sit completely vacant is downright negligent. It showed a shocking lack of empathy. When we finally went inside just to take a few photos before leaving, it was confirmed that the space was completely unused. To value arbitrary, nonsensical "rules" over the medical safety and comfort of your patrons is a miserable way to run a business. We will never be back, and I strongly advise anyone planning an event to look elsewhere--unless you want a venue that treats its customers with absolute disregard. read more

Out of the four wineries we visited on our wine tour, this one was hands down my favorite. It's very cutesy with tons of photo spots and a cute farmhouse vibe. I did the 3-glass wine tasting, which was very reasonably priced, and they also offer a 5-glass tasting option. The Caramel Apple and Peach Moscato were AMAZING. The outdoor patio area is beautiful , I can't wait to come back and enjoy the outdoor space more. Highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for a pretty winery to visit. read more

I wish I took pictures of the outdoor area and the other drinks, but it was fun and cozy! They had a tabletop fire pit that was really nice (you can see it in the background of the photo), and those propane freestanding patio heaters were a good touch to keep us warm. The hot chocolate toddy was very good; it tasted like normal hot chocolate to me. There was also some kind of wine spritzer or something with cranberries in it that was good! One of the staff members helped us set up the area we hung out in: they brought out more cushions for the chairs and changed the empty propane tank under the fire pit. We visited the vineyard based upon a friend's recommendation and we enjoyed our time there. We went on a Friday afternoon so it wasn't busy and we were the only people doing a tasting. The server was friendly and knowledgeable of the wines on the menu, helping us to pick our choices. The patio area is very comfortable with large umbrellas providing shade over the seating area. This tucked away vineyard was fun to explore. The building itself is fairly new (I believe it was built during Covid). They have seating inside and outside. The space is big enough to host large groups as well. They offered tastings, as well as wine by the glass or bottle. We did two tastings and then enjoy the patio view with a bottle of wine. It would be nice if this winery offered a discount on purchasing one of the wines after the tasting. Several wineries will either waive the tasting fee or discount the bottle when customers purchase more of their wine besides only a tasting. read more

This was my first time at this vineyard, it the tasting was a good way to figure out what they had to offer. Staff was very helpful and got to know your taste profiles before they offered the next wine. The place was relatively quiet while we were there and it was a nice place to sit and chat. read more

Service is slow-nonexistent. I went on a perfect Sunday afternoon with perfect weather and it looked as if maybe there were 2 people helping customers. They were not offering any tastings due to a "lack of capacity "? Not sure what that means exactly. So, everyone had to be their own waiter or waitress. Could've been an amazing time... but service wasn't great. Took about an hour to receive our food. The waitress didn't even believe that we actually order the flatbread. So that was fun to deal with. I ordered three glasses of wine over a three hour period. Somehow each glass I ordered kept getting smaller and smaller in the pour. I overlooked all these things. Bc I'm not one to complain but Then when we were paying at the front, a waitress at the bar knocked over a wine bottle and wine went on my dress and shoes and my friend's clothes and purse. They gave us spray to spray down all the spots but when just stood there frozen. They wouldn't help us in any other way. Mistakes happen but it's how you handle it that makes a difference in the crappy situation we found ourselves in. I'm not going back unfortunately. I came here with some close friends while we were visiting Kansas City. The vineyard is gorgeous and welcoming. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We also had 20 month old who they were more than welcoming to, and even gave him some breadsticks to munch on. There are some really delicious and unique wines. We each did 3 tasters for a total of 15 dollars, which is a great deal. We really enjoyed the Chardonnay and the Vignoles. read more

Aubrey Vineyards was such a lovely surprise for me on a day where I was feeling very low. My friend and I met out there and happened to get a table inside right before the live music just on the other side of the garage door was starting. We split a bottle and the bartender was very knowledgable and kind. The food truck outside was amazing the pretzels available inside where also really yummy! It is a very unassuming place as you drive up, but when you catch sight of the red barn, it's very beautiful. It's really small inside, which was not expected, but because we got a seat, it ended up being really great. Highly recommend and will go back! read more

Met some friends for a pre-Christmas tasting and we left with smiles all around. I booked online and once I got my reminder I realized I booked for two instead of six. We called them and they were so friendly. They changed the number of people and thanked us for letting them know. Our tasting specialist, Kerri was so knowledgeable. We each told her what we like and she brought us samples of what she thought we would enjoy. Each sample arrived with her extensive knowledge on the variety. Everyone was very happy with her choices. At the end we enjoyed a glass of each of our favorites and left with bottles for home. The vineyard is obviously dormant but still beautiful. The have grapes in barrels but do not allow patrons to tour that or the room where they harvest. They hope to one day. All food is served in packages due to COVID. You can build your own board but you will assemble yourself. I appreciated that and it allowed for our specialist to focus on the reason we were there, the wine. We enjoyed the lemon pepper almonds, delicious. They state on their site they are kid friendly and indeed they are. They have snacks and soda offerings as well as desserts. No outside beverages or food allowed. We just brought our little ones iPad and they kindly gave us their wi-fi password. Since they are a small shop they do run out of wines throughout the year. They only get their chardonnay grapes and cab grapes from CA, the rest are right there on sight. Rumor is the apple wine is amazing, it comes around June. The Apple wine was very good but the Vignoles was one of the better Vignoles I've had. They do have wine tastings and a good variety of snacks. Definitely be on our winery rotation. read more

Had fun but my friend and I couldn't have decided to try this place when it was in worse shape. The record store has moved so they're are remodeling the interior but the wine tasting/store is still operating. That part is enclosed and is very nice with a cozy feel to it. And despite the "I'm bored" attitude from the guy behind the counter, we had a great time trying new wines. To take advantage of the most beautiful scenic drive, go now! The mid-October drive is stunning. Colorful leaves, fields of green, and bright blue skies - all a feast for the eyes before turning into the entrance to the vineyard. The driveway is an aisle between full and lush vineyards surrounding you on either side. Having visited a number of wineries - the success of this grow is impressive. The drive opens on a small parking lot adjacent to a red, barn style structure with outdoor and indoor seating. The fire pits are a welcome site on a cool autumn afternoon. The staff were welcoming and friendly - offering suggestions in our tasting based on descriptions of preferred wines, flavors, and aromas. I enjoyed five options and added the Bourbon Barrel Norton as a sixth taste. For those who like a lighter sweeter white wine - the Traminette is perfection. My favorite red of the day was the Chambourcin 2021- a great middle of the road red. Drink it in. You're welcome. :) read more

Just got back from Aubrey Vineyards.. I stumbled upon Aubrey Vineyards on Yelp while we were in the Overland Park area. We drove up to a beautiful scenery of vines on both sides. This place is so nice! We arrived a little before 11:am. There's a cute red barn type building with lots of outdoor seatings. The seats inside and outside looked brand new and modern. It was esthetically appealing. Bathrooms were very clean. This place has a Napa Valley feel to it. We were greeted while walking up to the front entrance by the manager Mark. Let me tell you that the employees here are exceptional! They treated us so good! Mark walked us into the building while explaining to us the gist of things since it's our first time here. We decided to sit inside since we had our 9 year old with us. They were very kid friendly. We did the wine tasting. Pretty decent price for delicious wines! It didn't have a bad after taste at all. Our favorite was the Chamborcine semi-dry. After the tasting, we decided to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine and take another one to go. We did order some appetizers like crackers and cheese. Their cheese is from Green Dirt Farm located in Weston, MO, so that was a nice surprise! We visited Green Dirt Farm before, and love their cheeses. Very fair price for what you get. Like I said, the service is exceptional so tipping over the 20% and more for the service was a no brainer. The employees here treated us very well! Please be kind and patient. Okay came in here yesterday for a little surprise wine tasting pretty sure it was the best thing ever! Was greeted outside by the manager Mark which before going any further. Mark you have to be one of the best managers I've met to date he greeted us, sat us at our table which he gave us the option to sit outside or inside, and he also took time to serve our table also. We made a reservation for 5:00 using the Tock app. It was really a secluded well clean establishment inside and outside. Our time here was really amazing. Mark once again took the time during our sample testing we probably sample tested over 9 different wines on the menu. I not being much of a wine person until yesterday really loved the fact that Mark took his time to really explain and break down each and every wine he brought to the table. There was never a moment I sit at the table wondering what I was drinking he was so knowledgeable with the menu and very welcoming from the beginning to end process. I would certainly tell everyone this is a must try! Rather you come by yourself, a group of friends, or a date this is the place to come. Such a great place to spend the evening at. I wish I would've took more pictures to be able to give you guys a really good glimpse of the set up, but I'm glad I really just enjoyed the moment and got a chance to soak it all in. They also have a light bites menu a really good selection for you to snack on while enjoying the wine. We had the Garlic jerky which was actually a really good selection while trying out the wine. More than just a winery with great tasting wines- it's also an excellent vineyard patio experience with friends. Wines by the glass or bottle, along with snacks and live music a few nights per week. Have you ever been somewhere for the first time and wished you had found out about them sooner? This was my experience here. Corrine was informative and very curtious. There wine tastings are free and wowed us! There are a ton of different wines and we did not try a bad one. There vineyard is south op, but not open to the public YET. I brought home 2 bottles and it was hard to choose. Kudos to the wine maker...you know what you are doing! Sweet wines (I'm a dry drinker) were not super sweet, but my non-wine drinking husband enjoyed them as well. Did a wine tour with one of my girlfriends a few weeks ago and WOW! We had just been to two other wineries and this was our last stop. As you drive down the road through the vine rows you are greeted with just a simple barn and cute buildings. Nothing over stated, just peace and happiness! They have some outdoor seating (it was soo hot, we went inside) and a really cool, comfortable and approachable tasting room. The property (including the restrooms) were really maintained. The service was amazing and both my friend (who loves sweets) and I (who loves the tannins) found some great wines to taste an enjoy. For that hour or so that we were there, we could just escape the real life and just enjoy our company and good wine. I was a little disappointed in the presentation of packaged crackers and cheeses, however, the cheese was very good! I can understand from a spoilage and cost control why they did that, but would've love to just dive into an amazing charcuterie board, without all the packaging and such. I enjoyed the experience and wine so much, that not only did I buy bottles of wine, but also one of their bigger wine glasses. I LOVE drinking about of their logo glass and let my friends know all the time what a really cool place it is. I love Mark. I love Mark so much that when I worked with him in Napa Valley at one of the busiest wineries in the world, I wanted him to marry my daughter. When Mark is passionate about something, he will take it to the next level. He kept telling me about this "Aubrey Vineyards" in Kansas where he now lives with my daughter and grandson. So I flew out there to see for myself and was BLOWN AWAY! Not only did I feel like I was back home by what I saw at Aubrey Vineyards, but what I tasted. Now I've had a few good wines in my time on this planet, so I tend to be a little picky. Let's just say I bought some wine from Aubrey to bring back to California. In fact I had some last night. Mark did an AMAZING job of representing wines from Aubrey that he is extremely passionate about, and I now know why. You're not going to taste "just another cab" but wines that are top notch and unique! My time spent at Aubrey was not only relaxing, but it was educational. I learned about the wines, the history of Aubrey and why the owners decided to make it what it is today. I highly recommend visiting Aubrey Vineyards. The cool thing is this. If you know nothing about wine, just say so. You don't need to know anything to enjoy it, but if you do a tasting here and Mark P. is serving you, he will not only educate you based on your current level of wine knowledge, but he will make you laugh. On my continued quest for all things local KC I came across Aubrey Vineyards on Instagram. They were advertising a new wine "Ghost" just in time for Halloween. Lucky for me I was headed to downtown Overland Park where they have a tasting room located inside the Vinyl Renaissance Record Store, which is a pretty neat location. With covid, they have the tasting room locked and an attendant will let you in for tastings to ensure the space doesn't get overcrowded. I didn't end up staying to do a tasting, but the set-up looked very clean, they had hand sanitizer readily available, staff was wearing masks and they even had plexiglass up between you and the server. I did manage to snag a bottle of Ghost and it was top notch! A sweet wine without being overpowering, I am definitely hoping to go back and grab another bottle......or two. read more
