Starter is rude and told me I had to double up with a random. Not a big deal to me but then I look behind my group and see 4 carts. I would not have cared so much if he wasn't so rude. Then the beverage cart only came around once. Over all bad service. read more

Left my wallet in the cart by accident with $100 in it. Came back to get it the next day and the money was stolen out of the wallet. Guy working in the pro shop when I called this morning said that there's money in it, and when I came to pick it up the money is gone. No workers owned up to it and said there's nothing they could do about it. Someone stole my money with no accountability. Terrible staff with no integrity. read more

We met some friends here for a round of golf. They live on the course and golf it frequently. The clubhouse and restaurant all look rather new and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most people golfing on the course are locals so there are lots of souped-up privately owned golf carts. Course was flat and wide open. Rough was brown grass and easily hit-able. Only 2 holes have water but lots and lots and lots of sand. Greens were in good shape, very fast but fair pin placement. The signature hole is an island green, about 75 yds from the forward tees. Very cool and only hole I lost a ball on (just about 3 inches short). We went to the restaurant after our round for some cocktails and chips and salsa, which were all good. Since I live down the street in Queen Creek now. I able to try this place out finally. Decided to leave work early on Friday, we all do that! Had a tee time at 2:00. Arrived early asked If I can get an earlier time, they moved me up an 1/2 hour with no hesitation. Pro shop looked fully stocked, unfortunately the snack bar had a sign up saying they would return shortly. However I couldn't wait, luckily I bumped into the beverage cart on the second hole. They recently reseeded the course. So it was cart path only. Sounds easy enough, however it seems like all my shots were on the opposite end from the cart path? So yes I walked a lot today. Fairways are in good shape, greens are a little slow. Give the greens another week or so and should bee good. I had no one in front of me or in back of me. Did a 3-1/2 hour round. I really had a great time, and will come back again. read more

Very Disappointed....have not played Poston Butte in several years but today had a friend as my guest play there.....in the past this course was always in pristine condition....unfortunately, the course has deteriorated in conditioning and more than doubled the green fee....the greens were hardly green and bumpy and like hardpan.....fairways were OK but not like the past.....sand traps were loaded with sand but not buffed so they were also like hitting off hard pan...the cups on the greens showed wear with bumps....looks like the course is more interested in making money than providing a quality golf experience...April 30, 2025 read more

With very well maintained surfaces (tee boxes, fairways and greens), good views, nicely contoured fairways, some reasonably challenging bunkers and other hazards, Poston Butte reminds me quite a bit of SaddleBrooke Ranch, which is a good thing as the course provides a very good experience. Throw in a scenic island hole, the 17th, and a very friendly staff and you've definitely got a winner. My brother and I agree that it's a course we will play again. Highly recommended if you're somewhere between Phoenix and Tucson and looking for a good course to play. read more

It's been a few years since my last posting for the Poston Butte Golf club. Very happy nothing has changed much still receiving excellent customer service and for the month of August. The greens and Fairway are very well-maintained. This is still my number one place to book a tee time as well as to invite out of town guest to play at this location. Best course in the area. read more

Great golf course and staff, Very polite staff and professional service. The greens are very fast Challenging course... After playing, time for a quick lunch, my friends sat down and were promptly served drinks, My wife and I sat down, menus were brought out,... and that was it??? Had to go to the bar for service Had to get someone to take our order, incomplete order no spoons for the soup, soggy bottom on the sandwich, mushy When I brought this to the attention of the server, just walked away??? Golf course is decent, staff is terrible. Pro shop doesn't say hi and makes you feel as if they're doing you a favor when you have to drive all the way to Florence to play here. Starter is a complete jerk. Threatened to not allow me to tee off unless I was on the tee box ten minutes early and yelled at me for 5 minutes straight while I hit a few range balls. Troon should be embarrassed to have this as a property. I guess it's tough to get quality staff in a town only known for having a prison but heck it's not hard to smile and make people feel welcome. Chic-fil-a employees do it and they make way less than these fools do. read more

Bomb course! This course is very well maintained. Several tee boxes to mix it up. I like fast greens that roll true.

Been playing this golf course for the last 20+ years. The course is absolutely trashed. I have never seen this course in this bad condition ever. Fairways got burned and dried out, they're just mud & dirt. The greens were plugged over 4 weeks ago and they are terrible because they did not properly plug and sand the greens. Sand must have been expensive. The greens are pitted and just horrific. Unfortunately, I will never be back to this track. It used to be the valley's secret course and always in immaculate shape. I just cannot get over that this is a "Troon" managed course.! read more

This course shouldn't be a part of the Troon name. Greens weren't cut well, bunkers were hard as a rock (filled with rocks) and lacking sand. We had a 1:15pm tee time and there was no cart person out to serve on the course. Overall a disappointing experience that isn't expected when you go to a Troon course. read more

Greens were decent, but the club clientele was awful. Shop associate was very nice as well as the beer cart employees, but Marshall's kept rushing us off the course. For the price, we should be able to play our pace. Twice we were told (group of four) to hurry our pace, but let two groups of two play ahead of us. We were at a time of less than 4 hours of golf, and golfed the whole 18. Very unpleasant experience for our first time golfing this course. read more

Great food and staff. We were seated right away and brought water and a menu. Food was taste and fresh. The sweet potato fries were a little well done for my taste. I recommend the chips and salsa with caso. read more

Great condition, courteous staff. This is a very nice course, no gimmick holes, everything is right in front of you. The greens were in great shape and fast but they are different, I don't know how to explain it but they feel like artificial greens, and very hard to pick the break. I'll be back. read more

The golf was ok despite the wind. There are no trees and the area is quite the dustbowl. We could barely see at times due to the blowing dust. Until the area is built up more, I recommend staying away due to all the dust. I ate lunch at the snack bar/resturaunt and couldn't believe the poor service. Overpriced food and terrible service made a bad day worse. read more
