Overall charming group of people. I got my 2009 Honda accord fitted with a stereo and backup camera here and so far it's been working well. It comes with Apple CarPlay and such but since my power chord for my phone is a little busted I can't even use it properly so I just use Bluetooth and it works really well! Only downside is the occasional disconnects every time I switch gears which is a little annoying. Some of the parts are marked up a little and if your a college student like me then I'd recommend you find the parts you need first for a cheaper price and then go to them for their service. I paid a little more than I needed too but I'm not complaining. Only if you need to save those few extra dollars. Overall the team were very nice, negotiable, respectful, and overall very professional in their work. I look forward to returning for a tint job when I'm free but overall great experience. read more

Very disappointed with this stereo shop. The install was done wrong and I started having problems with my system right after leaving the shop. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they tried to upcharge me to "fix" problems they caused themselves. For the amount of money charged, I expected professional work and better customer service. The whole experience felt unprofessional and rushed. I purchased an alarm from Auto Stereo of Riverside a while back. One of my remotes went bad and I simply asked where was the antenna button to be able to program the a new remote. They told they dont have those anymore on those alarms. They did tell me they could program the remote for me for 33 dollars. I purchased the alarm from them and I still have my receipt I guess they dont believe taking care of a repeat customer. That rubbed me the wrong way so if I'm going to be charged I rather go to another shop and give them my business on the programing of the new remote and a new alarm system for my old Ford nothing fancy just basic but the other shop will get my business. Lesson learned read reviews before buying stuff from small shops. I will stick to larger shops with good reviews on customer service. read more

May or may not fulfill ur basic needs but would not recommend taking any classic vehicle to this shop, had a rewire done on my vehicle to fix some damaged wires on my radio and they wired it completely wrong and tried to tell me I needed to fix something on my end and to bring it back so I had someone else take a look and they fixed it no problem without me having to repair anything. I usually don't write bad reviews but this time it was inevitable. I took my brand new car to get ceramic tint installed. When I picked it up I noticed all kind of bubbles. The gentlemen told me it was normal. I've gotten other cars tint done somewhere else and I had never noticed anything like it before. I waited a week to finally wash the car and inspect it. Thats when I was surprised with a whole lot of imperfections and bubbles on all windows. I took the car back and the gentlemen agreed to change out the sun roof one because it had the biggest air pocket. But for the rest of the imperfections he told me it was the cars seals fault(car out the lot) and that the rear window wasn't recommended it to replace because it would damage the defrost feature. When I went to pick up my car again, I noticed gaps all around the new sun roof tint. I also noticed that it was not the same tint shade or material. Now I have to drive around my car with imperfections all around my windows and got hustled because they don't have integrity. Pretty great! Thanks for the bad workmanship. read more

Let's talk about amazing customer service. I needed help with an old alarm on a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Went into Auto Stereo at 11 AM, explained my issues to Kyle. He spoke with Mike and they were at my home within 30 minutes to undo wiring and getting my truck back to their shop. New alarm was installed and a lock was replaced which was sorely needed. For reference Kenwood 6.5s that are on sale for $20 at Best Buy regular $40, they are selling for $100, 10" sealed box is $85, Wal-Mart $40. I was trying to shop smaller businesses, and I was trying to find a good shop in the area after moving to Riverside, but I will be going back to Auto Image in Ontario for my tint instead. read more

I had a alarm installed about 5-6 weeks ago and it seemed ok for about a week then the alarm started going off (horn sounding) for no reason at all. As I told the tech, there was no one around, not windy, no noises, no rumbling trucks, but it only happened on a sunday between 1pm-5pm every 10 minutes. I took it back to have adjusted several different times. Last weekend was worse, Sat, Sun, and Monday all around the same time 1pm- 5pm every 10 minutes. I finally asked them to remove it and refund my money, they did without any hassle. They installed an alarm on my truck several years ago and i haven't had any problems. So who knows what the heck is happening. I change this to 4 stars, Auto Stereo of Riverside is a good place to go which I have stated but I honestly can't give 5 stars for something that didn't work, i'm sure no fault of auto stereo. Whatever caused it not to work properly maybe we'll never know. I will go back for other services if they let me. read more

I took my car in for a back up camera. I already have a head unit so all I needed was the camera. I had gone once like 3 months before and the guy told me a solid price of 120. So I went back for pull the trigger and the guy looks at my car and says, 150. I tried to haggle him down and he went to 140. When I was about to leave cause I said no, he went "inside" and when he came out he said ok 120 but cash only. And he told me that price for their "top of the line camera". So installing it... They installed it and they said it was all good, I left and noticed my camera tone was purple. I called them right after and they said it is the infrared sensors that make it look that way And it's normal. I didn't believe it but I was like ookaaay. So couple days later I couldn't take it anymore so I called them and I showed them. The guy said again it's normal and it looks just fine. Again, it's the "infrared sensors". And then he talked to his coworker and they "agreed" that it was a little more purple than normal. So again I left and I brought it back a couple days later. When they "swapped out" the camera I checked out the camera and it looked exactly the same so I told him and he said it has to be my stereo. He also said that they did not verify once they swapped out the second one so he was supposedly surprised because it was a brand new camera and he basically told me he did not verify before letting the car out of the garage. So again they took their even more top-of-the-line camera and swap that out with Dad and a couple hours later they told me that my stereo showed their top-of-the-line camera purple so they said it was my stereo and it stuck to it. I got tired of dealing with them so I left. A couple days later I realized that they had damaged my rear windshield wiper and messed up settings on my stereo which I didn't know because the stereo was pretty new, so when I stop by just to tell them if they missed a wire or did anything to my settings the guys rolled her eyes because they knew I was back and they had an a little attitude and assumed I was there for the camera. The guys came out and they changed my settings and that was it. So that's my experience with this place. These guys are very rude and very scared me and will overcharge anything and try to get you to make you believe it's your equipment that's wrong and not theirs. I took my car to another shop and they told me that the wires they installed were bad and were wrong so they did a little quick fix and the camera worked just fine. First of all presentation is everything and the vibe I got from all of these people when I walked in was a little less than they'd care to see another potential customer. I told them that I'd like to replace my old keyless remote, his response without even knowing what I had was, if this is an old alarm system we wouldn't have anything to fix it, you would have to buy an entire new system. Behind him I noticed Viper products and told him that's what I have, a Viper alarm. He said right after, Well we don't carry anything for what your trying to do. He said it so fast as if he didn't wanna deal with me. I asked how much for the entire alarm system was to put in, he goes on to tell me, no thanks man. I told him I don't know why your blowing me off, so your not going to tell me how much? After asking that a couple of times as I was leaving he tells me the price, I told him that's the problem, always up-selling. It's not about the little service to them, it's how much they can maximize out of each person. I know they could've reprogrammed the remote from a universal remote. After I told him about the up selling he mentioned, we'll maybe this is how I feel about most customers, wow. This is a stereo shop, I was thinking they wanted customers, ultimately they have poor customer service. I don't advise anyone to go to this shop. Sure he replies back trying to change the story and make it look like he's the victim. This guy probably gets calls all the time for bad service. Then he calls me a racist and bigot, I was the only minority in there. I'm not taking back how I felt and your business still sucks, you didn't politely say anything. Went to get tweeters for my vehicle and had gotten a quote, waited a reasonable amount of time (although it was windy) and once my vehicle was finished it sounded a bit the same, so I politely asked to see the installed tweeters. "Mr. Rude Mike" was so happy to provide his terrible service and not only complain about showing me but attempting to charge a fee to remove my dash so I can see what I purchased. Minutes later, Jimmy "The superman" came and used a screwdriver popped open the speaker screen and showed me in 3 seconds, literally! Had a recommendation from Amazon to install a rear view camera on a trailer. The original estimate was $165. But when I returned with the trailer to get the job done the installer looked over trailer. I told him I was going the easy route and only installing the camera. After watching numerous instructional videos on You Tube I observed that the camera needed to be connected to rear brake light. His response was nothing is easy. He then returned with a different estimate of $560 dollars. I explained that it was only attaching the camera. Which the original estimate including the monitor up front. He gave some lame excuse and stuck with the $560 estimate. I would not trust these people to install anything and be honest in their dealings with customer. Your dishonest response to my review speaks volumes regarding your customer service. I specifically explained to you all I wanted was to install just the rear camera. The system is wireless and all you needed to do was install the camera. I took it somewhere else and was charged $150. The reason the motorhome was there was to test the camera to see if I needed a signal booster. I stand by my review you are a very dishonest business. If anybody doubts the validity of how much work it takes to install the Haloview camera. You can look it up on YOUTUBE and decide for yourself if $560 is a fair price. I was so impressed with my experience with these guys. I came at a very busy time and couldn't drop it off and wait long. I was going to be trading in the car and had an appointment a couple hours out. I told them what I was doing and they bumped me to the front of the line and got it done really quickly. I tried it afterwards, and because of the installation done by Best Buy (which is where I purchased it) they didn't realize that the USB cable had been hidden and taped. Thankfully, they checked it out when I asked about it, and they fixed it in minutes. Plan on bringing back the radio and having it installed into a different vehicle. Will def. shop these guys. Came to Auto Stereo of Riverside a couple months ago. I wanted limo window tint on my car along with upgrading the stereo and speakers. My car had a stock Camaro radio system that didn't have very good Bluetooth. I wanted a touch screen and Bluetooth to play music from my iTunes and Spotify accounts. I purchased the Bluetooth and navigation touch screen unit for my car and I love it! It's great. Exactly what I wanted. The speakers I purchased to upgrade the stock ones are awesome!!! That sound is bumping in my Camaro now :) Yaaaaaaaaaaaaas. The sound box is kind of big and takes up a good amount of my trunk but it's definitely worth it. The window tint came out really good too! I love being protected from the suns UV and the heat. Love my vampy window tint and new dash for music and navigation. Customer service was decent at Auto Stereo if Riverside. I suggest that if you call ahead to get quotes on anything make sure you write down the price you are quoted because they may try to change it on you once you walk into the shop. Write it all down and ask about labor charge so you know what to expect on pricing. When I called over the phone was quoted something and it changed once I was in the shop. That was a little annoying. So protect yourself and wife it all down so they can't charge you more once you walk in. And get labor charge for each item! Because it seems to vary depending on what you want done. I think that might be the way they try to rip people off by not telling you labor fee and charging more than what it should for installation. But anyway overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase. A couple issues like the beeping noise, I took it back and had them fix it. They were nice about it and gladly fixed it. I also went back recently because the backup camera I had installed fell off lol So I went back and had them reinstall which they gladly did as well. So just a couple issues but they fixed the problems at no charge. If you're coming to get work done on your car I'd suggest having someone come pick you up or bring someone with you so you can leave because the showroom is small and they have a tiny spot for people to wait but it's not very comfy. read more

I have been here a few times. Services I had done by them: Door lock actuator replacement, alarm install, window tint, speaker install, amp & sub install. I bought a vehicle in which I slowly discovered was neglected by the previous owner from all the small issues I found with the car. I came to Auto Stereo of Riverside to have them check some issues I had with the alarm and door locks. They replaced the alarm as well as the lock actuators on both doors. They also installed front component speakers, a 5 ch. amp and a single 10" sub. A few months later one of the door lock actuators wasn't fully unlocking the door. I took it back there and they fixed it right away. They do good work and they are up front about pricing. The turnaround time they advised me of has been accurate. I have no reason to go anywhere else for stereo, tint, or security. read more

I had visited Auto Stereo of Riverside prior and asked about a quote for the installation of powered subwoofer, AudioControl LC7i sound processor/line out converter and a 4 channel amp for my door speakers. The two older gentleman there weren't comfortable giving me a quote and suggested I come back the next day and speak to Jimmy. I came back the next day and he quoted me more than I was hoping and when I called him out on charging so much extra for the LC7i when it is basically a glorified line out converter, he balked, saying because he could. I was even providing them with all the wiring harnesses and speedwire to expedite the install process. That's fine, it's your shop and your prerogative, but the attitude he gave me just isn't good customer service. I decided I just wanted to get my powered sub install, which is a very basic installation. I came back to Auto Stereo and again was met by the two older gentleman. I asked for a quote for just the powered sub install, but they said they were busy and asked me to come back the next day and speak to Jimmy again. I guess he's the owner. I had driven by the install bay on the way into the shop and it was empty. So on top of getting attitude by the owner previously, I was also lied to by the other guys. I guess they really didn't want my business. That's fine. I went to Auto Sound Pros and got a nice install completed within an hour. read more
