    Hi Sam, Jesús, Alex, Paulina, and Abe, I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for making my purchase of a brand-new 2026 Kia Sportage last Friday at Kearny Mesa Kia such a fantastic experience. Sam, you could not have been nicer or more helpful--you provided outstanding service from start to finish. In all my years of purchasing or leasing cars, I've never had an experience that went so smoothly. Jesús, as the sales manager, you confirmed exactly what we were trying to achieve with the right car at the right lease price--your support was excellent. Alex, you were the fastest finance manager I've ever worked with, and having all of my documents on a thumb drive made everything incredibly easy. Paulina, you were so kind to walk me through the car and even sync my phone--just a great personal touch. And Abe, when I came back the next day to drop off my extra set of keys from my Niro, you and Sam helped me out right away. The entire process could not have been smoother, easier, or faster. I'm so happy with my new Sportage and truly grateful for how each of you contributed to such a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be recommending Kearny Mesa Kia to friends and family.     Damage to the steering wheel, seems like maybe they used a corrosive material

    Went in for a spark plug repair which was done timely and fine but my Car interior was damaged and there was no follow up on the damage and they tried to shift blame. Very disappointing experience, the repairs were fine but to damage my vehicle and not follow up is disappointing.

    KEARNY MESA KIA SERVICE REVIEW: Big Mahalo to Kia Service Advisor Bryan A. I bought my Kia used from Hertz Car Sales in Hawaii because it had an amazing warranty. It's a 10-year or 100,000-mile warranty (whichever came first); it was put to the test recently. Brian said he would take care of us and he held to his word. He treated us like we bought the car from that location. From the moment my husband and I walked through the door we felt taken care of. He listened to what was going on with my car and genuinely seemed empathetic to the situation. Brian continuously reached out to us about the status of my car. Due to work, I wasn't always able to answer his calls so he would text and I would respond when I was on break. I had to change all four tires. A recall was done on my car. I also did other work that was suggested. My husband and brother who flips cars looked it over the plan and said to move forward with it. The waiting room is spacious. It had a charging area, a coffee maker and water bottles available. I will say that it was difficult to get a hold of someone over the phone. I hope I don't have to return anytime soon but when I do I will reach out to Bryan. 10/30: You will continue to see me in a Kia!

Higher viscosity leads to higher pressures which lead to seals leaking and failing. I'm really surprised you haven't researched this. How about the leaking oil filter a day after install? Seems like a sure way to get more money outta a customer once their engine gets starved of oil. How about the sloppy work with oil left all over my car? Lack of care and integrity. How about the scratches from resting my tires on the paint of my car? Lazy and inconsiderate. Pulled from the article that copied and pasted "Engine Design Changes: Newer Toyota engines are designed with tighter tolerances and specific lubrication needs that necessitate these thinner oils, such as OW-16 or OW-8." Exactly my 2019 Lexus ux250 is a newer Toyota engine if you weren't aware , so why are changing it?

When Francisco reviewed the invoice, he immediately spotted erroneous charges and argued on my behalf to have them corrected - without me even asking. I showed his email to several friends, and even they were shocked by how thorough and professional he was in pushing back. That alone earned my trust. Francisco personally picked up my vehicle, coordinated everything seamlessly, and had an entirely new engine installed within a week - which is incredible considering the scope of the work. To make matters even better, he later removed a charge from my estimate because the actual cost to him was less. Who does that? That level of honesty is rare. From start to finish, this shop demonstrated integrity, efficiency, and genuine customer advocacy. I never felt taken advantage of, rushed, or kept in the dark. Francisco treated my car - and my money - as if they were his own. If you're looking for a shop that is skilled, ethical, fast, and truly stands up for their customers, this is it. I brought in my Honda Ridgeline for an issue with my AC. Jason worked with me at the front-desk and went above and beyond to understand my issue and the troubleshooting I had already done. He explained to me CONCISELY what the feasible issue may be, and how they were going to approach a diagnosis. Jason was extremely knowledgeable, and followed up promptly to discuss the fix. Pedro was also exceptional. He found the issue (rodent-chewed wires) and repaired it perfectly. When I picked up my car, he was as excited as I was to have helped me. Before Miramar Auto, I took my truck to the Honda dealer, and they charged twice as much for a diagnosis, only to tell me that I would need a new compressor (incorrect diagnosis) and that it would cost twice as much as I ended up paying out the door at Miramar auto. I couldn't believe how easy Miramar Auto made it. To say that Jason, Pedro, and Miramar Auto are honest, fair, and made me feel taken care of... would be an understatement. I booked online, noted my concerns in the text box, and dropped my car off the next day. After checking in at the office, I walked Joey through my concerns and opted for a Post-Purchase Inspection. Joey sent over the findings quickly and gave me his honest, upfront opinion on what needed immediate attention before my trip versus what maintenance could wait until I reached my destination. He also provided a clear copy of the inspection quotes so there were no surprises. In the end, they completed the full inspection, replaced the car battery, and fixed a coolant leak for around $550+ (including taxes). I definitely recommend this shop! Pro-tip: Try to get there early in the day, as on-site parking and road traffic can get a bit hectic later on.
