The Casual Pint is a great spot for beer lovers! They offer over 30 beers on tap plus 5 wines (two white, a rose, a red, and prosecco). They also always have NA root beer, and ciders on tap for gluten-free folks or those who just don't like beer. You can get a crowler (can) or growler to-go of any beer on tap at any time. They also have two large coolers of canned beer, ciders, NA beer, NA beverages, and more that you can take with your or enjoy on site. There is a 40% discount for 6+ beers to go. This place has a large and established regular scene. They also have a Mug Club membership which gets you more beer per pour and some other perks. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome outside. There's also several TVs for sports, and a ton of board and card games you can play. Jeff does a stellar job every Tuesday with trivia. There are themed trivia nights (Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc.) sometimes that tend to get PACKED. So if you're planning to go, plan ahead and go early. The kitchen staff rock and are efficient at getting food out quickly. Everything is cooked in an oven. The pretzel and beer cheese is very popular and yummy. The food overall is average, but Darren does a good job of rotating specials throughout the year. Some of my personal favorite items (note some are specials) : Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, BBQ chicken nachos, German brat, CBR flatbread + drunken onions and peppers, the Apple pie quesadilla and the Elvis dilla. If you're looking for an amazing sit down dinner, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for a great beer selection, awesome people, and a bite to eat this is definitely for you! Been wanting to try this place for a while. Last Saturday, we had a quieter day because it's between hockey seasons, so we take the kids and head to the CP. we walked in and looked around for a while, nobody greeted us, there is no sign to seat yourself or to wait. We stand there for almost ten minutes, still no greeting and my son notices a sign that says "order here". Fine. Skipping a lot of frustrating banter with the woman at the register, who I hope has an excuse like it was her first day... The beer list was good, the pours were nice, temp was a little colder than room temperature, which I'm fine with but some people don't love it. The food was just ok, with the tots being the clear winner. I would go back for the beer (they have "to-go" in addition to draft) and it seemed like the bartender was friendly if you were sitting at the bar. I had passed by this place many times and was always curious so I finally stopped in for a beer. They weren't too crowded on a Sunday midafternoon but they had a bunch of regulars and a steady crowd came and went. They have a wide variety of over 30 beers ranging from the lightest lager to dark ports and stouts to yes (ick) IPA varieties so there's something for everyone on tap and they have some bottles/cans form sale in the cooler plus some beers and wines on the shelf to take home. Service was really friendly, Andy is a very engaging bartender and even kept the good times and beer flowing when the bar lost power for 20-30 mins (fortunately the taps still worked). Excellent sandwiches. Excellent selection of craft beers. Limited selections of other beverages. Each table has a number. You order at the bar, and they bring your food out to you. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and some tater tots. It was delicious. The bartender was working his tail off--took all the orders and delivered the food. I really liked this place. They are not a brewery but one of the better tasting rooms I have been to. They sell beers from all over the place (mostly Northeast of course). But they have a great selection and for sure there will be something from everyone from beers, ciders, and much more. If you want to try a bunch, get a flight! This is a fun place with a great beer selection. The staff is great and can answer all your beer questions and are willing to spend some time doing just that. i don't always feel the most "welcomed" when i walk in here and not sure of what's going on in their kitchen, but great beers and wine! they have specials throughout the week and occasional events, so it's a cool community spot for the right community. i've had food here on two occasions-- first time i got the s'mores pretzel and the pretzel itself was overpriced and flavorless, it just tasted like dough and the marshmallow dip was disgusting. if auntie anne's in the mall had this, i'd get it every week. the second time, i had a veggie burger with the beer cheese (not good at all) and their "curly" fries which were like 6 or 7 chunky fries with no noticeable seasoning or flavor on those either whatsoever. everything tasted like they just unthawed what was frozen and heated it up. i think for the overall experience, there are more welcoming, quality places to have beer, wine and bar food. this one doesn't do it for me. read more

I went to my first trivia night with a friend last week, themed "Pixar trivia." The venue is located inside a plaza, and there is a convenient parking garage nearby. The menu offers a wide selection of shareable options, including various beer types and table games. Before the staff started the trivia, we ordered a pretzel, which we shared with our beers. Although the portion size of the 10" Bavarian-style pretzel was generous enough, we put in an order for hot dogs with pretzel buns before the trivia began. The hot dogs were delicious, and we paired them with house-made beer cheese and lager beer. The place was packed, so if you are planning to go there for trivia on Tuesday, I suggest arriving at least 20 minutes ahead of time to choose your table. The beer menu is super diverse and they do a great job choosing what to put on tap. The food menu leaves a lot to be desired. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was okay but my partner tried the chipotle chicken sandwich and it was barely edible. It was super bland and the texture was rubbery since the chicken is baked. A quick stop for a late evening bite, and liked what I experienced: quick and amicable service, attention to details and product knowledge ( was looking for a Czech Pilsner and guess, I found it). A very interesting place where one cannot only eat and drink, but also shop for beer accessories. I have seen a lot of types of beer, all arranged on shelves by type and country. It was Ok, but another table ordered the pretzel, it's huge! We were totally drooling. My husband started going down/sampling the beer list... I went with wine. Uh, I should have stuck with beer. We live directly across the street from CP and come here often for Happy hour! The prices are reasonable and they have a great beer selection whether you want to drink there or take some to go. The staff here is surprise friendly and they have some really off the beaten path beers which my husband enjoys. The food is also tasty and it's definitely a "neighborhood" spot where the bartender knows your name. Quite a few of my neighbors are Casual Pint fans so they must be doing something right. Definitely recommend CP for a good beer and meal! read more

My husband used to really like this place and came every couple of weeks. I was never fond of the food, but enjoyed the chill environment and could get by with basic bar food. However we went yesterday and had a horrible experience that really turned us off. The largest issue was that when checking out my husband discovered an extra beer we hadn't ordered. He asked that it be taken off and the bartender pushed back. We pointed out that there were only two glasses on our table so there was no way we'd ordered a third beer. The bartender also loudly pushed back about the tip we'd left on the card, talking to other customers about it. (Meanwhile we were planning to leave it in cash on the table...) It was all in all a very odd experience. We were there with our two young children. My husband is not a native English speaker and the bartender was poking at that. We won't be back. read more

Wow what a find this was!! If you like or love draft beer this is as close to heaven as you can get. Rather than trying to decide among I don't know.. maybe 30 choices. Get a flight of 6 and savor them one at a time! Nice inside and outside seating with an extensive menu of delicious food. We chose the wings as a starter and the spicy meatballs! The wings were grilled to perfection. The flatbread pizzas were a hit as well as the brats ( drunken and German). Fun place with games on hand and some covered outdoor seating! Semi small parking lot but there is a garage for additional parking. They have a bunch of beer on tap and you can get a flight of 6 which is what we opted for. They do have some wine on tap. They have individual beers you can buy to drink here as well. In addition, they sell some other beer in 4 packs and some wine too as well as growlers. Only one bartender but it did take a little bit before we got our flight with a limited crowd. They have a food menu but I haven't tried anything. Alesation Pizza Beer - Red Ale - American Amber - pretty light red Ale. You Cam kind of get a hint of a smell of pizza but you don't really get it in the taste. Southern Tier Cold Brew Coffee Pumking - this isn't a Stout which was surprising. Toy get a steong pumpkin smell but the coffee flavor really hits you. Definitely tastes like a pumpkin coffee. Probably my favorite. Susquehanna Valley Lager - American Lager - pretty tasty, super light and refreshing and easy to drink. This would be a really good beer to mix with some other flavorful beers. Bingo Beer Rhyme for Rhyme - Wheat Beer - As obvious as this may sound, this is pretty wheaty, but probably not my favorite out of the 6. Antietam Witness Tree - Brown Ale - pretty good brown Ale, I think it's just a tad heavier than your typical brown Ale but I enjoyed this. Great Lake Lemon Hefeweizen - You get more of the lemon smell than you do the taste. There is a slight lemon taste that kind of lingers after you drink it but it's still pretty light. I came here on a Sunday evening with some friends and there were a good number of patrons around. Most were in groups so it felt like the place was busy even though it was mostly because we were right by the bar. I think they have a cool concept here - they showcase A LOT of beer on tap, in the expansive refrigerator case, and even on shelves! They offer flights, I didn't order the flight, but like some of the other reviews my friends told me about one particular person on the bar staff that was not helpful with recommendations. I hope the staff agrees on how they engage with customers... I came up later to try a few on the beers on draft and the guy that helped me was super nice, so I think it might just be one of the bartenders that is giving off this negative vibe. The food: your typical bar food. I had the pretzel and beer cheese - I recommend it for sure, it comes out nice and warm and served our group of 4 well. I took a bite out of my husband's The German and I almost wish I had one on my own, I'm just not always into Brats. I also tried the Southwest Egg Rolls that my friend ordered, I would order it again - not my first choice though. I also had the meatballs with chili bourbon sauce, good but I think I was underwhelmed - can't quite point my finger on it... might need to try again. I have been to Casual Pints in other cities and was glad to see one open in my area. This location like the others offers a large selection of draft craft beers and a menu of pub style food items. The also have a selection of canned and bottled craft beer. I had a selection of samplers of various beers. My wife had a glass of wine. We shared a plate of chips and salsa. The location is bit hard to find and access. It is on the access road on the north side of Arlington Blvd. There was parking available once I found how to get there. I plan to return. read more

Some places just have good vibes, and this is one of them. Conveniently located right off 50, with lots of free parking, the Casual Pint is a cozy neighborhood spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. The beer selection is (as you might expect) extensive; and rotates super regularly. I enjoy ordering a flight to try different brews. And while I haven't sampled much of the menu, what I have tried as been surprisingly good for a place that is so beer-centric. Finally, I have never had a bad 'beer tender' at this spot: they are friendly and helpful and really contribute to the 'neighborhood bar' feeling. Highly recommend! read more

Nice vibe, but an odd location. Seriously, wish these guys were 4 blocks further out rt 50 so that I could walk to them. Has a nice atmosphere more like a coffee shop that serves beer and food. They have a great selection of low and medium abv beers, many of which are VA breweries, which I appreciate. I was there earlier in the day I went so I grabbed a pilsner, which they had three to choose from; German, Italian and I forget the last. Then I shifted to an NEIPA. All beers were good. The soft pretzel was literally bigger than my entire head, and was delicious. I really enjoyed the flatbread, too. I'd been eagerly awaiting getting to try out The Casual Pint since I saw it being built (my parents used to live in the Loren apartments right above it), but then COVID hit and threw a wrench in my plans. Incredible selection of beer on tap and on the shelves! So much beer and so little time. Food was good, classic pub style. I had a burger and some cheese fries. Friendly staff and the place was very clean. I'll be back for sure. It'll take quite a few visits to try half those beers on tap but I'll figure out a way to muscle through. I was looking forward to eating here because I wanted to try the sidewinder fries. I've been looking for them since I had them in Phoenix. Sadly when we finally visited the experience was underwhelming. Two stars for the great beer selection and the service. People were warm and friendly. If you're just looking to have a couple beers, by all means I recommend. Zero stars for the food, however. Nothing is house made. Burger, sidewinders, boneless chicken fingers all frozen and heated up. Confirmed by the fact that when I asked about burger temp, the gentleman told me it was heated in the oven so they all were cooked the same. Cheese sauce and pretzel buns made the food edible. 35 (mostly local) craft beers on tap, friendly bartenders and servers along with a comfortable tap room to enjoy the drinks with friends. This place has only been open a month, but everything was smooth the night(s) I visited. The taps change frequently as one keg empties, another is loaded. Order a flight of 6 5 ounce pours or a pint or a growler. They have an easy to follow graphic that indicate whether the beer is malty, dark or bitter and those same symbols are tied to the food menu so you can pair them if you'd like. They have a cooler where you can mix and match individual beers and a section for packaged beer to go. The craft beer selections are impressive and I sampled several beers for the first time. For food I tried the chipotle chicken breast sandwich with their sidewinder fries. I got a solid meal, nothing fancy, at a reasonable price. Plenty of free parking in their lot.
