i called augusta about doing my yard. they sent their estimater we went over the whole yard. they gave me an estimate to: install new lawn 1)use track loader to grade out existing base 2) no debris will be haul away,just covered with topsoil 3) install 16 yards of topsoil and grass seed with fertilizer 4) due to summer heat, water is crucial to lawn filling back in .total price $ 2075. i thought the price was high but i wanted a professional job so i agreed. when i came home after they were done they didn't cover the debris the raked it up and piled it in the neighbors yard they seeded about 10 feet in to the neighbors yard they didn't seed my whole yard. when i contacted them they came out and told me the estimater was wrong and that they couldn't cover the debris they were sorry about piling it up in the neighbors yard and that they didn't know i wanted the rest of my lawn done so they came back and cleaned most of the rubbish off the neighbors part and threw seed on the rest of mine . i watered my yard every morning and every evening the grass grew in a couple of spots but never the whole yard i ask if maybe they used old seed of course the said it needed more water . i ended up going to the hardware store and buying more seed and seeded it my self it did grow in . . their final bill was $2255.53 i agreed to pay them $ 500 a month every month they sent me a bill and i sent them a check when it was down to the final 255.53 they never sent the final bill so i thought they felt bad about all the mistakes and ate the rest of the bill there final payment was in oct 2018. today feb 13 2019 i get a bill from them saying we have not heard from you your remaining balance $255.53 our next step is sending this account to collections. please remit payment as soon as possible . i contacted them and told them what happened with the final bill they said sorry but please send the final check . i'm sending them their check but i will never use them or recommend to any body. they have very good looking equipment but no knowledge on how to use it. good company to stay away from.. read more

Mike and his crews were all that you would hope for and more in doing our two-phase and unique job - clearing, grading, filling an overgrown garden/shrub area in a bit of a narrow side yard, and then more grading, smoothing, two layers of rock and timbers for a full-sized bocce court! The guys were all pleasant, timely, respectful workers who treated the job and how their work might affect neighbors (noise, dust, gravel,tight property lines, etc) very professionally. Mike checked in multiple times each day and handled some of the tougher details himself, and all of the guys were communicative about whatever task they were on, and asked questions if they had any rather than just trudge ahead guessing. They were generous with time if the day's checklist wasn't finished (especially the very first day), doing little extras if asked (can you yank that root ball and move those big rocks? kind-of-things), running to get unplanned materials (extra soil, some hardware, etc) without bumping up the costs. Liz at the office is communicative and efficient, and works late in the evening and early in the morning if there are things needed. They ain't exactly cheap (though I admit that our job was not a common one, so who can really judge?), but when you get the right work done, and they go the extra steps if needed, then you can't expect to pay bargain basement prices. A neighbor who is very detailed with her landscaping initially recommended them, and her job was tough work that came out great, as well. We highly recommend and would/will use them again. read more

I used to be a property manager in Bellingham prior to moving a year and a half ago. During that time we had a large tree project that needed to be done. Our water retention and water drainage systems were 10 years without maintenance and the City of Bellingham required that they be completely cleared out. I received 3 estimates from local tree and landscape companies. Augusta was the cheapest by $4000. (Total project was $6000)... The whole team at Augusta was courteous and efficient. They chipped up the trees and hauled away about 40 yards of debris. The city inspector said it was one of the best jobs he had seen that season for the water retention ponds he inspects. Because of their work, we cancelled our landscape maintained contract we had with another company and started using Augusta to blow off parking lot, mow, weed, trim shrubs, etc... we were not disappointed and since then I have passed their info along to many other property managers. This company is continuing to prove very trustworthy. I have had several projects completed by this team of professionals.. Since my last review. Not only do they do my regular lawn cutting, which continues to be immaculate, done with much pride in the quality of the job, they also have done many projects at my request, including a refreshing of mulch, a complete new construction landscaping, which included a full design, brick walk way, building of burms, and all the plantings. Their communication on every detail has been outstanding and each worker has been courtesy and extremely hard working. I always appreciated the communication I had with Mike and the greenskeepers at Augusta. Mike is a young man that is very friendly and well-mannered. They were cheaper than the other lawn estimates I received and have really exceeded all my expectations. I have a vacation home, and it is so nice to know they are keeping an eye on things while I am away. I have had several lawn companies service my yard in the past 5 years. This past spring I called Mike at Augusta Lawn Care. He was very pleasant on the phone and was very personable when he came to meet me at my home. The price for lawn service is fair but what really makes Augusta stand out is their professionalism. All the crew members have very neat white caddy uniforms that say "greenskeeper" on the back. All their trucks and trailer have beautiful signage and the monthly billing system is painless and efficient. Hands down, the best lawn service in Whatcom County! Mike and his crew did a landscaping/tree service job for me earlier this year. Mike is very knowledgeable and is good at working within a specific budget. I am very picky but Mike and his helpers made sure I was 100% satisfied before they left. They go the extra mile and even cut down my neighbors tree limbs that had big caterpillar nests.
