This is the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. When she was about halfway finished…read morewith doing my nails, I noticed that my thumbnail was extremely uneven. She attempted to fix it, but it never worked. After she finished my nails, I realized that my middle finger nail was extremely crooked. I asked her nicely if she would fix the nail. Her "fix" was to file that nail and the nails around it to make them seem even, which did not work at all. This actually made the nails next to it uneven as well. I kept asking her to stop because it was not helping, but she continued to try. She reluctantly drilled my nail and tried to fix it. I am not a professional, but I have done my own nails for years, and I know that the best way to remove an acrylic nail is to file the top layers and soak them in acetone. She did not soak my nail or even take off the plastic part. She placed a new fake nail on top of the old one and built off of that. Since she did not remove the nail underneath, it was still uneven. I eventually gave up because she did not seem like she was going to do anything else to fix it and she wanted to get to her next appointment that was waiting. That same evening, three nails became extremely loose and are barely hanging on. Considering it was $72, I expected a service that would reflect that price but was left highly disappointed. I will never go back there again.

During shaping, she was gentle and precise. I told her I didn't want that typical "hump" many salons build into acrylics. I prefer a more natural look and she absolutely nailed it. These are the most natural-looking acrylics I've ever had, and I've visited a lot of salons. My only concern was sanitation. Lili did nick me a couple of times while filing, and I didn't notice any tools being sanitized or individually wrapped the way they usually are in NY salons. The nail file also didn't appear to be disposable, although it looked fairly new. It didn't affect my overall experience, but it did make me a bit nervous simply because I'm used to stricter hygiene practices. (Update: its been a few days and the cuts have not gotten worse. She treated them when she noticed them, so thats probably why) That said, I watched several other customers come in during my visit, and everyone seemed genuinely happy and well cared for. From start to finish, the entire experience was truly wonderful. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff. Misa introduced herself and showed me all the colors I could choose from for my pedi. The seating area is not a regular seat like at a nail salon. It felt like a queen's throne! It was wide, cushy, and had enough space to put my purse, phone and items. What really stood out to me was Misa's attention to detail and genuine care for my well-being. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire experience and even provided tips and recommendations. I recently moved to the area so it was helpful to learn about her experience as a mom of a middle schooler and activities through the parks and rec programs.
