I'm so glad I found this treasure of a store so close to home! I had to replace a 20-year-old high-end (Revel) subwoofer and they had the perfect units to not only replace it but improve upon it at a very modest cost. I was amazed at the wide range of equipment available, all organized by price range in five dedicated listening rooms. Sometimes they get deals from manufacturers that are truly stunning! Most recently I wanted to upgrade an old turntable and was able to try out units over a wide range of price points, until I tried an Technics SL-1200G (Grand Class) in the high-end room. Nice but expensive and very heavy (40 lbs). Nick G. walked me through all the various options and I ended up ordering the black-finish version (SL-1210G). When placing the order, Nick noted that he lived very near my house and offered to drop off the new unit once it was in stock and set-up. But a few days later I got a call that the unit was back-ordered and could take over a month to arrive. So he offered to drop off their demonstration unit at my house in the meantime! Three weeks later, the SL-1210G arrived and Nick took care of dropping off the new one and picking up their unit. Now that is amazing service! read more

I bought a new DAC to upgrade my digital front end. Audiolab was the only place that could get the unit to me in a timely fashion (tariffs?). The staff was friendly and we spent some time talking about audio in general. I used to review equipment so conversations about evaluating systems are always interesting. I am still burning in the DAC, so I am refraining from commenting on the performance. My previous DAC was from the same company, but so far I have noticed increased detail with the new piece compared to the old unit. read more

2 stars is Could've been better. Exactly. Their in-store experience might get good reviews, however, my online experience led me to a PayPal claim before they responded. I placed an online order and paid through PayPal. I received an email from PayPal confirming my payment, but nothing from the store. I didn't think much of it at the time. Well, you know how things slip through the cracks and it was a week later before I realized there had been no communication. So I went to their website and selected their online chat feature. Once connected, I typed in what I had ordered, the date and could they provide me with a tracking number. After about a minute an auto-reply said they were closed but, you know, they will get back to me. The next day I called the store during their normal business hours listened to the automated choices and selected customer service. The person was not available and was asked to leave a message. The same details that were provided in chat were given. You know the outcome by now. No one responded so I opened a claim with PayPal. The very next day I got an email saying they shipped my item and provided a tracking number. No apologies. Just like nothing happened. Obviously they have a management issue with determining who should be watching online customer orders, their chat feature and responding to voicemail. read more

I recently took a chance on AudioLab to purchase a high end AVR for my HT. I had decided to go with the Denon x8500HA. I made my purchase online and then received a unsolicited call from Nick, the sales manager. He explained the 8500 is being discontinued and recommended replacing it with the A10H. After giving me time to do my research on the A10H (as well as emailing me spec & data sheets), they allowed me to roll my purchase of the 8500 into a pre-order for the A10H. I could not be happier with the service I received, the thoughtfulness to inform me of a potential poor decision & an alternative that (in the end) will be a much better fit for my situation. I had decided to go with a 7.2.6 setup but now I can up that to a 7.4.6, which was truthfully what I wanted but made compromises with the wife. I'm writing about Audiolab Stereo & Video Center, Inc 2300 E Lincoln Hwy. Langhorne, PA 19047 and if there was something less than one star I would use it. If you expect customer service like Amazon here, forget it! Ordered Denon AVR-S540BT 5.2 Ch. 4K Ultra HD AV Receiver (Open Box) and after determining that it didn't work either with the optical cable nor with any of our components we had no choice than to send it back. But then customer svc (Laura) claimed now we have to sell it as an open box and they kept $115.00! WTF? It WAS an open box to begin with and clearly didn't work. This is the worst customer service I've encountered in a year of both good and bad and i'm warning you all to step away from this company like you'd step away from a dog turd on the sidewalk. Back to 2008 this company installed the movie theater in my house. Two years ago I got a problem with my equipment and I called them for the service. The manager Dale told me no time to do service, They are working with new contraction now and very busy . He said will call me back and never did. I made huge mistake to call them again 5 month ago. One speaker stopped to work . Tech came to my house and spent about few hours to find out a problem with the speaker. He couldn't. Took speaker with him and came back few weeks later to tell me that nothing wrong with it. He spent couple more hrs in my house again and after meeting over the phone with high professional manager Dale they came to conclusion that the problem with a processor and need to be send to repair center.In the same time Dale was trying to sell me new equipment. I was waiting for more then month to get the answer from them and decided to call Dale. He told me the unit came back from the repair center and nothing wrong with the processor. I went to their office and collect my device . The bottom line is if you want to avoid all problems and aggravation STAY AWAY from this company read more

I missed a sale on Crutchfield for a $1k Denon home theatre receiver on sale for $750. Crutchfield wouldn't budge on giving me the sale price even though I had missed the sale by only a few hours. I went online and read reviews for retailers and found that Audiolab had a great reputation. I read one review that mentioned they had bought from Audiolab off of Amazon. I checked their seller reviews on Amazon and found that they have over 4K reviews and are rated 100% positive. I contacted them via a live chat on their website. I told them I was trying to find someone to match a competitor sale price from last week. The individual was able to confirm the item was on sale last week and then told me to call the store and speak with sales. So I did, and they knocked $250 off the price and sold me the unit for $750. Within 2hrs I had received notification that it had shipped and would arrive in 2 days. I was very impressed with this place, they are an authorized Denon retailer which is important, excellent customer service, fast shipping- I'll definitely buy from them in the future. I purchased a system that was problematic even before I obtained it. They did not have speakers I ordered and it took several weeks to receive them. I had to go back to the store several times to get speakers I could have easily purchased online. Good reviews of this company are just dumb luck. If you don't have a problem, no problem but if you do you are S.O.L! The speakers failed, both! Bowers and Wilkens. I returned them to Audiolab under warranty for repair. That was nine months ago and still I do not have my speakers. They wont even respond to me. The manufacturer wont respond either. I have to go to court to get my money back. Hard to believe but true. Stay away from Audiolab and Bowers. read more

Absolutely horrible company I would not recommend them to anyone. I ordered a center channel on line Tuesday morning. Wait till Friday to call them since it had been 4 days with no tracking number or any contact letting me know what was going on with my order. I call Friday to receive the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was emailing the customer service manager to try to get my money back since 4 days to ship a package is ridiculous. The manager tried to make it my fault that I didn't want to wait for them to figure out how to ship a package. She proceeded to tell me I wasn't being reasonable and that I would be blocked from their website because I wanted a refund. This company has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I purchased a pair of headphones on Monday and the following morning a received an email stating that the package was pending shipment. It is now Friday, and no word about my package. I have emailed, called and live chatted with them and no information-just attitude. They blame this on the pandemic. They can't tell me if the item shipped or if it is even in stock. Their answer was "I don't know." I requested to cancel the order and was told that the package may have gone out. This was yesterday afternoon, and today when checking the status, they don't even answer their live chat. What a horrible company. The salesman helped me sort through all the options and pick out a pair of Bose headphones that work great. There were some great promotions going on so I also picked up a turntable that will make a great Christmas present. While I was there I was treated to an impressive demonstration of Atmos technology. Do not trust these guys. On November 29, 2019, I purchased a Marantz PM-6006 integrated amplifier. Because they didn't have another one in stock, they offer to sell me the floor model for a 15% discount. They could not locate the remote control for the floor unit, but promised to order one from Marantz and send it to me within a week.They also indicated on my invoice that they owned me a remote. A week passed, no remote. I called. "It's on the way." Two weeks passed. No remote. Called again. This time, no call back. I've now called six times and I have never received a call back or an answer or a remote for this unit. David, the owner, is deceptive and indifferent to customers and is not a man of his word. Avoid this store; stick to Amazon. Places like this are why brick and mortar is dying. He doesn't deserve your business. read more

After several months of research on my own and trying components that didn't seem to live up to online reviews, I ended up speaking to Nick at length over the audiolab website chat. He ended up recommending a brand of speakers that wasn't even on my radar (GoldenEar), aren't particularly new, and have very little hype online around them. He explained why he recommended them, what I could find online confirmed what he said, so I gave them a try along with an amp and a dac he recommended in conjunction. Flipping between my current setup and the GoldenEars was quite the experience -- there wasn't much of a comparison. I got the impression that Nick was working with me simply to achieve the audio experience I was chasing, understanding that if he oversold anything he just wouldn't retain me as a customer. His advice ended up being spot on, and I'm very happy with the setup he pointed me towards. I wouldn't have ever ended up going this direction if I was putting together a system for myself based on online reviews and recommendations. read more

I recently purchased new bookshelf speakers from Audiolab and I can't say enough about the outstanding service and excellent price (or how fantastic my speakers sound). In addition, I was pleasantly surprised to see the speakers were shipped double boxed, just one more step by Audiolab to ensure my purchase arrived safe and "sound" (pun intended... LOL), with no shipping damage, something I believe all customers secretly fear when ordering on-line (or by phone as was my case). When I called Audiolab to ask some questions prior to purchasing, I was treated just like a customer wants to be treated. Lauren was so helpful in every way I needed that it felt like I was in the store talking to her face-to-face, rather than 300 miles away talking to her on the phone. Audiolab (and Lauren's) service has been so outstanding, that in the future, I will look to Audiolab for any future audio/video purchases before looking elsewhere. Even their location in Fairless Hills, PA, makes for better on-line ordering (at least for me) since we are both located on the Eastern side of the USA, with me living in Massachusetts (approx 30-35 miles north of Boston) instead of them being located on the Western side of the USA.
