BUYER BEWARE: I scheduled an appointment with Vinny to discuss the installation of three amplifiers and a processor, as well as professional tuning to ensure optimal audio quality. During our meeting, he inspected my vehicle, spending about 45 minutes looking around, under seats, the trunk and coming up with a plan. Later that same day, he provided a detailed written proposal outlining the scope of work. (attached) After accepting the quote and leaving my vehicle with him for the weekend, I was informed--without any work having begun--that the price had suddenly more than doubled. Vinny said it's for a rack for the amplifiers. When I expressed concern, he further stated that he couldn't provide an exact cost until he began the work. He attempted to downplay his initial proposal as merely an "estimate," despite it being presented as a formal quote with a detailed plan. I've never worked with an owner--particularly one who claims to have four decades in the industry--who couldn't provide a project cost within a reasonable margin of 15-20%. To see the price double after receiving a written proposal is deeply concerning. When I voiced my frustration, Vinny offered no apology, instead referencing his customers have "open wallets" and boasting about a $90,000 project currently underway in his shop. If you're comfortable with vague pricing and shifting estimates, this shop may suit your needs. However, given the abundance of reputable alternatives, I strongly advise against choosing this business. My experience suggests a lack of transparency and reliability, which could result in significant wasted time and unexpected expenses. Back in the 80's and 90's I had several car stereos with amps and subwoofers I installed myself. I have never had anything professionally installed before. I recently purchased a 2024 Toyota Camry LE and with all these modern car stereos being integrated into the steering wheel and the touch screen head unit I didn't want to do the work myself even after watching countless YouTube videos. On my quest to find a local installer I read every Yelp review I could find for the Fairfield, Vacaville, Napa and surrounding area. After finding Audio Xperts and reading all their reviews I sent an email setting up my one on one appointment with Vinny. After going over all the install details we decided to add two amps, a subwoofer enclosure and a whole bunch of sound dampening in the trunk area. The amps that were chosen were an Alpine PXE-C80-88 which is an 8-channel sound processor and amplifier that is fantastic for running all the door and dash speakers. Another great thing about this amp is that they are able to tune the whole system in hours now versus taking days years ago. The second amp chosen was an Alpine R2-A75M and this amp was perfectly matched to my 12" sub enclosure. The sub enclosure we went with is an enclosure that Vinny's shop makes in-house. This specific sub enclosure is tuned and ported to 36 Hz and designed for a 12" subwoofer. We went with an Alpine 12" R-Series R2-W12D2 subwoofer and it sounds phenomenal. All the wiring from the battery to the two amps under my driver and passenger side seats was run so cleanly that you can't even tell there is an aftermarket stereo system in the car. These modern Class D amplifiers are now so small that they fit perfectly under my two front seats. They mounted the amplifiers so that all the wiring faces the front of the car. This way I don't run the risk of a passenger in the back seat inadvertently kicking the wiring with the toe of their foot. All the wiring, fuse blocks, RCA's, fuse holder, etc. are made by Stinger. We went with SoundSkins Pro Plus for sound dampening on the whole trunk area along with the trunk lid. They also stuck some sound deadening insulation in the wheel well area trying to remove as many rattles as possible. This made a HUGE difference in how well the whole system sounds overall. One of my favorite items on this whole build is having an Alpine remote bass knob RUX-KNOB.2 up by my left knee. This is perfect for being able to fine tune the bass to my exact liking. With these modern car stereos being so integrated into other portions of the car you have to be very careful with installing aftermarket stereo components. My whole system was done perfectly and I have had NO problems with any of my controls not working. The whole system has been flawless from front to back. At this time I haven't replaced my factory door and dash speakers. Vinny recommended keeping the factory speakers for a while since they were basically brand new and he could tune them via the Alpine 8-channel sound processor amp and his magic laptop. We did separate the dash speakers from the door speakers since Toyota powered one off of the other as a cost saving measure from the factory. This way the dash speakers could have their own power source directly from the amp and they could be tuned individually. In the future I'm going to have Vinny and his team replace the factory front door and dash speakers along with having sound dampening added to the doors to complete my system. Right now it sounds phenomenal just the way it is though. In closing I've had several co-workers, family members and relatives listen to my system and almost every single person has said it's the best sounding system they've ever heard. I've had several systems over the years that sounded good but were very bass heavy and weren't tuned. With these modern DSP amps that are tunable using microphones, software and a laptop they have taken what would be a good sounding system to phenomenal. Everything about this system is so well balanced that it just blows your mind with how great it sounds. They can now tune the delay for each speaker individually so they all reach your ear at the exact same time. This is some next level stuff. One last thing I'd like to mention is price. Vinny and his team are NOT cheap. There is the old saying of you get what you pay for though and I think this directly applies in this situation. If you are looking for the #1 car stereo installer and fabrication team in all of Solano county I would definitely give Vinny and his team a try. You will be very happy you did. Audio Xperts worked on my 2010 ZR1 and did exactly what was needed and did it well. Came in for a new wiring interface and was helped by Mark who was working double due to Vinny being sick. Overall the guys delivered mostly what I asked for without any damage to my vehicle which was a major concern for me. Vinny was completely ok with splitting up some of the light work so I can save money as this shop is NOT cheap! Do not come here thinking anything will cost under $500 for stereo or amp work, so if that price point scares you, move along. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because a lot of things I was promised by Mark didn't come to fruition as he was not there. Google drop file with photos of work performed, some trickle charge work where he mentioned they would hard wire battery maintainer wires to my battery so I can plug in seamlessly. All in for what I got it vs what I was promised 3 stars is fair, not overly great as it was essentially over $800 to get steering wheel stereo and phone controls with my aftermarket stereo and they pulled out a handful of extra wires that were no longer needed. On the positive, they met the deadline we agreed on while being short staffed. Mark put his best guy on the job, and it all works as it should. read more

If you have an old stereo from the 60's or 70's these are the guys who can bring it back to life. They prefer the silver-faced era to work on so I am not sure if they work on 80's and forward stereos. It's worth a call to find out! I wanted to buy a nice sounds system for my wife's Jeep - it's a 92 YJ Wrangler. Vinny worked up a quote, which wasn't cheap by any means, but this shop seemed to take quality very seriously, and that was appealing to me. It turned out great! I purchased a very expensive (~$2000) Zapco amplifier from this retailer. With less than an hour of usage its clear that it has a defect. Zapco makes great products, however nothing is perfect and there will be a defective product from time-to-time regardless of how good a manufacturer is. Immediately Vince pointed the finger at me, asking me to send my DSP file to him so he can review it. Also claiming that my install must be bad. As someone who has extensive experience in electronics repair I opened the amp and found a row of bad surface resistors. I have temporarily replaced the amp with another amp and have no issues with my install. Stay away from this business as they will not stand behind the products they sell once they have your money. read more

We had keyless entry installed in our new 2012 Nissan Versa, which we bought as a stripped commuter car. I was really sold on their sales pitch of we solder all of our connections and what seemed to be an expert installation. 5-years later, no solder connections have failed but 3 of 4 doors have FAILED at the mechanical connection to stock cable. No I didn't first contact Vince immediately upon the first failure, but did recently and was told that the manner in which the solenoids were connected to the stock cables was the only way to connect them. If I had been advised before installation that my factory cables would be cut in a manner that would permanently damage the cables (and you can't just change the cable, it's a whole assembly and to replace one is more expensive than the whole system I had installed) I would HAVE NEVER had these installed. If you are considering one of these Viper units thru a "preferred Viper dealer" I recommend that you ask questions! Vince has been very easy to get a hold of and we have emailed back and forth several times. He also invited me to have them looked at again "at an additional charge for repair" but I'd have to leave my car again for two days, which is longer than the original installation. I will post pics of the failure, but if anyone thinks that a little tinny tiny set screw will hold together a (once) solid cable that is now introduced to immense pressure from the solenoid door lock module, I really have to question your professional judgement. I'm certainly not saying don't shop here, just ask more questions than I did and don't assume they'll explain possible down-falls of the system to you. read more

The attention to detail between Audio Xperts and Best Buy are night and day. I got a Pioneer 4200 put in and a front and rear camera in my off-road Jeep Wrangler rig. Vince is a great dude. Despite some of the bad reviews I decided to give them a chance. I had Vince install a backup camera on my 2001F250, the price seemed a little high but after he showed me his car which has the camera, I was in and I love it. I installed the in dash myself and made some mistakes and Vince was kind enough not only to tell me about them but he also fixed them for me. A few months later my in-dash was coming lose, (my fault) and I took it back to Vince because I did not know why it was doing that, he and his installer came out to my truck fixed the problem and that was that. if you're looking for cheap and shitty stuff don't go here, these guys have won awards for a reason, their customer service is great the knowledge is exceptional and work is awesome. When I finished my 4 year contract from the United States Navy 2017, I was passed down a 1986 Cutlass Supreme from my grandpa that has been with my family since 1995. I immediately wanted to buy a really good alarm system to ensure that if it was stolen I would be able to track it down and get it back. I bought the most expensive venom alarm system Audio Xperts had to offer. It was $670 and then I bought the 3 year tracking app for another $300 overall spending over $1,000 dollars on this car alarm. After installation the faculty at Audio Xperts said they had to put the GPS tracker on the dash because there was no room to put it anywhere else. It completely does not make sense because someone can easily cut the wire from it instantly the moment they enter the car. I was upset but didn't want to make a big deal about it. Then after a few months it stopped working. It took me a while to bring it back because I live in Sacramento now but when I did to see what was the problem, they said it's because I had messed with the steering wheel which wasn't true and they were gonna charge me 44$ for labor for fix it. This is the worst place I ever went to for a car alarm and never will come here again. read more

This is a stereo shop for grown ups. I must admit, when I walked in and heard some prices, I was intimidated. I simply love music, so I went for it and sprung for quality. Alpine all around. It was NOT cheap by any stretch, but as my daddy always said, "you get what you pay for". The service took about 4 days, which is a pain, but they did a great job. I also had a viper alarm added to keep my new toys safe. A few months later, the alarm wasn't functioning correctly, so I took it back in. They booked me for an appt, fixed my alarm, fixed some settings on my stereo that made a huge difference in sound quality. Without asking, Vinny updated my head unit with the latest alpine updates. Now I can hands free text with Siri. When it was all done, I asked what the price would be? "Nothing, you're our customer". My dad's wise words again, popped in my head.
