Our work group from each all out of town went here in the evening that we each gathered in Knoxville, TN. This place was close to where we were staying so it was each to hop in there soon. It was pretty packed with people but we had a place to sit in the bar area. There were five of us and as four of us had our food delivered one was told his would be a little bit longer. Then a few bit later they came and told him that the had none of that left in the kitchen that he had ordered. So then he placed a simple order to match my own and he still did have to wait a bit more longer while the rest of us were basically finished eating our stuff already. The food we had was decent and nothing yucky. Yet we didn't have any amazing delicious tastes at all. Our own waitress was very nice and served well to us. This place is not terrible but also it was not amazing either. It's just good.

Hubs and I stopped in here for dinner after being in the car all day and it was SO much better than a meal at a fast food restaurant! My meal was both healthy AND delicious, with friendly and efficient service. The ambiance was MUCH better than a fast food place, and I'm glad we made the decision to eat here. Overall, it seemed worth the amount paid.

We had our dog with us so we sat on the patio where there was plenty of shaded tables. There were 3 of us and we split 2 salads and we also split the Rockefeller Pizza. It was just enough but more importantly it was DELICIOUS!!! We will definitely order this again. Our server was not the friendliest and as my husband was trying to order To Go drinks she just zipped off to help some other couples. It was a little off-putting.

I decided to eat here last night because well it was practically in the parking lot of my hotel. The ambience of the place is not unlike a nice steakhouse, or other high-end casual dining. Think sort of like a Maggianos without all of that Italian stuff. I started out with the Rockefeller pizza or something like that. It was a good little pizza on a thin crust like a flatbread, but not as doughy it was very nice. I then followed up with the rattlesnake pasta, sort of a linguine dish with a bunch of different stuff thrown in, I'm not even sure why they called it rattlesnake. But it was good. Everything had a lot of flavor and the service was excellent. A nice young man named Peyton was my server. He was very personable and made good suggestions. I then had a large piece of cheesecake for dessert. This was very good. The whole meal was 50 bucks, a little bit on the high side, but that's OK. I did not have any alcohol with the meal I had Diet Coke.

The service was quick and "Johnny on the spot." It was recommended by a couple of the folks with me that the Hawaiian ribeye ($30)was a favorite, so that was me, medium rare. My selected side was roasted mushrooms. The steak was precisely cooked, and tender for the entire steak. No complaints at all. The pineapple slices on top of the meat was unusual and did not seem to add to the flavor. As I enjoy pineapple, it did not go to waste. One of us had the "pizza rock" ($12) which was like a large flatbread with tomato sauce and cheese on it like a regular pizza, added with some sliced hot peppers which unfortunately overpowered the good taste. Take off the peppers (as I did on a slice) and I would order it. Not on the menu, but ordered (by a former employee with us) as an off-menu item was a kale salad. ($5 for an ordered side salad, plus $4 for kale). Some of you may be like me and think that kale is bitter but trust me this special salad did not taste bitter at all and was tender and not bitter or a harsh texture. Surprise! I would order it, based upon my one sample bite. All in all, I highly recommend this place for its comfortable (but large) dining area ambience, the great service and, oh yes, the great food. Four people for $147.49, which included $36 in wine and beer.

Great service and food with a huge beer selection. We had a large group of 12 and they were able to quickly accommodate us and the wait times were not long. I would highly recommend coming here.

Stopped here to eat on a road trip. Busy Friday night so we waited about 15 min. The bar area was very nice, closed off in glass from the rest of the restaurant. Nice bathrooms. Had a very nice table with great service from Colton. Kids meals had good prices. Son really liked his chicken fingers. Daughter had m&c and loved the fries. I had the grilled chicken sandwich (juicy and excellent) and cinnamon apples (meh). Husband had chicken fried chicken, said it was fine. He appreciated the local Knoxville beer selection. And we all loved the bread, didn't have dessert. Good ambiance, would definitely return!

Just landed in TN came straight from the airport needing a bite to eat. Food was really good! The atmosphere inside was lacking a bit, felt like a Chili's. Really comfortable, kid friendly! Not a place you'd dress up to go to. If you're tired after a long day, walk in and grab some dinner! Service was good! Our waitress was sweet and quick to refill drinks!

SmashCity wasn't far off of the interstate, it had good ratings and although we'd been eating burgers and fries quite a bit on this roadtrip, a good burger and fries really sounded good. All of the reviews were right on - this was absolutely NOT fast food - it was fast, really fast, but the speed was just bonus. As we usually do, we split. We chose the Carolina BBQ smash. The burgers were juicy - if you're not careful, I guarantee you'll be wearing it. Two critiques, it definitely needed more sauce - I just added some of the SmashCity sauce from our fries and it worked but I really would have liked to have had more BBQ sauce. Second, the fried onions were quite burned. I pulled off most of them. The hand cut fries were piping hot, just the right amount of greasy and seasoned perfectly. Splitting the burger was a good call - I'd never have eaten the whole thing myself. The burger and fries were just over $20. When you consider a Big Mac meal at that clown place is $14, SmashCity is almost a bargain. Paul, the owner was like the energizer bunny - he was everywhere at once. Personality oozed from his pores. Make sure you tell him Sue said hi! (He won't remember me but just say hi anyway!) Now I wouldn't say SmashCity has the best burgers - that award goes to our friend Jerry. He makes a pretty mean smash burger on the blackstone. If you have an extra half hour, skip the fast food burger joints, get off that highway, and go let Paul fill your belly for the rest of your trip! You'll appreciate it!

They get busy fast, and they won't seat your party until everyone has arrived, so make sure your whole group is there. We had a party of five and started with an order of the fried pickles to share. They were absolutely delicious--crispy, flavorful, and gone within minutes. For drinks, I ordered the Darryl Strawberry since it featured bourbon, and I figured I had to enjoy a bourbon cocktail while in Tennessee. It was surprisingly refreshing, balanced, and so good that I ordered a second one. For my meal, I went with the Classic Bacon Burger, and it was exactly what I was hoping for. It was big, juicy, and loaded with the perfect amount of cheese, tomato, bacon, and pickles. Every bite was delicious. Considering how packed the restaurant was, the service was solid. Our waitress had a great sense of humor and joked around with our table, which made the experience even more fun. Since they were so busy, we didn't see her constantly, but she was friendly and took good care of us whenever she stopped by.
