Outstanding Customer Service at the best price in town. My water heater stopped working this weekend. I called a few companies, who quoted me prices for a new one. I called Auburn Plumbing on a Saturday night. Owner Dave Scholl not only gave me a lower price, he walked me through some troubleshooting, step by step, in addition to walking me through turning off the gas, water and depressurizing the tank. Then stated he would come out 8 AM Monday morning no charge to give me his opinion on what needed to be done so I had a gauge when the other company came later. He got snowed in Monday morning, but his workers got here right on time, it was a simple supply line fix. Inexpensive and they were so professional and fast. After reading reviews we were confident in having Dave come out. But, in short, he underestimated the job and was missing essential tools. We paid him and was left with work unfinished. We needed him to repair 2 leaky drains, detach a broken copper pipe, and install the shower handheld. All of this we communicated over the phone before he came over. 2 trips and $300 later the only thing that was completed was the copper pipe removal. We had to have him come out again because drains were still leaking. Initially he told us not to buy new drains and he would try to remedy w new washers because it would be $80+ per drain to replace and he wanted to save us the expense. After 2 attempts he blamed the drains and then refused to finish the job until we purchased something different. We have looked everywhere and not been able to find anything to match, so we haven't expected him to help us with the drains any further. He gave us a verbal agreement that he would still install the handheld. But when I called today to follow up w that he said he refuses to "finish a job he didn't start". So, his decision changed...? We totally understand a plumber not wanting to "clean up" a plumbing disaster but he should have said that from the start. I said the only thing we feel like he did was take the copper pipe out and it cost us $300 and he said "I spent over 4 hours". He was actually only in our house 1 1/2-2 hours total. If he had thought to use the right tool the first visit, it would have saved him A LOT of time. The second visit he spent a long time looking for said tool and couldn't find it so he had to drive to the hardware store and come back. We're not sure why we are responsible for all that time? He also spent quite a bit of time telling us about all his jobs and how busy he is. We don't share this this to come across as condescending, but if time is his justification for the price...all that unorganized time cost us, not him. Maybe this was just a very unorthodox service call for him, but we are very disappointed and as a result will not be using his services again. read more

Dave and his guys have helped me several times now with rental properties when plumbing issues crop up. Most recently they unclogged a basement drain that seemed to defy logic. After removing tennis balls, t-posts, and all kinds of other detrius, they finally got it cleared. I applaud their tenacity, great communication, and problem solving. Absolutely perfect service. I called at 9am about a non-functioning sewer pump - after checking their schedule they said Dave would be here between 2 and 3pm. Discovered we had a sewer blockage 5 minutes before leaving for work at 7 am. Found via Yelp and called Dave. He worked me into the schedule and had Luis and Zak at the house by 11 as promised. They found redwood tree roots in the line, cleaned them out, and marked the path of the line in the backyard. Prior owners planted a redwood tree, which is now about 30 feet tall within 1-2 feet from the line. Now a simple reroute should take care of the persistent problem. Thanks ABC! read more

These guys are great! After my main line clogged again less than 3 wks after Roto Rooter worked on it, Dave fit me into a tight schedule the next day and Jamon came out. He was absolutely wonderful, kind, comforting, clean, knowledgable and thorough. He found the root ball that the previous plumber hadn't cleared and removed it completely, assuring me that the line now looked great. I then asked if he had time for what I thought would be a quick pipe cleanout on my kitchen sink, but he identified the source of the problem and did "surgery" on it, as he said, fixing a problem 2 other plumbers had only shaken their heads at, and he didn't charge for it even though it took him almost an hour! Seriously! AS GOOD AS IT GETS! My Hubby and I just purchased a house back in September. This Saturday we ran into a major plumping issue. Our kitchen, shower, tub, and toilet backed up. No flow what so ever. We called our home shield people and they sent over a plumber from their list. He showed stayed for about 30mins and left without fixing the problem and after leaving a huge wet mess in my bathroom. And gave me the worst news ever root damage with no way of clearing it unless I called in a specialist. GREAT! Money I cant afford! So I called (almost in tears) Auburn Plumbing Co., Dave answered and says "I'll see you in 30mins." He showed up with a smile on his face. He put me at ease and said that he was pretty determined to fix any problem. He tried and tried to snake the line and eventually said to his assistant. "Get the big box." He busted through the clog and stuck a camera down the line to see what was going on. I now know EXACTLY what is wrong with my plumbing and what we need to do to fix it. I now know where any potential problems may arise later on with our line. Dave and his trusty assistant were professional, funny, put me at ease, fabulous! I used Auburn Plumbing about a year ago for a water heater problem. They responded the same day and got the water heater manufacturer to send out replacement parts under warranty, even though the warranty had expired. They gave great service at very reasonable rates. Today, I was having another problem with the water heater and called Dave and he diagnosed the problem over the phone and gave me instructions on how to fix it myself. Dave with Auburn Plumbing is incredible! Our hot water heater stopped working so we made several calls to plumbers. Nobody could come out and all stated that we needed to replace the unit. Dave was recommended to us and said he had several jobs he was working on but if we were willing to troubleshoot, he'd help us via the phone. A day later and a $12 part from Home Depot we have hot water again! That's true customer service and integrity. He could have tried to sell us another hot water heater like everyone else. July 31, 2014 I have two garbage disposals and one hasn't worked for three or four months. I finally decided to find a plumber and get the garbage disposal either fixed or replaced. I found Auburn Plumbing Co. (through Yelp), read the reviews, and called. Dave (recovering from shoulder surgery) answered the phone. He was so kind and patient as I described the symptoms of the malfunctioning garbage disposal. He concluded that it was stuck.
