This place is a little hidden gem in Kings park. The food is absolutely delicious. The menu is extensive and prices are fair Growing up on home cooked Cuban food this centro American but also Mexican and southern American cuisine is one of my favorite local finds. Super Authentic and 10/10 would recommend Usually I get the pork and cheese pupusa (which is like a flour tortilla filled with pork and melted cheese). I love the steak and onions it comes with a small salad and rice and beans. I tried the veggie soup instead of Chicken today bc I had so much they were kind enough to give me half an order. Had a great time popping in after my daughter's dance class the other week for a quick and nice dinner. They offer a huge menu offering everything from tacos and burritos to pupusas and Mexican dishes. The prices are very reasonable as well!! We tried some tacos, a steak burrito, a mixed papusa (pork, beans and cheese), and a quesadilla. Everything came out quick and was hot! Service was great, quick to be seated, quick to get our drinks and quick to hand the check when we were finished. Huge selection of food! Really enjoyed everything we ordered... chicken fajitas, carne asada and a bean quesadilla. For extra side we ordered maduros (deep fried sweet plantain). The staff were very friendly and service was very good. This was about the fifth time we've visited and enjoyed the other times just as much. My waitress was scared of me, my card got declined, but it was all good. I ordered the Birria tacos and my day was made, alongside the mighty buffalo wings. Let me tell you these wings are so good. Considering it's a Mexican food place this place has great wings and I heard about them underrated. The birria tacos are so good I savored every bite. The green verde sauce was so good and the meat sauce but I must say not a fan personally of the red spicy sauce that came with the tacos but all good can't like everything. I got a water drink which worked well with my meal perfectly. I went to get out of the seat to let my friend out to the bathroom at the same time our waiter came by and crashed into me slightly, she screamed "narghhhhh" ‍ it was all good though. What a night of fun games and food I really enjoyed my experience at Mi Pueblo with our amazing waiter I forgot her name though which is too sad. Quick stop on my way to Sunken Meadow for a hill hike. Thought to picnic in the park on this lovely day. No pictures as I found my 3 tacos were wrapped in foil. I had the lenqua, spicy beef, and the pastor on soft corn tacos. Wolfed them down, but remember each one was absolutely delicious. We were by Kings Park heading home and felt like having Mexican food. Stopped by this place which has free parking in the back. Walking in, it is quite a big place and spacious. The decor is decent and doesn't really scream Mexican theme decor. Now onto the food. Wow the menu is pages long with tons of dishes offered. It reminds me of a typical diner where it has over 100 items. So menu wise can be a tad overwhelming to go through. We had the fried calamari to start. That was a dismal dish as even though we knew it would be frozen calamari, all the pieces were uniform in shape like a small rubber band. It was a bit too over fried and just flat out was not worth it. For entree, I had the fried fish burrito bowl for $13. That was actually pretty good and suggestion is to go easy on the mayo and the dish had too much rice, and they should have put some lettuce as a topping. But taste wise, it worked. My wife had the shrimp fajita dish $19 which came with small portion of rice, guacamole, beans, sour cream etc. She asked for corn tortilla instead which actually was homemade so that was a nice touch. Overall, she enjoyed the dish and just the right portion. For drinks, I had a frozen margarita and wished they put in a bit more alcohol and given the small size, I was a bit shocked it was $11 for it. That aside, this is a decent place and I would give them a high 3 stars. read more

What an excellent Mexican Restaurant. Came here for dinner with friends and was not disappointed. The ambiance is both pleasant and casual. The menu choices are extensive. The meals are well prepared and delicious. The presentation appealing and the staff and service are first rate. Pricing is good and there is street parking and also a parking lot behind the building. So my son reminded me about his place. I never left a rating . Our ratings are our own experiences. They all differ...good bad indifferent. So I've been here a few times like 3-4 years ago. I had a pleasant experience most times. Except this one time. I was there with a friend. I am vegan ..so is a lot of people no biggie I ordered beans rice guacamole all plant based. A taco 2 I think..When I began eating it it was covered with lettuce But I began to see some yellow cheese a oh no!! I specifically said NO CHEESE , so ok she replaced it But when we paid and walked away went home I checked out the bill... and was charged for 3 tacos when I ordered 2 plant based tacos.. the 3rd one wasn't correct .. so I went back. ..she did credit me but took the cheese one which by the way I could have given It to one of my kids No big deal but after all I had to go through also going back too... ok this is my experience not a good one and also I was asking for weeks to speak to the owner who happened to never be there...smh...so if you see I live by the principle...an unwritten rule of behavior...yea yea I know....I HAVE NEVER BEEN BACK. When this place opened a few years back, I thought the worst. As the decades strolled by, the names and resources changed. Auto parts. Pizza. Frozen yoghurt, and a plethora of garbage I never relegated to the annals of long term memory. Mi Pueblo was destined to surpass decades of poor choices from day one, yet no one would immediately know. From the moment I set foot inside- perhaps a week or two after their opening, I could feel something else. The space was overly large, and they barely filled it with their tables- there were remnants of the yoghurt joint. A barely begun bar. As I became a regular, I told people from queens about the joint- they came out. The reputation grew to the point that people travelled from their Latin neighbourhoods on a regular basis from an hour away to have a true El Salvadoran treat. As for the ethnic food, there is not a single thing which is bad. Their homemade red sauce is some of the best I've ever had. The tacos. Oh my, the tacos. Get the Al Pastor. Get the Mi Pueblo. Get them all, dammit. Don't ever go there and not try the Churrasco once. There's some Witchery going on in that meat. It is my favourite meal- it was the. First thing I had there. I cannot speak highly enough of everything - their hen soup is a go to if I'm feeling under the weather- perks ya right back to Mean MotherF- Status. I can go on about it all- the sauce on the shrimp- the perfectly cooked thin grilled chicken. The Horchata. Everything is homemade. Everything is authentic. The food. The drinks. The sauces. The staff. I hope to see you guys there in 10 years. I'm looking forward to your next seasonal special as well. It's a pity that I have moved away out of state - but I'll visit. read more

My granddaughters made a mistake & ordered from 95 Pulaski Road Kings Park 11754 Mi Pueblo. Thought they were ordering from Del Fuego 17-18 Hewitt Square East Northport right off of Pulaski Road. Innocent mistake as they are not from Kings Park. They ordered very simple tradition items, Tacos Quesadilla, Rice & Beans. All items were unidentifiable. Never saw grease on hard taco shells, orange chicken or beef. Plus where was the lettuce & cheese on the tacos. Why did the Quesadilla have same chicken no cheese in a small ball in center that made it look like an unfilled ravioli. All who saw food reacted same way. All whom ate got instant stomach ache & feeling worse next day. $40.00 and all threw remainder which was most in garbage. 95 Pulaski Road Kings Park NY has been many things over the years, which have all failed. I discovered this place quite by accident and I'm so glad I did because it is now one of my favorite lunch spots in the cold weather. Some background: I love soup, but most restaurants serve soup as a "starter," and not as an actual meal. The soups at Mi Pueblo are most definitely a MEAL. That seems to be true of most of the Latin American restaurants I've patronized on Long Island but Mi Pueblo stands out amongst them all so far. The first time I came here, I ordered the Mondongo. I'm familiar with the Dominican version of this tripe soup but Mi Pueblo's interpretation (I'm assuming Salvadoran?) is a bit more fiery than the Dominican variety. Not SUPER hot, but definitely puts a tingle on your tongue. As I was leaving, my waitress said I had to try their seafood soup (sopa de mariscos) next. So, on my next visit, that's exactly what I had. And getting a bit ahead of myself, this was my FAVORITE soup. A creamy but zesty soup base loaded with shrimp, squid, clams, mussels and half a Maine lobster! Again, as I was leaving, I was told to try the beef soup next. So, on my next visit, I ordered the beef soup (sopa de res). A rich, beefy broth and very filling I had a hard time keeping my eyes open when I got back to the office that afternoon. I mentioned to my waitress that I'd had the mondongo, seafood and beef soups so she told me to try the chicken on the next visit. When I did manage to get back a couple of weeks later, the chicken soup (sopa de gallina) was exactly what I ordered. This was more "Chicken AND soup" as it was a quarter roasted chicken served with a big bowl of hearty vegetable soup. I tore the chicken apart with my hands and added the meat to the soup (I don't think this is the traditional way to do it, but it's the way *I* did it) before eating. I recommended this place to a friend on Facebook. She tried the sopa de mariscos and declared it her new "favorite restaurant." It doesn't look like much from outside but give it a try. It's WONDERFUL. Looking at their online menu, there is apparently a "shrimp soup" that I've yet to try. They also have taco specials on Tuesday but I haven't yet had all of their soups so that'll have to wait. read more
