Hello there to everyone. I am here to write a review on this location and specifically for the owner. I had my car at a shop next door (being fixed/restored) and I went to go ask this man about a system. I advised him of what I wanted and he advised that he is almost a documented genius and did not listen to me on the brands that I wanted. Anyways, what he did to me was awful. He promised me the stars and the moon and stated do to others as you would others to do to you over and over and stated that he was going to be the easiest to work with. Long story short, he changed my order and stated that the car called for it and refused to refund me the difference. I called him out on that and refused and got upset and started calling me names (used profanity). I told Alan that it was only fair since my bill was $6,300 plus tax and states he only takes cash. He then refused to let my car go unless his bill was paid in full and did not even finish my center console which was part of the bill. This man is evil and like everyone knows and says that Karma is a bitc*. This guy will get his with authorities and he is getting older and he will get his with a crazy customer because I know he does this and not only to me. Stay away and look at the messages he sent me and I told him to not offend me. If he did something to you report him as this will be the only way of doing business. The Audio Shoppe was the perfect place to help with a "nitch" stereo install on my '74 Corvette. I wanted something modern and high powered, car stereo wise, but something that wouldn't attract attention to someone passing by and glancing in my car window for a quick smash and grab. A long time ago, I had an expensive radio ripped out of my dash, causing not only the expense of the lost car stereo, but also for extensive dash repair. I also wanted to keep the original look of my Stingray center console. Alan had the perfect suggestion! I ended up getting a "stock" looking radio that looked completely factory... UNTIL the unit powered on. And then it became a modern digital high powered car stereo. Super cool! It totally looks like the (worthless) factory radio when the car's just parked there! Even the front and rear speaker systems aren't visible from the window view, super "stealth"! The quality of labor and attention to detail on my "factory" radio couldn't be beat. And I felt the labor price was more than fair. The shop seemed to be packed with custom show cars and the displays in the lobby gave you examples of how "high end" you can go with your car stereo. A few days ago I called Alan the owner and got a quote for a car alarm for my old Ford van and a new AM/FM/CD player. He called me back and said he had time on Saturday to do the install. The alarm went in perfect but there was a problem with the vans dash wiring harness going to the new Pioneer stereo that another shop installed poorly several years ago. It took them more time to diagnose the issue and his tech had it working great in no time. It's nice when a business takes the time to correct a problem at no extra charge even though it was not something they caused. I couldn't be happier with the friendly experienced and qualified work done on my van. I came in recently to get my car stereo and steering wheel control adapter installed. I called about a month ago and they quoted me $120. I called before I went and they said that $120 would be an estimate without looking at the car (which they didn't tell me when I first called), but that I should come in to get an exact estimate. I went and the guys were very nice and told me to make myself at home. However, I felt like the owner was trying to squeeze money out of me. First of all, when I arrived, one of them had to do research on my vehicle to see what needed to be done. I had all the parts needed to do the installation (stereo, double din kit, and steering wheel adapter). They said that because my car was a specific model, it would be a very difficult job and they would have to charge me more than $120. At first, I was okay about that, but then the other guy told me it would be at LEAST $325. That is ridiculous. I've called about 5 different places and its always ranging between the $120-200 range, no matter how difficult the job may be. For christ's sake, they are a car stereo installation place. I can remove the center console/ac vent/radio by myself (this is why they said it would be a difficult job) within 30 minutes, but I just don't know how to install the actual stereo and program everything, which is why I went to them for help. I told them that I would look at other places such as Best Buy, and the guy said, "Getting Best Buy to get your stereo installed is like asking McDonalds to make a filet mignon". Within that same hour, I went to another place that I called a month ago as well. I went to Pacific Stereo, which quoted me $150 when I first called. They said they could do it for me and they would honor the price that they told me. Within two hours, they were able to install it perfectly fine. Everything works absolutely fine and my new stereo sits flush within my car. $150 compared to $325+ is a huge difference, and they were able to do the SAME job. They had no complaints and even asked me when I called if I had the double din kit ready. They were well prepared and knew what to do. I can't say the same for Audio Shoppe, however. read more

Yelp has them listed as a glass shop and detail shop which is Yelps error as they do neither, they specialize in stereos and alarms, good quality products and custom installation, good work ain't cheap and cheap work ain't good, so keep that in mind. read more

I met Alan, and the guys from Audio Shoppe, through happenstance. I was first drawn to Audio Shops shop truck in an Albertson's parking lot. I was drawn to the custom a-pillar work visible through the windshield. A few weeks later I spotted the truck parked in front of Audio Shoppe...The rest, they say, is history. I went in and met Alan, Jack (the dog), Matt, and the rest of the crew. I had them quote me out on a SQ setup in my F150. I ended up listening to Alan's advise and couldn't be happier. I enjoyed the Kenwood/Arc Audio/DLS/Memphis system they put in for several years. The system is now being enjoyed by the new owner that bought my truck. This isn't your corner alarm/rims/stereo shop. What a horrible experience! It took me 38 months to do a frame-off complete rebuild on my El Camino. Alan charged me $1000 JUST FOR INSTALLATION, and the only components he needed to wire were the amp, 2 speakers (plus subwoofer), and a bluetooth receiver. No head unit or I-Pod wiring. The job was incomplete, the quality of install was far below what an amateur would do (I'd be happy to post pictures of the mess I spent two hours redoing), and his excuses were innumerable. The overlap on the carpet was backwards when he got done, the power wires not connected, the kick panels not installed, the seat hit the amp wiring when I reinstalled it, a screw was misplaced and bending the circuit board for subcontrol knob, and he'd bundled up, wrapped with electrical tape, and stuffed under the back carpet a pile of wire. And he had the gall to tell me what an amazing deal I got...that he typically would have charged $3000 for the installation alone. Beware! read more
