A friend and I decided to meet here for lunch and catch up. It's a fairly spacious place that gets about 10 - 15 guests during the lunch hour. Unfortunately, there was only one waitress who was also the host which was a bit difficult for getting attention when needed but she made it work for the most part. Food was quite tasty and i got some spicy sauce on the side to kick it up a notch.

Nice service and interior, servant is very friendly. Korean cuisines and side dishes are authentic and delicious

August Moon is a very well-decorated place. We are impressed by its classy vibe and the whole restaurant looks very clean. Food and service are both decent. The only reason for giving it four stars instead of five is its price--I find it a little pricy. My Stone Bibimbap is $18-it's mainly rice with a little bit meat and vegetables on top; my husband's chicken Katsu is $26; with one soda and tip, we walked out with a bill of $60. It's not overly expensive, but within this price range, there are many options for sure.

Dined here for lunch on the 14th of March, 2023. Parking: a private lot Atmosphere: open and bright with cool Asian figurines. Service: April was very helpful. Cocktail: cosmopolitan. It was good. Food: 1. Edemmame. You can't go wrong with these, so I enjoyed them. 2. A tuna roll, I think, with avocado. It was ok. The roll was falling apart, and that's never good. 3. Spring rolls. They were fried just right and crispy. I would have liked a dipping sauce. 4. A seafood combo bowl with shrimp and mussels and served in a bowl that came out sizzle hot like fajitas. I believe there was other seafood, but I can't remember. I wasn't a fan of how it came in that sizzling bowl because it made the rice a little hard. The flavor level was low. Overall, the experience was ok. I will come back to try something different.

Absolutely fantastic experience and food every single time. We ordered: Mandoo soup (no picture) Miso soup (no picture) Polar bear roll (no picture) Godzilla roll Seafood teriyaki Stone bowl bibimbap (seafood) Soon doo boo (vegan) Pork gui Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and I tried everything and it was all fantastic. The service is top notch and the restaurant is family owned and operated. If you're looking for authentic Korean food and high quality sushi outside of the city--this is your spot. Also, easy parking in the lot and a short distance from the norristown transportation center. Full bar including sake as well as a comfortable atmosphere.

Food was ok. Service was decent and the ambiance was good. The food was a little too pricey for what we got and the bibimbop was more rice than actual meat in it.

Everything is so fresh and good . Though I usually get the same thing everytime . Been coming here with my family for years now. Service is always great, and it's nice enough for a quiet date night .

Really enjoyed this place. I don't try much of Japanese restaurants but tried Octopus for the first time. The young octopus starter did not disappoint me. California roll sushi n sake was enjoyable too. The bibimbapp with so many sides like sushi, cucumber etc etc is my recommended choice of entree!!

Stopped in for a mid-week late lunch at the redesigned August Moon. While I was the only customer around 2pm, I am sure the service would have been just as friendly and efficient. I started with a seafood pa chun (pajeon), courtesy of a Yelp checkin. It was freshly make with large pieces of squid, shrimp and scallions. Next, I wanted to try the sashimi as I am always looking for good sushi places in the Burbs. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of Tuna, Salmon, Fluke and Macekrel. In fact, I got the first cut of the Tuna and the fish was so fresh, it could give Bluefin a run for its money. I am eager to go back and try more sushi to ensure consistency. The price for my lunch Sashimi plater was just $9 for 12 or more pieces. I also got some Bul Go Gi to go which I had for dinner. Was not blown away by it, but that could be because it was sitting in the container for a bit. As a nice bonus, the decor (including bathrooms) was nice and Morinoto like and super clean. Will be back to try more Sushi and Korean BBQ.

There is a kiosk to order, but after asking if we could get the sauce on the side, he just rang us up himself. It is surprisingly spacious inside, so we opted to eat there. It was a very hot day, and the gentleman told us it's cooler toward the back; so that's where we sat. The food is made to order, so there was a little bit of a wait, but it was worth it for the hot, fresh, and tasty wings we got! The quality of the chicken itself was outstanding -- crispy on the outside, perfectly cooked on the inside, and nicely seasoned throughout. We enjoyed them with and without the sauces. The Spicy Garlic and Red Hot are both fairly spicy, but not unbearable. They don't have complimentary water, so bring your own or plan to buy a drink if you're dining in. It was pretty quiet while we were there, with a few customers just stopping in for their pickup orders. The same guy helped everyone, and remained friendly and professional. We were so glad we stopped in. I hope they stick around because we would both like to go back!

Love that this place was very home-styled, comfy, and more dimly lit for a more intimate dining experience. We came here for BBQ, and the meat didn't disappoint. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 3/5 Service - 5/5 Food - 4/5 Parking - Private Parking Lot Atmosphere - The restaurant is nothing special and decorated very minimally. What We Ordered - Steamed Egg - which was good Tofu Stew - which was good Beef Tartar - which was very good Pork Belly - which was okay Galbi and Marinated Galbi - which were very good Final Thoughts - The food is solid, but the prices are quite high compared to other Korean restaurants I have been to that offer similar quality. Our meal also included steamed egg, corn cheese, and doenjang and kimchi jjigaes, which did not fall short, either. Our waiters were extremely attentive and accommodating! Our original reservation was scheduled for 8:30 PM and our plans changed, so we wanted to come in earlier. The staff did their very best on a packed night and were able to get us in at 7:30 PM and made sure to call us to let us know. We had a waiter grilling at all times, so our food was ready quickly. We felt a bit rushed to clear things out, but otherwise, a really great experience!

If you've been to an Hmart, BornGa is basically the Hmart food court but its own independent restaurant, and that's not a bad thing. The menu is mostly made up of Korean soups and noodles, and I got myself a seolleongtang (ox bone soup). Really good among the seolleongtangs I've had, with a soothing beef flavor, a good amount of boneless meat that was easy to eat, and surprisingly some noodles in the soup along with the usual cup of rice. You do have to add salt as is usual for this dish, and there is a jar on every table. The highlight though was perhaps the only non-soup/noodle dish, the tonkatsu. My partner got it and it was HUGE, literally the size of your face. Perfectly crispy with a really nice sauce, no notes on the katsu itself. We did wish it came with more rice and the side salad, as the portions of those felt too small compared to the enormous katsu. However, there is complimentary and UNLIMITED kimchi (both the usual cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi) that you can serve yourself from a fridge, which is a great accompaniment to any meal. Just be reasonable and considerate with it, I'd hate for them to take it away because someone ruins it for the rest of us. Both dishes along with plenty of kimchi were incredibly filling, and every dish on the menu is a flat $16.99 (plus since it's counter-serve, no pressure to tip). All in all, BornGa is not the kind of Korean place that gives you a whole royal spread of banchan or piles of meat from the grill. But it's a great spot if you know what you're getting into - casual but affordable Korean comfort food.
