I am VERY dissatisfied with GM as a whole company, I would never own or recommend a GM to anyone. (Which is horrible, because i have owned 3 in the past.) GM has zero customer service and honestly can care less about their vehicles being a lemon. July 2024 I put a work order in for a brand new z71 traverse, was told it will take 3 weeks..... didn't get my SUV till end of Oct 2024... frustrating, but okay not a big deal. Put down $19k with my trade in and cash. Fast forward to May 24th, 2024 with a whopping 3,500 miles my engine completely blew! No warning nothing, my whole vehicle locked up, shut off and my steering wheel was completely locked up. Scary when you are going 40 around a corner and everything locks up and you have NO CONTROL over your brand new car. Got a tow to Chevy of Auburn and about 1 week later was told "we don't have a date of when it will be finished- couple weeks or a couple of months." When I am making a $640 car note each month, plus having uber bills to get to and from work each day I just simply could not afford both. Little to no communication with the managers at Chevy, the only person that seems to care and contact me was McKenna with service.. she was nice. Fast forward to mid-July, I went in talked with Dan and he offered me a buy back of $43,000. Which to me is a low ball offer, but I needed out of the vehicle to get into someone else reliable to get me to and from my jobs. Called corporate GM several time, they didn't care their vehicle was crap. Chevy of Auburn then turned around and sold my old vehicle for $50,800! What an absolute scam they are! I tried to speak the general manager (Ryan I believe?) and he pushed the call off to Zach. Who then gave me some lame excuses about "why they needed to price it like that- they have to get it certified, blah blah blah- Candi the sale lady didn't not make more money on this sale" total crap. GM and Chevy of Auburn- would not recommend ever! Stay far far away from this place, they don't care about you, they only care about your money. I guess the saying is true, car sales people are scumbags. After all this Candi (sales lady) literally told me "this is why you don't buy a brand new model" why didn't you tell me that prior? We decided to take our Chevy 2500 and 40 foot travel trailer on a road trip down the Oregon Coast for our honeymoon. As we began the first day of our trek, we experienced a semi serious transmission issue which could have potentially been ended our trip. However, with the help of Matt Carreno (service director) and Tony (transmission mechanic) they were able to expedite the parts and got us on the road the next day. Purchased a new Silverado in 2021 in MN. I have been searching for a reputable Chevrolet dealer in Auburn WA for servicing my new truck. There have been many days when I would call the dealership for maintenance, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and unusual warranty concerns. I have had no answers, and the phone would just ring and ring with no voice-mail options. I was surprised since these calls were made during business hours. When my husband and I do reach someone, they can't find our information even though we have had our truck serviced twice since being in Auburn. We never had these issues in MN. In MN, the dealer service department typically can pull our truck and personal information immediately by looking up our phone number. Our 2021 truck has been rattling when it idles. We were told this is normal? We have discovered that this is actually a common complaint among the new 2021 Silverado owners. Chevrolet pick-up reliability has decreased significantly in the last 5 years due to engine and electrical issues related to computer chips in the trucks. We are going to try to keep looking for a better Chevrolet dealership. This is not acceptable for a new truck. read more

If I believed someone actually wins one of these things or was addicted to gambling I'd be all over this. I'm a little concerned that because we bought a new car last year we've been put on a mailing list as potential customers. There's no logic in there. And I don't want to buy goods for thousands of dollars for someone unable to see where this is bad marketing. What I'm also curious about, is the cheap plastic thing in the 2nd picture. Auburn Chevrolet has a systemic sales ethics problem. They see single women and elderly widows and prey on them. I know of three women, one of whom was my eighty year old mother, who came in for a free raffle after receiving a magical key in the mail. The caption said something about it possibly belonging to a free car! All three brought in the key, which surprisingly didn't fit. Auburn Chevrolet then sold all three of them used cars that cost much more than a brand new quality economy car. My 80 year old mother was pressured to buy without consulting her Boeing engineer son or anyone else in her family. All three women regretted their purchase. Regarding my mom, the most frustrating thing about the car she was pressured to purchase was it's lack of security and mobility features. This 2013 Kia has manual windows and door locks. The rear doors can only be opened from the inside. Very scary if she was experiencing an emergency situation. Shame on you Auburn Chevrolet. Buyers beware! read more

The men at Auburn Chevrolet made my first car buying experience (back in 2016) the worst possible. They are the quintessential example of shady car salesmen and it was awful working with them. If it weren't for my dream car being a very particular model and color, I would've run to shop elsewhere. One of their managers (Doug) even condescendingly said to me during the customary price negotiation process when we asked them to honor their lowest price quoted to us just days earlier, 'if you can't afford the car, there's nothing we can do about that.' So instead of honoring the price they gave us, they insult us and insinuate I can't afford a $5k car. It was incredibly rude but my mother and I could only smirk at the ridiculousness of a sleezy used car salesman worrying about our finances instead of his own. I mean you sale used cars for a living, sir. Humble yourself! Altogether terrible salesmen and even worse humans. Buyer beware, DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR FROM THESE SHADY DEALERS! Below is an email I wrote in response to their request for me to fill out a customer service survey days after buying my car: Faiz, I am unable to mark "completely satisfied" on your survey for the following reasons: 1. Our very first contact was of you telling me incorrectly that the car that I eventually bought, had already been sold. I even emailed you and called you to verify that it was sold and you said that it was. Either you are grossly incompetent at your job or you and your team are very shady in your business dealings. Either way, it is unacceptable behavior from a legitimate dealership. 2. You sold me my car, MY VERY FIRST CAR, on a completely empty gas tank. So you helped me to celebrate my very first car purchase by sending me away running on fumes. That is NOT the way to treat a customer. 3. You sold me the car with an extreme wheel alignment problem. It is a repair easily done at your onsite service department but instead you sold it to me out of alignment. Which means I drove off your lot in an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS vehicle. Any sharp turn I make, the car swerves and skids out of control. Again, this is NOT how you treat a customer. This is an incredibly dangerous move you and your team pulled. 4. You did not honor the price one of your associates (Victor) quoted to me. Even Ivan quoted me a better price than you gave me in the end. This is very dishonorable. 5. Price negotiation does not have to be painful or tense but it was with your team. After a very uncomfortable price negotiation process, you did not finalize the deal with us. You tended to someone else and did not even give us a parting goodbye or communicate at all. I do not appreciate that in a salesman. 6. In fact, your communication skills were horrid in general, Faiz. You made decisions about the car I was buying without consulting me and shoved papers at me with no honest explanation of what they'd be used for. My husband and I had the worst 12 hours possible leading up to going to the dealership. Both our cars got totaled, one in an accident that was, to be honest, a bit traumatic. We were VERY stressed and exhausted. We walked in and Brian and Brent were absolutely amazing!! They both went way above and beyond showing us compression and understanding. They listened to what we needed and our situation and made everything possible. Unimpressive in every way. Loads of sales people milling about like hungry fish waiting for feeding time. Waiting room is, well, a room that you wait in. No coffee when I was there, no snacks either. Service department seems dodgy. They only had one headlight bulb in stock; for a Chevy van of all vehicles. Nothing crazy or exotic, not a Corvette or a Corvair... just a van that they made millions upon millions of. I would never buy anything here, vehicles included (not that I would ever buy a new GM product). Seems like you could loose your hat here in financing pretty quick. Comically bad service. Where do I start? ordered a cold air intake, exhaust system, and new exhaust tips. Went through Chevy online to maintain my warranty. I won't go into the peripheral problems regarding lack of loaner vehicles, inability to find proof of online payment, etc. Paid over $2k for all of this, only to return home to see that the exhaust system was installed completely offset. One tip comes out towards the center of the truck. The other tip comes out on the right side. It's quite clear that customer service and workmanship are not a priority here. I called as soon as I got home. Was told to call back Monday as they couldn't schedule a time to come back in. I asked Mike in service who the GM of Auburn Chevy and like most of his responses today it was, "I don't actually know, I've only been here for 2 weeks". A simple google search tells me it's Eric who is the GM (will leave the last name off out of respect). I cannot wait to speak to Eric at 8am on Monday. Avoid this place like the plague. I will update or add another review once this issue is resolved. I am Chevy through and through, and this experience is really embarrassing to the brand. read more

A "Low battery" light came on my Chevy. I called Auburn to schedule an appointment for installing a new battery; the wait was two weeks, so I purchased a new battery at Les Schwab. The "low battery" warning light still on, I went online and scheduled the low battery and an oil change for April 21st. During that service, I was told that the tech was not in today so they could not do the battery - they changed the oil, or at least charged me for it. Being a little slow, I went online again and rescheduled the low battery issue for May 21st. When I checked in I was told that the tech was, again, not in and that I should have called, rather than scheduling online to ensure that the tech felt like working that day. My online schedule had an eleven day lead time. No apologies from Auburn, just blame the customer for using their online scheduling system. Unbelievable, unprofessional business. read more

I was able to take a look in the windows of a few vehicles before being approached by a salesman. Had a most unpleasant experience at this dealership. Wasted two hours trying to get a Kelly Blue Book (KBB) offer (after they responded to my post on the KBB site). Was given a verbal "fair market value" on the phone and arranged to visit for a final appraisal. Two hours later, no offer. Was told that I would receive an offer from KBB in 24 hours. No offer forthcoming. After two calls, I was told that the car was worth $500 (previous verbal offer was $3122). Two days later, a competitor purchased the auto for $2750. Well, well...this is such a sad place.. I had a 3:15pm oil change, and a recall on my 2020 truck. Scheduled an appointment no problem. Got to my appointment at 3:05(ish) never been there before so I parked, went inside a very empty dealership. No one greeted me or even acknowledged I was there. Found the service counter on my own, as I was approaching the counter, there were a gentleman and a lady, both sitting there. As I entered the department, they were just staring at me, seemed to be like I was ruining their day. Didn't even ask if they could help me. As I told them I had an appointment I was told to go get my vehicle and drive it into the garage.. ok no problem. Got it in the garage, parked and again very stand offish the guy told me that he needed more info, and then to go have a seat in the waiting room, gave him my info and went to go find the "waiting" room, again never have been there, nobody told me where to go. Whew, found the waiting room... this is where it gets even better... No customers (other than myself) in the entire building, and nobody "shopping" a lady (secretary or sales) asked her co worker if the guy signed the paperwork, her co worker responded "no, he wanted to review them at home " the First Lady responded back saying "what an asshole... nobody ever reads all of the paperwork "...wow really, this is how we talk about others... Then there were a few guys (sales or management) walked past me, glaring at me in disgust..(that's how I personally took it) Again no acknowledgement from anybody at all, not even a simple hello... An hour later, truck done... the service guy comes over gives me a price of paper and tells me that my truck is finished, go out that door and truck will be off to the right... no thank you, no have a good day...not even a f- you... well, I will not be going back to this place at all.. should have read the reviews first... on the plus side though.. Greed. Greed. Greed. I moved here in February and took my 2009 Silverado to them and got $4500 worth of work done. They up sell you on everything and I left wondering if I made the right choice - but I thought better than a car payment right? Silverado had 114k miles on it at the time and it currently has 120k. Since then a low oil pressure light came on and said stop engine. Took it back to them and they told me it was an oil pressure sensor and would be $552.50 plus tax. I told them to make the repair - still better than a car payment. I asked if they had any coupons and when the girl called me back to say it was ready she said she found a $30 coupon. I said great what the cost now and she gave me a price higher than she previously gave me. I asked how can that be if you took $30 off? Oh she said, there's a $35 shop supplies fee.... huh??? That was not in the price you gave me? She ended up taking it off after I questioned her. I went down there immediately because I didn't want them to do anything bad to the vehicle after the conversation and they were washing it. I asked them to take it out so I could get home and battle traffic. They did and offered a few free washes at which point I told them I wouldn't be coming back. The lady says, "I'm sorry to hear that." Nothing else.... no "why, maybe we can make this right" or "what can we do to keep you?" I paid the bill and left. After spending $5000 in repairs this year at this location they could not keep me as their customer. I will NEVER go back here and will look to take my business elsewhere in the future. I took my 2015 Serria Denali into the body shop after having an accident. My thought was take it to a dealer I should get the best results. My mistake the workmanship was ok but the color match was terrible. I return the truck to Jose how seem frustrated that I came back. I was told they would check the color with the computer. I received an e-mail from Jose saying the the color came back a match but that they would try a lighter tone. They had my truck for three weeks I don't think they painted it again only detailed it. Now I have to make time to go to another shop. If I find its not a match not sure what my recourse will be. I will never do busniess with Auburn Chevy again. read more

I am extremely furious! I spent an entire afternoon at this dealership in good spirits and it was all spoiled in the last 5 minutes by a sales punk named Andrew Bothell. That boy needs to be FIRED!!! I was initially approached by Rowland. An older laid back gentleman that was very accommodating - great guy. We went on several test drives and I really enjoyed the manual transmission models. Rowland was new, so he occasionally asked Andrew for which options were available for the LT1/2 LTZ types. I noticed right away that Andrew was short and seemed agitated to the both of us. It was borderline offensive. Andrew was visibly annoyed by having to locate car keys and perform inventory searches to find comparable models. The demo car they expected me to like had many interior key scratches, and I didn't want a dirty scratched up demo car. So I kept looking at others. Meanwhile, I told Rowland that I was undecided but I would still go ahead with a trade-in appraisal. When it came time to appraise my trade, Andrew asked me what my payoff balance was. My payoff has no bearing on quoting me a trade in value. Let ME worry about that. I said, above $20k but below $30k. Andrew didn't appreciate that much and went to go look at my trade. Meanwhile Rowland is trying to input my information into "vinsolutions", but ran into a snag. Andrew comes back ridiculing me for not giving him my payoff amount. Just being a big drama queen about how this was impacting the ability to make a sale but he still managed to quote a lowball offer. I said that won't work for me. He gets all huffy and runs back to the manager. Rowland is chit chatting with me when Andrew returns and tries to school me on tax credits equal to the sale price and that "allows" me a good deal because it's essentially a free ride on taxes. I said yes, but that is something I already paid for. At this point, Andrew was taking over negotiations. Once more he comes back and tells me that he will give me a CRUZE for $21k after $1500 rebate, and low trade for my car. I wanted to make sure I was clear on the verbal offer because that price seemed awfully low for a new LT2 model and we were only working on blank piece of paper. so I clarified "This is for the LT2 that would have to be shipped here?" He said "no, I thought we were talking about the demo car". I said "no, that car didn't appeal to me". This time he steps back and offers me $2k extra for my car and $23,5k for the CRUZE that needed to be shipped in. I thought this was more in the ballpark, but the offer was nothing concrete. We were working on a piece of paper - no VINs involved, etc to help keep the negotiations clear. He was agitated and unprofessional on his 4th return. I had several other clarifying questions about GM memorial day rebate offers that might be in lieu of APR promotions. Again, Andrew couldn't provide concrete rebate specifics to how it applied to the deal. I was looking at combined APR offers. I have personal rules to NEVER sign contracts same day. I wanted to go home and think about the new offer on A.) car that I cannot see B.) whether or not the deal warrants me looking into talking to my bank first. *MELTDOWN* He was pushy to commit to submitting a credit pull without confirming VIN reservation. I don't pull credit FIRST without price in formal writing based, not generalized promises and scratch estimates. I'm considering filing WA state AG complaint for this little stunt. I later find out from WA state business records Andrew is related to the dealership board chairman, which explains why nepotism allows Andrew to feel superior to act this way to a potential customer. FIRE ANDREW BOTHELL!! If your staff can't handle the stress of letting a customer decide and make informed credit decisions he has no business being on the floor of your dealership!
