I recently brought my 2005 Mercedes SLK 350 to Beyond Street Performance to upgrade the stereo/head unit and also had him check/run a diagnostic because of the error messages l had on the dashboard, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Chris was incredibly friendly, professional, and super communicative throughout the whole process -- especially via text, which made everything so much easier. Originally, we tried installing the recommended harness, but given the age of the car, it didn't work out. No problem -- Chris went above and beyond, rewiring the entire system and bypassing the old amplifier. It wasn't a simple task by any means, and although the final cost was about double the original quote, I understand why -- the extra work was substantial and totally worth it. Fortunately, I was able to return the harness, which helped a bit too. Chris also removed the CD changer from the glove compartment, which now makes that space usable again -- small detail, but a big win for functionality! Feel really lucky to have found and worked with Beyond Street Performance on a Car Stereo install. I had sourced the equipment myself and they were happy to do the install. Unfortunately, the backup camera was damaged in shipping, but they happily sold me one of theirs in stock. Then the feed from the camera was intermittent, and they insisted on replacing all the wiring for it in the car (front to back) for free, to make sure the problem was solved. Thieves stole the car and after I recovered it, I discovered my instrument cluster panel and air conditioning weren't working properly along with some other issues. I had Chris swap out my stock rims and TPMS sensors with aftermarket ones on my Mazda 3 and he did so without any hiccups all while chatting. He made sure both my stock and aftermarket rims were unscratched while swapping out the tires, balancing, and mounting. The pricing was also reasonable comparing to other wheel shops I've looked around. It may not be the cheapest, but I've had my lugs/rims scratched from mainstream tire shops in the past, and Chris is unquestionably more careful with your stuff. THE BEST!!! Friends, a good car person is elusive. Truly. But Chris is amazing. He's not just skilled at car electronics (which he does incredibly well too - I know from my boss's car); he's also the bomb at car maintenance! I am not lying when I say I went to three different mechanics/shops over the last year who caused more damage than they fixed. Every time I left, something new was wrong until the car just started to smell like exhaust all the time, INSIDE! and just decline in performance, quickly. But my car is 18-years old with 200K miles. I thought, "Well, this is it. It's been a good run." Which it has been, even for a Toyota. But Chris brought my old girl back to life. Not only did he fix the ailments, mechanical and electrical, and replace the brakes, etc., but my car actually looks amazing under the hood! It used to look like the inside of an abandoned barbecue under HWY 880, but it looks nice now! You can see where he cleaned up the battery connectors, where the belts look lovely and fresh, and where the new higher-quality exhaust manifold is sitting pretty. That's the thing - Chris didn't just fix and replace parts, he did so with quality parts and cleanly, unlike the last several mechanics. I don't even want to think about the other "new" parts in my car from the last shops that may be inferior (looking at you, front axle). And, my favorite part, he sent photos and videos throughout the process so I could see what damage there was and how the new parts were running! The transparency was refreshing and welcome. Anyway, this is getting too long. Suffice to say that my car has not run this easily, this smoothly, and this happily in a very very very long time. I'm so very grateful. read more

They even helped out remove an old parking permit sticker on the car that had been there for 5 years, at no charge.
