Originally, we tried installing the recommended harness, but given the age of the car, it didn't work out. No problem -- Chris went above and beyond, rewiring the entire system and bypassing the old amplifier. It wasn't a simple task by any means, and although the final cost was about double the original quote, I understand why -- the extra work was substantial and totally worth it. Fortunately, I was able to return the harness, which helped a bit too. Chris also removed the CD changer from the glove compartment, which now makes that space usable again -- small detail, but a big win for functionality! This is a long overdue review, but I'm glad I waited. I…read morebought a new car 9 months ago and I was shocked at how awful the sound system was (Mercedes AMG). I met with Taylor at City Car Radio and we discussed ways to improve. He didn't push an immediate huge overhaul, but instead suggested we do this in stages and see how it goes. He started by installing a 12" subwoofer and amp in the rear cargo area which added a lot to the quality, but was too much . I contacted him the next day and he offered to exchange the 12" for a 10" in a new box mounted under the rear cargo area. We did that and it was a huge step up, but there was still something missing in the overall sound quality. I had enough credit remaining from the subwoofer exchange to help cover additional costs to upgrade the tweeters and mids (my car had no tweeters at all originally). Once that was complete, the sound was great. After a few weeks of cautious use allowing the system to settle in, I began really testing it out. Almost 9 months later, I swear the sound quality has continually improved and everything sounds ridiculously incredible. And I give it a very thorough workout! Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Missy Elliot, as well as NPR news during my morning commute and everything sounds perfect. Taylor took a conservative approach throughout the process and didn't push changing out all of the speakers and adding unnecessary equipment. Step by step, add/update, evaluate, and decide if we need more.

Very frustrating, unprofessional when a business does not respect a scheduled appointment nor gives you a simple notice that they won't be open for business on the day of your appointment. I guess time to cut ties after 25+ years doing business here due to new owner negligence and disrespect and broken communication. It is very sad to see a once successful business go to ruins with very bad customer service. If I could give zero stars I would. Need to find a new place to finish what this place has not completely finished. Long story short. What was suppose to be an estimated 2-3 week double din to single din stereo swap with new dashboard and bezels turned to be a more than 5 months car being held hostage and stripped apart with no eta when it will be done turned into nightmare and endless lies and whole new other unwanted project. Claim all the the previous wiring and work was not good and it was all done here the past 15+ years of ownership and not under lifetime warranty like it is suppose to since new ownership. Smh so many other issues here too many to list. Wanted to make a timeline but will require like 5 pages to write out. Time to find better, honest service that is reliable and communicative without giving the run arounds that gives approximate deadlines, not store your car untouched for half a year and still not done!
