I am so disappointed in this restaurant. My family went out to celebrate a birthday & wanted good Mexican food, so came here. Since it's Cinco de Mayo we were informed when we got there that there is a $10 donation per person today, which we complied with. We then walked further in notifying the waitress we needed a seat for a car seat and were then told that they do not accommodate children. Absolutely insane & we obviously left. SO DISAPPOINTED. I live around the area and have gone here five times now. On Wednesday nights, they have Team Trivia and it's a lot of fun! Randy, the host, is super energetic and awesome - def gets the crowd going. The homemade tortilla chips are A M A Z I N G. They are complimentary so make sure you grab some! Most of the time I've gone, I got the spinach & chicken enchiladas. It is pretty good and definitely my go-to. I've had their original margaritas as well and I gotta say that it's worth the price. Parking is very convenient. Overpriced, service was good. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We went there with 14 people they couldn't separate the checks. Already added gratuity which I get. We have about 5 different cards with the name and total written in back of the check so they knew how much for each person. Somehow they got two people swapped one amount was over $100 and other was $40 they ended up getting each others. Tried getting it fixed and in the end each person ended up paying about $40 over on there check when the gratuity was already taken care of. I ordered a taco salad it was basically All lettuce and tomatoes with 6pieces of chicken and some black beans when I asked for refried. I was disappointed because it was for my wife's birthday and everyone over paid. This one at least I don't recommend. read more

We stumbled on this place since it was within walking distance to our Hilton Squaw Peak hotel. Wow! What a find! The patio alone is worth seeing. Absolutely gorgeous! I hate writing bad reviews but the food here was the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Nothing tasted good here. The service we had was amazing. I can't complain about service at all. We went for a late lunch on a weekday so it wasn't packed at all. Our server was very attentive and everyone greeted us with a hello and bye when we left. They give you waters right away and chips and salsa. The salsa was very different from the typical salsa you would get at a Mexican restaurant. It had no flavor, weird texture, and olives in it which just didn't mix well at all. My daughter got the nachos which came with very little what look like melted shredded cheese. So it turned hard and there was a small hair on the cheese. We exchanged it for a kids bean and cheese. The burritos are $8 each and are smaller than my kids hands. I ordered the tostadas and it had no flavor. The chicken was dry and they put that same melted cheese on it which doesn't go well. There was no sauce on the tostadas and I found it very hard to eat. Their rice was also different than your typical Spanish or Mexican rice. It was like a mix of both but the flavor was bland and lacking flavor. None of us were happy with our meals and this place is very over priced for the quality. The atmosphere outside is very pretty and would be nice to get a drink maybe. We took our mom that has been cooped up for the last year to Aunt Chiladas because she wanted Mexican food and needed to get out of the house for awhile. We were all VERY disappointed. The food was mediocre for the high price, and $34 for a pitcher of house margaritas is ridiculous!! Our 2yr old wouldn't even eat his cheese quesadilla because it came out burnt. The outside bar was stinky and filthy. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the ambiance outside. Not sure I will ever be back. There are much better Mexican restaurants out there. read more

If you're still reading, the steak fajitas were a dry burnt brisket meat that was rough to chew and had little flavor. The queso was watery and added nothing to their mixed corn and flour chips. Well, on the day before Christmas and with eight day until January 1, 2021 (c'mon 2021!!,) I'm going to have to play Santa with "naughty" or "nice" on these next eight reviews! NICE! so very nice for so very long and so very festive all the year long. LOVE their patio especially and though I haven't been here in a little while - like all this year, given the covidia and since I've been in other parts of town... I SO look forward again to my next visit here. (I'd begun writing a "is that place still there" series and this would fall into that category for me since it was about fifteen years ago that this was one of my regular after work watering holes and we'd really enjoy happy hour on the gorgeous patio.) It was always busy given it's location (near resort) as well as office buildings and because it's great! Service kept up with the crowd too, so no complaints there. The chips and salsa are delicious, as are the margaritas. (On the rocks with salt, the only way to go in my book.) Sometimes (oftentimes!) we only have visited to partake of patio, chips, salsa, and margarita. I've gone to Aunt Chiladas a few times for team trivia (I love team trivia, and this place is more convenient for my friends) on wednesday nights. Randy, the host, is great: funny with generally good diction and pronunciation. His personality and the easy parking are what keep me coming back. The tables are small, so it gets a little cramped. The waitresses are nice, but they don't come around often. I get that it gets busy, but it's not THAT busy. The food is perfectly average, definitely more expensive than its worth. I usually get the seafood quesadilla, although the jalapeño steak fajitas are also pretty good. I will say I like their chips though. They're not for everyone, but they are for me! read more

Every time I hung up the phone I told my husband "she is the best"! I was in hospitality most of my early career and my co host is in the restaurant business. Not impresssed. This place use to be my FAVORITE restaurant in the valley, but in the last few years it's gone more and more downhill. We came in around 11:45AM for lunch. We were seated quickly, but the service was extremely slow. It almost appeared that the waitress was the only one on staff inside, which is not fair to her considering how large the interior is. The food also took 30-45 minutes to come out. Our drinks only get refilled once despite them being empty. The only thing that was prompt was the chips and salsa being refilled. The prices are extremely on the high side for what the food is. $15.50 for three street tacos is ridiculous. I would skip this place next time it rolls onto your mind. I came here for book club meeting. I got the fish tacos and some strawberry margarita. Everyone in my table loved the chips. I felt weird because even though they were great the texture felt weird to me but they were homemade chips so maybe because I've never had homemade. I did enjoy the salsa and my fish tacos did taste amazing. My margarita was good but I had to spend like five minutes stirring the syrup as all the strawberries was on the bottom. That part did annoy me as I don't know why you couldn't just mix the strawberry in with the tequila. Now we sat outside and I want to say at some point a butterfly got into our salsa and passed away. I don't blame the restaurant as we were outside and bugs happen. But I did feel bad for the butterfly. Our waitress was really friendly really nice took really good care of us. Located within minutes from the Hilton. Came on two occasions, which gave us a chance to compare foods/drinks. The chicken fajitas (served on a sizzling plate with all of the usual side dishes) were better than the jalapeno/steak fajitas (served in a bowl without sour cream). The frozen house margarita was better than the premium one, which tasted watery. The free chips and salsa to begin the meal were great and the refried beans better than I've had elsewhere. Another hidden gem of Mexican food. We were staying at the Hilton right down the street and my son and I were craving some yummy Mexican food. The chips are to die for. They are a mix of both flour and corn tortilla chips and the salsa is just so unique and fresh. They have a great menu selection of all different types of entrées along with a great kids menu which is always a bonus because I have a 7 month who eats whatever I'm eating and a nine-year-old. I ordered the shrimp fajitas so much flavor and very fresh. My son ate quesadilla chips guacamole rice beans.. also he got a hot fudge sundae that was bigger than his face. We live out in Glendale and I definitely will meet at the half hour drive plus just to come up here again because it was that delish. read more

Our server visited our table maybe three times the whole meal. Our food took so long to come out. They sat us outside but then told us their heaters were out of propane ?? So we were freezing and then when our food finally came out after 30 min it got cold almost as soon as it touched the table.
