Had a nice lunch with a friend. First time to Northport and it's a nice town. The restaurant is small, maybe 20-25 person capacity, but the food was tasty. Brussel Sprouts in General Tso sauce was a nice starter - not too spicy. Tuna and Shrimp tacos, a Harbor Spritz and a Bloody Mary made for a great lunch. Great first experience. Came here on a weekday for a late lunch so the restaurant was quiet, service was good. Very impressed with the menu items I ordered. The New England Clam Chowder absolutely earns its place as an award winning soup. The baked clams were perfectly cooked in a delicious lemon butter sauce. I always love to come to this place in the summer because it's the vibe is casual, perfect for grabbing a bite to eat and walking the town of Northport. I always get the poke tuna nachos. Those are a fan favorite. The thick chick sandwich is a big piece of chicken and loaded with flavor in the sauce, onions and pickles. The pasta was a nice size and loaded with flavor. The burrata burger was a nice size, although it's more of a fork and knife burger, since it's open face with no top bun. Drinks were good (no pics provided). This place looked very nice so we sat at the bar for some cocktails. The bartender seemed annoyed, I figured she was busy and overwhelmed. We ordered a spicy margarita and a Paloma, the margarita was missing the rim and the drinks weren't that great. We were never check on because the staff disappeared and the bar was left attended and they came back about 10-15 mins later with ice cream and sat in the corner to eat it. I had to walk over to where they were sitting to ask for the check. They have a small/medium indoor seating area as well as out door seating. Service was very prompt & friendly. The drinks and food came quickly after. I had a strawberry mojito (8/10) & voodoo steak tacos (7/10) I subbed the jalapeno cheese for regular. Everything was great but I wasn't into the tortilla, it kept falling apart. Went on a Wednesday night. Party of four. Needed to ask for our waiter. Waited forever for our drinks to arrive. Could not hear anyone at our table because of the room's high volume and terrible accoustics. Everyone in the restaurant had to scream to communicate. Bar guests arrive to find limited space so thought it was OK for him stand double deep with his ass against our table. Had to get out of there quickly before things escalated. Terrible managment. This was our second time here, but it had been awhile since we visited. We made a last minute reservation and they were so accommodating. We had two very small kids with us and they didn't miss a beat. Our server Mark was terrific. He recommended the Mac n Cheese for our toddler and he was correct. It is now my favorite Mac n Cheese on Long Island. The combination of cheeses as well as the semi burned cheese on top was out of this world. I didn't know I was missing that on Mac n cheese, but now that I have had this one, it's going to be hard to top it. I had the Brown Sugar Spiced Salmon. Mark mentioned it was new and one of his favorites. I have to agree it was really good. The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The veggies and rice were excellent with it too. I think next time I will ask for light teriyaki sauce as it tends to be a little too salty for me. I left nothing behind which is rare for me. Be sure to make reservations if you want to sit inside! I got a coin shortage and my friend got a salted passionfruit margarita. Both drinks were very good. We learned they have a mixologist on staff, and it's clear that their expertise really shines through. For starters, we got lawbsta fries, calamari arribiata, and asian brussel sprouts. For our entree we got lobster rolls with fries. My favorite thing from here were the Lawbsta fries, which had butter-poached lobster, truffled créme, melted cheese curds, sour cream, applewood-smoked bacon, and scallions on fries. There was a generous amount of lobster and bacon with the perfect amount of cheese. Our server, Lauren, truly made the evening special with her exceptional service. Throughout the evening, Lauren was incredibly attentive, making sure our glasses were always full and checking in just enough to ensure we had everything we needed. This is a quaint little restaurant and a good lunch spot if you are in Northport. It is off the water so the views are lovely even on a cold winters day. We stopped in for lunch and the place was a little busy which I take as a good sign. It is rather small with a nice looking bar and a few tables. Our waiter was friendly and quickly brought over some water. Our order came in a reasonable amount of time. We started with Brussel sprouts cooked in a balsamic sauce that was rather tasty. My only criticism is that it was a bit too oily. I did enjoy my Shrimp Tempura Tacos. There were two tacos each with one shrimp. The corn, pineapple and red cabbage sat on top of a double tortilla that had some cheese in between. It was flavorful but a bit messy as most tacos tend to be. My children both had the Chicken sandwich served on a chibatta roll. There was Quacamole, tomato but no bacon as the description had stated. That was a bit disappointing. The fries well well cooked and the taste of truffles was quite evident. If I ever return to the area I can not say I would definitely return. We got our food relatively fast. I got the Shaved Brussels Sprouts & Kale Caesar Salad. It was delicious, full of cheese, both in the dressing and shavings. So good. The hubby got the Thick Chicken Sandwich which he said was good, not great but good. The spicy sauce was good. The chicken, considering it was a thigh, should have been a bit juicier.
