Terrible service and extremely rude treatment of customers. My car sat at this service center for two full days, and they did absolutely nothing -- literally nothing. I brought it in for a recall, where they were supposed to update the rear-view camera wiring, but after two days no work had been completed at all. On top of that, they somehow managed to scratch my car and damage interior trim pieces while it was in their care. That is completely unacceptable. I'm giving one star only because zero isn't an option. This dealership seriously damages the Audi brand's reputation. They should not be allowed to operate at this level. read more

I scheduled an appointment a full month in advance for a recall campaign involving a rear-view camera software update. I arrived on time and was told that the car would be kept for the entire day, even though the official letter clearly states that the procedure should take no more than half a day. By the end of Friday, no one contacted me. Only around noon on Saturday--after I called myself--was I informed that the car might be ready sometime around Tuesday. No loaner vehicle. No transportation assistance. No communication. Nothing. The service department's handling of this situation is disgraceful and completely unprofessional. About 5 years ago, I stopped using this shop because of poor service; heavy upselling and trying to bilk me for work on a vehicle I had just driven off the lot. (My 2nd Audi at this location) Sales clearly knew about issues with a used vehicle that were not disclosed to me; the service advisor I was assigned was happy and eager to call and try and charge an arm and a leg for work I never knew I needed. Another concern, the sales guy told me the existing warranty on a previously leased car transferred to me upon purchase, the service advisor said the opposite. Wasn't interested in making a fuss or calling a lawyer... I just stopped giving them my business. Fast forward to today, I walked in for a problem related to a water pump (recall / settlement deal) and assigned a new advisor named Damien; the rude guy (name withheld) that irritated me before is no longer with the company. (Good move, management!) Anyway, Damien was super nice and patient with me, regardless of the questions or comments I made. Sure, he is going to try and sell me on work beyond the issue I brought the car in for... I get it, they're running a business. The reason I am writing this positive review is because my advisor made me feel like a valued customer, even though I hadn't been to Audi San Diego in 5+ years. When I scoffed at the price of an oil change, he handled it like a pro.. and again, didn't make me feel like crap for not jumping at the chance to pay for one thing or another. Long story short, the Audi (customer) experience I had today matches the great experiences I've had with Audi/BMW/Benz over the last 20 years. For now, I'm going to reconsider my breakup with Audi.. we will see what the damage is when I hear back from the shop. But, if today is any indication of the treatment I can expect to receive as a customer; I'll definitely be back. Cautiously hopeful that my update post-service will be a positive one. read more

When I came inside, they were talking among themselves whilst staring at us. Not once did anyone welcome us, let alone try and sell a car. I'm writing this review while still being ignored. I rarely write reviews unless the service is either exceptionally good or extremely bad. In the case of Audi San Diego, my sales experience with Mario was excellent. Unfortunately, the after-sales service provided by Richard, Daniel, George, and others has been an absolute nightmare. I'm writing this review in the hope that they improve some very basic customer-service standards. I own a 2025 Audi SQ6, which I picked up in July. Since then, the car has randomly displayed error messages, malfunctions, and system limitations. In October, while exiting the highway, a "danger on the road" warning suddenly appeared and the car attempted to steer itself to the right to avoid an obstacle -- even though there was nothing on the road. It was terrifying trying to keep control of the vehicle. When I called Audi San Diego to schedule an appointment to diagnose the issue, they told me the earliest available date was four weeks out because they did not have a loaner vehicle available. I accepted an appointment for December 2nd. On the day they were supposed to pick up my car, they never called to confirm, and I eventually called them myself. Only then was I told: "We don't have any loaner cars available for you." In other words, they were not coming -- and had no intention of notifying me. I explained that I had already waited a full month specifically for the loaner. After a lot of back-and-forth, they said they could rent a car from Enterprise for me. An hour later, they called again saying a loaner Audi had suddenly become available. After wasting half my day, they finally picked up the car. On Thursday, they texted me saying they were updating the software and would contact me with more information on Friday. Friday passed -- nothing. I waited through the weekend, and on Monday we called more than five times. We waited hours for callbacks, spoke with multiple different employees, and were transferred repeatedly to people who were either not at their desks or not even working that day. Every call went to voicemail. On Tuesday, I began calling again at 9 a.m. Same situation: constant transfers to unavailable employees. After insisting, we were finally told the car would probably be ready on Wednesday. I asked for delivery at 3 p.m. and requested they check the foot-activated trunk sensor, which rarely works. On Wednesday, around 2 p.m., I called to confirm. Once again, I was told the car would be ready later that day or possibly Thursday -- with no plan to notify me. Since Thursday and Friday are my busiest days, I told them that if they couldn't deliver on Wednesday, they would need to bring it on Monday, as the service department is closed on weekends. Shortly after, they texted saying they could bring my car now. Great -- I just wanted the vehicle back in proper working condition. When the car arrived, I was surprised to see it had only 21% battery. I could not understand how a dealership could take your car, drive it, and not even replenish the battery they used. When I asked about it, the employee replied: "You have to ask us to charge it. If you don't ask, we don't do it." I never imagined I needed to request something so basic. Meanwhile, I made sure to return the loaner with a similar charge level to what they gave me. As for the trunk sensor, the employee couldn't get it to work even once. Their solution? Nothing. They simply said they didn't know how to fix it and showed no concern about the issue at all. After all of this -- the errors, the malfunctions, the lack of communication, the constant transfers, the missed commitments, and the overall indifference toward the customer experience -- I have completely lost confidence in Audi San Diego's service department. Going forward, I will be taking my vehicle to Audi Carlsbad, hoping their service team is more professional and customer-focused. read more

Fortunately, I've only had to bring my car in 1x year for maintenance, and each time it's been fine. Audi has a two nice waiting areas and they're pretty generous with drinks and snacks. Hello, I had taken my car into Audi on April 17 and I am posting this on April 25 I had taken my car for some plastic trimmings, and they are still not done with my car. Not only that I drive an electric car which I don't pay for gas. They gave me a loaner with gas and told me I have to pay for it. I haven't even paid for electricity in almost 3 years. I have tried to call Richard, which is the associate that is helping me. I have called him at least seven times and not even one response from him. I call the Audi I get connected to someone and then they will transfer me over to either Richard or a Manager. Neither of them answer their phones and every day I call for an update of my car because it should not take seven days to fix some plastic trimming on the side of the car. Mind you I work with cars all day so I know how long things should be taken. Their service sucks. You can't even get a hold of anyone. They act so friendly, but it's not it. I'm still waiting for my car and finally Richard answered the 5th day telling me "oh you have the loaner you're fine" I am not fine when I'm putting almost $150 in the gas tank every 4 days compared to when I put zero dollars of electricity in my tank. This is high-key horrible service. Not only was I told I will not be reimbursed for the gasoline that I am paying for which is not right because I am not a gas car customer. This is my first time with an Audi. I've only had it for a couple months and I got it from LA now I understand why everyone skips over Audi. read more

Recently took my Audi A3 etron sportback to Audi for standard maintenance and to check and possibly replace my 12V battery since I was getting a low battery indicator. Overall, happy with my service. Everyone was very professional and polite. They made sure to also wash my car and take care of me when I left. However, they quoted me $1116.16 to replace the battery (and another $1500 for a transmission pan replacement). I wasn't prepared to shell out all that for these jobs. I still have the quote here -- they said the battery would cost $518 and it would be another $558 for 2 hrs of labor. I declined the service and called my old mechanic Mike at Wolf's Foreign Car Service. Mike said he could do this for me. He said it would be the same price for the battery because he would buy it directly from the dealer, but it would take him one hour of labor. Well, I had this taken care of today. Mike at Wolf's said it would be $510. I was confused. I said what about the labor? He said that was included. Turns out when he went Audi San Diego today to buy the battery it was only $325! Then he charged me an additional $160 for labor and the remainder was the tax. So can someone explain to me why when my car was literally at Audi San Diego they wanted to charge me $233 more for the battery alone?! Not even considering the labor. It makes me super mad they wanted to charge me 59% more for the battery. Makes me so distrustful of their practices. I saved $606 going elsewhere for the 12V battery and installation. I have no idea why they charge more for the parts they are selling in their service department and how this is even legal. Not the first time their parts department has given me a different price than the service department. read more

I bought a car at Audi San Diego yesterday and it was the best car buying experience I've had in 40 years of car purchasing. My salesman, Mario, was helpful, professional, straightforward and a pleasure to work with. He's just a genuinely good person and you don't feel like he's selling something as much as he wants to help you purchase the car you want. He knew I'd be driving from Calabasas to San Diego and was willing to complete the specifics of the deal over the phone so I wouldn't make the trip not knowing what I'd end up with. The dealership itself is beautiful and the staff members I interacted with all were knowledgeable and friendly. Mario organized the sale so that they set up my phone, showed me the new features, etc when I first got there, and they detailed the car while I was signing papers so I could drive off as soon as I finished signing. Usually in my experience, the finance person in an otherwise friendly dealership is the only person who is cold and intimidating. But Janessa was incredible! She was one of those people who has so much experience and is well-suited to her position that it was a great experience working with her. She was helpful and made an effort to get me the best discounts and advised what I didn't need, etc. From my first phone conversation with Mario to finishing the deal with Janessa, , this was a great experience! Sloppy and inattentive is all I can say here. I did my homework and checked around several car sites to find a used 2018 VW Atlas I was interested in and made an appointment for a test-drive the next day. I wasn't there to waste anyone's time; so when it met my expectations I made a cash offer. From there it was a series of mistakes (name misspelled/documents had to be redone, email made up/ never got anything after) which made this process much longer than needed. The insult to injury was although they claimed the vehicle had gone through a thorough inspection, they left in the original 2018 battery; meaning 2 weeks after I drove the car home, i woke up to a completely dead engine. I was told upon closing that I had a 30-day "end to end" warranty as well as a 3 month "powertran" warranty. Well, guess which on wasn't honored. So, $250 in a new battery which the dealership essentially said, "oh well". Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I owned Audis for roughly 25 straight years, and previously, I've done all of my services at Audi San Diego. I think originally, an oil change was about $50, but even until recently, they were charging me about $150. Late last year, my service advisor, Scott, retired, and now, magically, they can't honor that price anymore. Now, they want over $400 just to change the oil. I also told them that I have a rattle from my left speaker, and they want a minimum of $275 just to listen to it and diagnose the issue. For the heck of it, I called Audi Long Beach, which is where I bought this car, and rather than $400+ for an oil change, they quoted me $129. I then called Audi Escondido and they quoted $99 for a full synthetic oil change, so I did it there. Not only did Audi Escondido do the oil change for $99, but they did a really nice detail including tire dressing included in that price. I have a feeling I won't be going to Audi San Diego anymore. Maybe for recall work or insurance work, where I don't have to pay out of pocket, but that's about it. Frankly, I'm not sure if they deserve that. It seems as if current management's goal is to squeeze every possible penny out of their customers. While I get that they run a business and need to show a profit, their pricing isn't what I would consider to be remotely customer-friendly. And of course, I was a 25 year customer. That kind of loyalty is hard to come by. read more

I bought a 2021 M340i for $44k from this business on 5/16/2023 and it has been nothing but a nightmare in the 5 weeks I have owned it. Nabi Rasul was the salesmen. I was assured the car had multiple multi-point inspections and was ready to go. The first issue came up only two days after I purchased the car. He told me to come in and they would help me. I drove almost an hour to get there and was told they could do nothing for me. I purchased a warranty from them covering tires, pdr, windshield etc. Of course I got a flat tire and needed a new one. However, they never submitted my insurance paperwork and my car was left in limbo as I did not want to pay $460+ for a new one when I just paid for a warranty covering said issue. I had to bug them endlessly to finally have it taken care of. The same week the car started reading low oil level...even though they supposedly "inspected" the car and did an oil change. They even used the wrong oil weight when the salesmen sent me what oil they used. The car calls for 0w-20 and they used 5w-40. The car also started leaking coolant shortly after. The car has currently been in the shop since last Tuesday due to issues starting, sunroof issues, and suspension noise. It has been in the shop for 3/5 weeks of ownership. The car has had so many issues and the dealership refuses to even acknowledge my messages. Now I am stuck with a payment on a car that has been in the shop. I almost forgot what the car looks like since it has been in the shop more than on the road since my ownership. read more

My Q5 had a major problem that needed repair and it took over a year to get the parts, something they cannot control since it's coming from Germany and issues with supplies. Throughout the course of the repair, they provided me with a rental car and gave me updates. With clear communication and expectations, my car is now fixed and driving like a new car. Parts guy was full of attitude from the get go, wanted $800 for a 2ft piece of trim, but didn't have it in stock, had to come from Texas, asked him for a part number and he refused, stating his boss had told him not to give out part numbers as people will buy from someplace else. Earlier this week I had dropped my car off for routine maintenance and prior to leaving it, there were no issues. I received a text link to review the inspection and the rep "found" multiple issues with my vehicle which all had parts fees of a couple/few hundred and labor fees for thousands! For the sake of just getting it done and over with, I agreed and my car was ready the next day! Ridiculous! In addition, when I had a question for my rep LOGAN, about the findings or my vehicle he would not respond promptly but when I inquired on any type of purchases, he'd respond promptly. When I picked up my vehicle and politely expressed my frustration on the labor costs, he was speaking to me in a very condescending manner with no empathy. As I was outside getting ready to leave the lot, I saw him walk over to his colleagues and staring at me laughing...this was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. Do not come here for servicing unless you want to get ripped off and have the men speak to you in the same manner and make you feel uncomfortable from start to finish. read more

We are very disappointed with the service at Audi San Diego this month. We have purchased four vehicles from the company and recently bought out our leased car. After a month of delays due to a nationwide system failure, we still received no assistance once the system was restored two weeks ago. Sales employees indicated they don't benefit from financing the car, so they provide it as a favor. Today after six calls and three texts (and a month of calling, emails and text), we were finally seen by Kaleb, who seemed uninterested in helping us find the best payment options or purchase a new vehicle. He appeared upset over a minor mistake on our application and asked us to move because he needed to make other calls. Okay, my husband took my Audi A8L in for an oil change last Wednesday. They called and said they found another issue. We agreed they keep the car to fix the new problem. That was last week. No loaner car, (apparently you must sign up for a reservation to get a loaner car but no one told us when they found the new issue) they will not pay for a rental, but they do provide one round trip LYFT ride per day.... They have a monopoly on this area and while nice enough to talk to...they absolutely do not care about the customer. They don't. This dealership is top-notch. Very professional. Very friendly... and... very accommodating. When my car arrived at the dealership from the port, they inspected it, readied it, detailed it, and sent a pre-paid LYFT driver to come pick me up at my house. The Finance Manager (who does all the paperwork) was polite and professional. I just can't say enough good things about the care buying experience at this dealership.
