I finally decide to call and they tell me the pistons i brought need to be replaced. I would have gladly bought new pistons if i would have known but noone called. The man on the phone says "i dont know who you talked to but we dont install used parts". I reply "i talked to you and you could have told me that when i dropped everything off". When i get there nothing is ready. Crank is not installed, no piston rings, no rod bearings, no main bearings. They cleaned my parts ground my valve seats and diddnt put anything together. I got boxes of loose engine parts and they charged me $663!! Are you kidding me? What kind of mickey mouse operation gives you a dixie cup with your valve keepers upside down in a box of loose parts??

They'll tell you what they are capable of and if it something outside of their expertise they will refer you to someone who is. All of the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you have something in need of machine work or need engine parts check with these guys first. They'll be up front with you and if you decide to have them do the work they'll give it their 100%.

I canceled my other appointment, I showed up Monday only to be told that they couldn't do it and don't know when it could be done by. Even better I ended up with a screw in my tire from going over there, now I have to get my brakes/rotors done AND now my tires fixed... I left this shop with more work needed than I went in for... Don't tell me you can do something then make up excuses when I show up. YOU told me to be there, I showed up and YOU failed.

I had a 6R80 rebuilt here in late October 2022, the owner said he was going to do a preformance…read morebuild, with a Billet Torque converter, well that was a whole lot of horse shit, they lost a bolt on my starter, the transmission went out again loosing 4,5,6th gear 2 1/2 months later, I sent it back to South Carolina to warranty the work I was hoping some common courtesy and getting something reimbursed for the Haul up there, I was "ready" February 7th, I drove it 2 weeks 2,1000 miles later and it goes out again, I called to see how can they help me as the truck is back in Texas I called multiple times they said they will talk to the "Boss" & call me back and the sorry SOB now won't even answer my calls now ! I forgot to mention they changed my transmission coolant hoses without asking me, they used regular rubber hoses, which get eaten up by the coolant, Definitely poor craftsmanship probably using cheap parts, & poor professionalism, wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone,

That's when I turned to Yelp! After calling around the area for varying estimates and getting the song and dance that usually goes with repair shops, I decided to give Mike a call at First Choice. He was friendly and able to give me a ballpark estimate, but didn't promise anything until inspecting the vehicle. After inspecting the vehicle, he was able to diagnose the problem and then ordered the correct part. No pushy up-selling or scare tactics either. Before I knew it, my car was repaired and I was ready to get back on the road and back to work. I felt that I also paid a more than fair price for the repairs as well. Hands down I'd recommend Mike for any repairs that you may need for your vehicle. I'll make sure I call him first before considering elsewhere.

I've concluded that the price was cheap only to be told by the receptionist a week later they don't charge for diagnostic. BEWARE! As a small business owner myself I would never not charge for my time, even if I'm only looking at the situation.If they don't valve their time to look at your vehicle or any equipment then what is their incentive to give you an honest and thorough report, which they also did not due. They didn't even take my name and number down. When Enrique is out, nobody has a clue what is going on and you can hear the shop commotion in the background while they talk to you over speaker phone. We took our car in on a Monday and were told the parts would be in on Saturday and to call back on the following Monday. The following Monday came around and we didn't hear back. I then called back on Tuesday and they said they couldn't find the parts locally. Tried to offer more money for shipping or even after-market parts. No luck. Then when I requested the part numbers because I find material for my business in the oddest places, but they couldn't tell me the part numbers because Enrique Is sick! I started to wonder what they were doing with it, maybe they lost it. When they finally said it was ready, there was a large fresh ketchup spill inside. The other car was damaged by them multiple times, they twice tried to return it to us unfinished. It was so bad, they put the door on crooked so it hit the door behind it. Every time we asked them to fix the big scratch they caused or the broken door they put on, we felt like we were begging for extras. They had also driven it a lot, they put way more miles on it than they told us about. Very untrustworthy, we are not happy with the work they did but there's no way we're taking it back to them.
