After moving to Colorado and leaving my stylist of 20+ yrs it's been a year long search to find someone new. I like my hair styled with long layers. Today, I had a fantastic experience because she got it right!!! Now I can recognise myself in the mirror again!! Prisila is so nice and we had things in common when we were chatting. Now I feel like I found a new friend! This was my first trip to Standz and it is now the only place I'll be heading to in the future! I'm a male, who just wanted a few highlights in my bangs, and a trim, which was $35. We didn't discuss the cost for bang highlights, but if I had gotten half my head done, it should still have cost only $105. During the process, she put half the foils I asked for, and ignored me when I said it wasn't enough, saying 'it would be fine.' I asked her to please give me platinum highlights, and when she pulled out the foils, my hair was orange, which she said would be fine, because she was going to tone it (which I didn't want, I wanted platinum hair, as I asked for). She finally finished the cut, after hacking away at my hair. -Not like a razor cut, which is evenly uneven, but from short, to long, back to short again, in a hideous, rat's nest of a cut, which had no shape to it. By the time my hair was dry, I saw it had been dyed to an orangish brown, and was an uneven color along the hair strands. I went in for a cut somewhere else, and didn't even say anything, but my new stylist immediately asked who destroyed my hair. She seemed to think I had cut it myself.. With the tip, I paid Priscilla over $200!! For the highlights in my bangs, and a men's haircut ($180 for the services). She said she would redo it, if I wanted, but it would be during some other appointment time, which I did not want to have to go back for. I was also not going to let her touch my hair again, and needed to get a decent cut somewhere else, in time for a memorial service. I used to do hair for a living, so, I'm very aware of when I've gotten a hatchet job, by a bad hairstylist. I would not recommend Priscilla to my worst enemy. If you want a hairdresser who listens, addresses your concerns, and gives you an even haircut, do not see Priscilla. I am very angry and disgusted, at the hideous hairdo, and the $200 I was overcharged for, and will never get back- I have seldom been quite this disregarded during a procedure, and I don't think I've ever had a cut that was this raggedy. I looked like I had mange.

(There is an elevator from the ground floor, so that's no problem.) Fixtures are comfortable and stylish. Parking is ample but shared with many other businesses, so it's likely one will need to walk a bit. There are only 3 disabled spaces for 3-4 businesses, so that will be a concern for me. I was unpleasantly surprised that my stylist had raised her prices. And I was shocked that I was charged tax on my visit--I've never seen tax on such a service. Or was it a credit card fee? I enjoy researching and since my 10 year plus stylist moved out of town, I researched my heart out to find a new one. My first choice was a fail. Actually, Grey Salon Studio was my first choice but the other salon I tried first was recommended, so I gave it a shot. Cut was fine but color was dark on top and light on bottom. Kind of like an ombre but without the fade. By the time I got in to see Veronica at Grey Salon Studio, my color had lightened a bit but still wasn't right. Veronica fixed it, easily and beautifully. And gave me a terrific cut with much needed body and a more current style. BTW, I am horrible at styling my hair. Since Veronica couldn't blow dry and style me (Covid-19 precautions), I went home and did it myself. I was surprised how easy and great looking it came out! Testament to her skills.
