I think they were training, so I'll try not be too critical of the gal taking my order. My partner and I each ordered a combo special to eat in. I also ordered a Caesar salad TO GO. When the cashier rang up the order the total $ seemed high. At the table we looked over the receipt and it differed from what was posted. She didn't charge for the right combo maybe? Maybe we weren't clear ordering? It was just a few bucks so we let it go. The meal came quickly. We ate and left with my salad in the bag it was delivered to me in. The next day I opened the salad and much to my disappointment, they had DRESSED the TO GO salad. It was soggy and inedible. $10 salad wasted. Based upon my experience at this particular McAllisters, I don't recommend. Being overcharged sucked, but the double whammy was the salad that I ended up throwing away. read more

Stopped into McAlister's Deli for a quick lunch with my kids, and it was such a good choice. I ordered the Pick Two with the BLTA and a baked potato, and both were so delicious -- super fresh and really filling. The kids loved their meals too, which always makes eating out so much easier. They have promos listed all over their windows and menu, but there are so few items that can actually work with those promos. Example: Choose 2 promo includes 1/2 entree and 1/2 side for $8. When I ordered my 1/2 BLTA and 1/2 soup and a drink, it was over $15. I stopped the cashier and asked why so high. Soup isn't a side (it is on their menu - but it's excluded). When I switched to the Mac and Cheese, it went down to $12. The BLTA is a premium sandwich, so upcharge. My advice to McAllisters: don't feature a promo that people can't get without clearly stating what's excluded. As is, I will likely not be returning. read more

Service was not great people were rude and short, ordered plain ham and cheese sandwich cold and came just a cheese sandwich toasted, ordered another entree that never came, when we went and told them the sandwich had no ham they said if I wanted one I would have to pay again. The only thing I have good to say about this place is the sweet tea otherwise I would never be back here. read more

Ordered about 10 lunchboxes for work and was a bit displeased with the lack of attention to detail. One, I ordered a brookie for myself which was an extra cost and that was nowhere to be found. Another ordered a tomato cucumber salad as the side, but we received all chips instead. Also ordered 10 assorted sodas and was given 10 regular cokes. Had the chicken salad on the croissant which was okay except the croissant was extremely sweet. Was expecting it to be buttery and savory. Three years ago I probably would have left a four star review. Food and service is still all the same, but the prices for the food have become unreasonable. For a family of FOUR, I spend 60 bucks for salads, half a sandwich, Mac n cheese, and drinks. To recap: slice of bread, bacon, vegetables, lettuce, few ounces of honey mustard, tea, and Mac'n Cheese equals 60 dollars. Again, the food is fine, but I can go to Cracker Barrel or Texas Roadhouse for a fraction of the price. My kids do love your establishment, so I will be forced back. I just need to ask for a raise or advancement first. read more

Just went to pick up McAllister's to go. When we got there, we ordered and ordered a chicken salad croissant sandwich and a cuban sandwich with a baked potato. However, when we got home, we realize that we received a totally different sandwich and not the chicken salad croissant sandwich. I have dietary restrictions and can only eat certain foods so you can imagine my disappointment seeing the sandwich I received was not one in which I can eat. My boyfriend said his food was good. So end of story, McAllisters has good food however check your bag before going home. read more

This is easily one of the worst McAlister's experience I've ever had in Knoxville. The cleanliness was very unacceptable, the floors were absolutely disgusting, plates looked almost clean, drink station was absolutely nasty, and the bathroom was truly vial. Just in the 25 to 30 minutes it took me to eat, I noticed the employees preferred to take their shift as a reason to hang out and have fun rather than keep up with restaurant duties. The majority of the employees looked very half put together and did not care about their appearance whatsoever which was very off putting as they brought my food to the table. Will not be returning to this location anytime soon. read more

The food was very good. The service was terrible. My son is very allergic to milk, when I walked up to the counter I asked them if their auntie Ann's pretzel thing could come with just the hot dogs, the cashier asked who I assumed and was later confirmed was the manager. She was very rude and said no they come together. I then asked if they had milk in it and she rudely said "I don't know" and walked away to check the box. She then said they did not, so I ordered them. When they got to the table I could tell that they had butter on them and that there was a cookie on his plate (chocolate chip) which very much has milk it. We then looked at the auntie Ann's website where they said that it had milk in it. I went to the front counter and asked for a replacement of an uncrustable just to be safe, the cashier told me he'd have the manager come talk to me. He gave me the replacement and the manager came out a few minutes later with a picture of the box that said it didn't have milk in it. I said i understood and asked if the butter they put on it had milk, she said "I don't know about the butter" I then explained to her I was just trying to protect my son she said she understood. I could then hear her go and talk badly about me and the situation to the other employees which is not only disrespectful but also unprofessional. The food was amazing but the lack of accommodation and the complete unprofessional staff ruined the entire experience. read more

Huge shout out to Jimmy this afternoon for his "beyond the call of duty" excellent customer service!!! I stopped in on my way to Norfolk VA to get my daughter her favorite thing in the world....a Savannah Chopped Salad! She's a hard working Navy wife who's having to move to yet ANOTHER state without a McAlisters. Booooo. Anyhow, Jimmy made sure to put the order in just as I requested and found a way for me to order extra sherry shallot dressing so she can miss her McAlisters a little less by making her own at home. Jimmy was friendly, helpful and a pure joy to speak with. He even smiled through the rude kitchen help fussing at him about having to spoon the dressing into a few containers for me. She told him to "never do that again". I hope Jimmy doesn't listen to her because he made my day and subsequently will make my daughters day when she sees her surprise!!! Being a military spouse is one of the hardest support jobs ever and doing it with a full time regional support position for a national bank makes it triple hard. Online delivery order was "picked up" & "out for delivery " for an hour before we got notification that they cancelled it. Called the restaurant. They apologized and said the food was ready and we could come pick it up. I asked the person to please verify the food was FRESH and hadn't been sitting out for an hour. They confirmed it was fresh so we drove to the restaurant. It was not fresh. That is my main complaint. Don't lie and say it's fresh when it is not. The people were kind and they refunded my money. But the lie that made us come all the way to the restaurant for 1 hour old food was unacceptable. read more

I have always loved McAlisters, but I have to commend this specific location because I've noticed in the recent past they were packed but not enough workers. They handled everything so smoothly and with grace still. Have always loved McAlister's. Stopped going to McAlister's Parkside Dr in Knoxville for 6 months because I would order a full spud and get a half spud that was brown and looked like it had been sitting for 2 days. This was on take out orders. Decided to give them another chance this past Wednesday. Once again, I ordered a full spud and got a half spud that was brown, hard and inedible. If you can't serve the size ordered and serve fresh food, you no longer have my business. Too bad, because it is convenient to us and we ordered at least once a week. Traveling thru TN, we stopped in Knoxville and ordered take out from McAlisters. We ordered ahead and picked it up and found the inside super clean and well organized. Since we had our dog with us we also ordered some grilled chicken for her with nothing on it. We found all the prices very reasonable. Our order arrived on time: strawberry lemonade, blueberry iced tea, nachos, Italian mix and chipotle chicken sandwich with tossed salad and fruit cup sides. Well we didn't need the nachos and barely touched them. The sandwiches were plenty big enough and delicious! The bread and roll were fresh and everything exceeded our expectations. The salad was crisp and fruit cup was a little small but still good! Love this place and will look for others in our travels. Highly recommend. read more

We are new to Tennessee, so we are trying lots of new restaurants. Today we tried McAlisters on Parkside. I ordered the King Club and my husband ordered the Memphian. I asked him what he liked about his sandwich. He paused, and with such satisfaction in his voice, said "everything." All the flavors blended so well together and the sandwich left him completely satisfied! My King Club was built for royalty! The sandwich was overloaded with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and honey mustard. I skipped the mayo. I can't stand anything with mayo. They got my order right! I appreciated that, as quite often, the request is ignored. The bread was toasted without being crunchy. Both sandwiches were nothing short of fantastic! When we head to Costco, we'll make a visit to this McAlister's location. It really was delicious! Oh, and by the way, my King Club was enough for my lunch and dinner! read more

It's clear their club sandwich is shrinking first of all. Second they ask you if you want pickle on the side and always leave that out. the tomato and cucumber salad had literally one tiny sliver of cucumber and no onion--absolute waste of money and a quality control issue. The cup of potato soup for over $4 is tiny. This place keeps going up in price while quality and portions shrink. I am done, avoid at all costs. read more

Ordered through GrubHub, easy service. Downfall came from the pickup window. 20min gap, which is understandable, however order said it was ready to pick up. Upon arrival it was not ready, forcing me to wait another 20min for this. Several orders were fuedilled for dine in customer while I, a paying customer, got pushed back. On top of having to wait an additional 20min customer service was non existent. No sorry for the wait, it'll be right out, have a nice day, just an utterly horrible experience. Restaurant was extremely dirty the entire time we were there for dinner. My husband counted over a dozen tables that needed to be cleaned. Floors were filthy. I go here very often because I work right near it. Sometimes I dine in and sometimes I order from the app so I can grab and go. The staff is always super friendly and kind. When I dine in the food always comes very quickly and when they bring you your food they ask if you need anything else which I always find nice. When I order from the app my order is always hot and ready to go. Although it can be a little pricy I feel it's worth it. The portions are great and there is a large variety of options! I often recommended McAlisters to customers when they ask for suggestions as to where they should eat lunch/dinner. 5/5 recommend! read more
