First time at The Gladly (and any of their In Good Spirits spots) and it was such a fun experience! We stopped in for AZ Restaurant Week and tried the three-course menu. Drinks: Strawberry Moon + Bourbon Zombie. Both super yummy and on the sweeter side. Course 1: Tuscan Kale Potato Soup was so flavorful, and my fave. The burrata was fine, just not super memorable. Course 2: Pork Chop + Coffee Rubbed Short Ribs. I'm not a pork chop fan, but my bf liked it. The short ribs stole the show!! Paired perfectly with the maple mashed sweet potato (which I did NOT want to share lol). Course 3: Chocolate Torte + Blueberry Bread Pudding. Both were good, but the bread pudding definitely won. The vibe was dark & moody with candles, lots of windows for daytime light, and a spacious patio. Parking was easy with validation, which is always a win. Service was kind but a little off, and the food took longer than expected, but worth the wait. Overall, I'd totally come back, especially for those short ribs and potatoes.

This was our first time here last evening. From the moment we got to the door it was opened for us and the staff was so welcoming. Seated us to our reservation quickly and got our drink order shortly thereafter. Quite a selection of alcohol and non based beverages. I believe it is part of a restaurant group but showed up as unique. The ambiance is cool. We ordered the Cobb salad, house salad, HH shrimp cocktail (ample) sea bass, salmon and the spicy shrimp. Everything was delicious and hot when served. The sauce on the spicy shrimp had some ancho flavor but not too hot. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes were amazingly creamy. The sea bass was tender and the creamy sauce enhanced the flavor. I could go on about the sourdough bread to start and everything in between, but I think you get it. Enjoy!

Last week I went to The Galdly with some friends for a going away party and had a great time! We had an amazing server who joked with us but also gave us some great recommendations and described every dish perfectly. The service and ambiance is perfect for any occasion from a birthday dinner to a fancy date night. To start we got the crudo which was very tender and topped with a delicious cucumber salad. I could've eaten multiple plates of this appetizer! The spinach dip was also the best I have ever had, I would go back just for this side. My herb crusted chicken was served on top of a Parmesan mushroom risotto that was rich but not too filling, perfect for a side with the chicken. The chicken was juicy and cooked just right, an all around amazing dish.

Stopped by Gladly in Phoenix and was really impressed! The chopped salad was super unique and refreshing -- definitely not your typical salad. I tried it with smoked salmon, which was good, but in hindsight, I probably would've gone with chicken instead. The standout dish was the grilled chicken with mushroom risotto -- absolutely to die for. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Easily the highlight of the night. The vibes throughout the evening were laid-back but classy, and the Thai margarita was the perfect cocktail to tie it all together. Just the right balance of sweet and spicy. Knocking off one star only because of the smoked salmon pairing not quite hitting the mark, but otherwise, I'd absolutely recommend and return!

    It's the small touches.

Had dinner at The Gladly to celebrate my birthday, and it was wonderful. My friend and I were treated exceptionally well, and the team even surprised me with a birthday dessert. As always, the food was delicious and the service was gracious. A lovely experience from start to finish

RAN to leave a review and not because of the food (although food was amazing) but because of our server, Chris!!! He was the most high vibe, friendly, knowledgeable, and so patient (our group was very ADHD lol)!!!! Made amazing drink recs, which were truly some of the best cocktails I've had in the area, and the OG AZ salad lived up the hype. 10/10 experience all around! Can't wait to see Chris again we love you

As a food critic from Chicagoland area-- The Gladly | Phoenix's Biltmore neighborhood Overall, it was fine. Not bad, just not memorable. The space is pleasant enough, but nothing about the atmosphere truly stood out or justified the reputation. The burrata was a miss, especially at $20. Nearly flavorless, and the portioning made it worse. A large piece of burrata was served with just two slices of bread for two people. Realistically, you need at least four slices to enjoy the appetizer properly. Running out of bread halfway through a dish breaks the flow and feels careless at this price point. The steak was good in flavor but came out undercooked compared to the temperature requested. While it was corrected, the delay meant waiting while the rest of the table moved on. The issue was handled operationally, but not proactively from a hospitality standpoint. No acknowledgment was offered until it was brought up later, which felt like a miss. Service otherwise was attentive and kind, and our server did a solid job throughout. Dessert was the highlight. An ice cream cake is a rarity these days, and it delivered. Rich, nostalgic, and genuinely enjoyable. Easily the best part of the meal and worth noting. Cocktails were where things really fell short for me. The espresso martini was on draft and made with cold brew, not even real espresso. This is a hard no. Any martini or cocktail that is pre mixed loses freshness and intention. An espresso martini should involve a freshly pulled shot and a proper shake. Draft versions simply do not deliver the same experience. To their credit, the manager did step in and provided a $25 gift card for their restaurant group, which was appreciated. Still, the overall experience felt reactive rather than instinctively hospitable. In a market as competitive as the Valley, this one does not rise above the pack. Not bad, just not special, and ultimately not a place I feel compelled to return to. Ratings Food: 7/10 Cocktails: 6/10 Service: 8.5/10 Ambiance: 6.0/10 Overall: 7.0/10 Welcome to the table

Well crafted menu with options of seafood, chicken, and beef. Each appetizer was a good portion, but the halibut ceviche was the clear winner. A perfect savory taste that I would order every time. We also had the noble bread, spinach artichoke dip, and shrimp. Our waitress recommended the salmon as her favorite. Three in my party ordered that and cleaned their plates in an instant, easily creating trust to order dessert. I had the short ribs, which came with a knife unneeded. They were tender and flavorful. The service was great all around. They staff acts a family with at least five or six helping make sure that our party of five was taken care of. I also received great service at the bar prior to our meal. Definitely a favorite spot in the Biltmore area!

First time at the Gladly for a weekday meeting with friend. Happy to see easy parking and was impressed with the facility. Large covered outside dining or you can sit in the upscale indoor dining space. Was looking forward to trying the Cactus Cubana, however, missed the fine print that said it is only served Friday and Saturday. Server recommended a ham and cheese that had a cactus aioli. I ordered Brussel sprouts as a side. Food was good, service was excellent. Hard to rate the food based upon one ham sandwich. Definitely will be back.

There are a few restaurants that I like more than the Gladly. This restaurant has amazing service, amazing food, and a great vibe. I always get their famous salad. I don't know what it is about it, but the sweetness with salty with all the ingredients just make it absolutely delicious. Their appetizers for happy hour are a great way to try some fun things on the menu. This time we ended our meal with a peanut butter pie, which was very delish!

Chef's Week Night 1 @thegladly Cue the stretchy pants! It's that time of the year again humans, where culinary titans from AZ and beyond are slanging dishes and menus like they're upgraded with GTA cheat codes, and I just roam this open land like a hungry gremlin after midnight. Check it out! Porcini Parmesan Crusted Pork Short Ribs - Brown Butter Sage Whipped Potatoes, Roasted Baby Carrots and Fig Mostarda. Best thing I ate there! Wester Rosh Scottish Salmon - Mashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, Saffron Beurre Blanc and Crispy Fried Capers. Delish! Burrata - Pistachio Romesco Verde, and Rosted Tomatoes. Great app. The Original chopped Salad - Smoked Salmon, Couscous, Arugula, Pepitas, Asiago Cheese, Currants, Super Sweet Corn, Marinated Tomatoes and a Buttermilk Herb Dressing. Legit for real. Blueberry Bread Pudding - Blueberry Compote, Buttermilk Crème Anglaise, White Chocolate Poppy Crunch and Vanilla Bean Whip. Really good. Dark Cherry Chocolate Dutch Baby - Topped with Whipped Dulce de Leche. Just as good. Get your booties on the food dance floor and go check out these chefs! Enjoy my friends.

We went during restaurant week. They have two options $44 and $55, 3 course meal. Service was great. The Chopped salad was a winner. I never had smoked salmon with my chopped salad. It had right crunchy bits with sweet nuggets. Just what you want in a salad. We had the short rib on the $55 menu and my companion had the salmon on the $44 menu. Both were good, however, we both were baffled by the sauces. It was sad because the proteins were cooked perfectly on the dishes, but the sauces could have been better. The desserts were good. I had a German chocolate cake and my companion had the banana bread pudding. They were good. It is a lively place, more for socializing. Overall, it is a solid choice to eat at.

Is the restaurant loud? I get so annoyed with all the loud restaurants in Phoenix. I want to have nice conversations while dining. Not shouting at each other.…

It's average, not whisper quiet. I could participate in a conversation with everyone at the table. My understanding of "loud" will probably vary from yours, however anyone shouting would feel out of place here.

Are they owned by the same as Citizen Public House?

Hi Julie! Yes indeed. We are run and operated by IGS Hospitality which is known for The Gladly, Citizen Public House and Benjamin’s!

    Hi Christine, Yes of course!

Is happy hour only at the bar?

Absolutely not! It's throughout the restaurant. We've enjoyed New Years Eve here, as well as many Happy Hours, and even their private party room for our daughters wedding. Stellar place!

Do you have to pay for the private dinner room?

This place was the lclosest thing to the elevator so I peaked in through the window and it looked like a laid back bar restaurant. The cozy, intimate comfort of what used to be Coup des Tartes blended seamlessly with the deep, peaceful, gentle "love" you felt from House of Tricks into one calm, warm, easy spot. Farish House is a real, soul-warming experience across the board. The service, care, comfort, ambience, food, value and clear love they put into everything make Farish House our new favorite place. We walked through the front gate, up onto the front porch and inside where we took one of three small tables in the cozy front salon of this soul-warming 1899 French Bistro. *Food: we started with a bottle of Australian Cab. Shockingly good. And not crazy expensive, especially on Thursday when bottles are 30% off, it was an amazing deal. Turns out, the owner, Greg, was in the wine distribution business for several decades, curating wine programs for top Valley restaurants, so he really knows his stuff and their vast wine selection is amazing. We were offered a basket of truffle popcorn, mmm, salty, crunchy, and rich. We ordered the Chef's Selection Charcuterie and Warm Noble Baguette & Marinated Olives to get started. Both were beautifully curated, balanced, and incredibly high quality. The flavors and textures blended perfectly. with cheeses broken from large wheels, rather than cut and sliced, house-made pickled grapes, unique and unusual ingredients, smokey meats, compound butters, just awesome! We then moved into one of the cozy dining rooms and ordered the slow roasted Peposo Short Ribs and fingerling potatoes pan fried in duck fat served with Moroccan spiced aioli. Both were rich, warm and delicious. For dessert, and yes we thought we'd explode from all this food, we ordered a massive slice of bread pudding, some of the best I've ever had, rich, gooey and incredible. Along with that we ordered a beautiful Espresso Martini and an off-menu banana cream martini. Their drinks are not "poured" or mixed here, they're balanced and expertly crafted. This is French Bistro comfort food at its finest and it's unmistakeable. *Service: it just doesn't get better. Everyone working there is "family". And that's how they make you feel; like family, cared for, wanted, welcomed. Service isn't a choreographed masterpiece, no tuxedos, cloths draped over arms, napkins frantically re-folded when you step away, dishes served and cleared in unison. No, it's relaxed, warm, friendly, kind, like being at your grandmothers house and knowing you're surrounded by people who care. Met Greg and Katherine, the owners, and their daughter Alexandra and several other "family" members taking care of us. Their appreciation for your presence is unmistakable. *Ambience: it's just plain comfy, cozy, easy, relaxed, warm, deep, gentle, worn (in a good way), wise, and calm, that's the best I can describe it. Hard wood floors, cozy rooms, soft, warm lighting. It's a non-pretentious, French bistro that feels like the home of a favorite grandma or great aunt living in a warm family cottage in the outskirts of Paris. *Value: it's perfect. It's not ridiculously expensive like Kai, Brinkley's, Cafe Monarch, Christopher's, or French Laundry where you go, "okay, that was fun but we'll only do this very occasionally/rarely and it's probably worth it, but dang that was pricey!" No, Farish House is 100% value to experience, not cheap, but not overpriced, the balance is just right. It's a place you can go often, and we will. Yes, our meal with apps, drinks and dessert, some on happy hour and the Thursday wine special, was around $200. I'd happily say this experience was worth every penny. *Overall: I can't recommend Farish House highly enough. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot, and that's a downtown thing. There's a small lot in back. The food, ambience, service, quality, and experience were stellar. I wish I could rate them 6 stars instead of just 5. I'll return often and highly recommend Farish House to everyone. I genuinely hope you enjoy as much as we did!

I was lucky enough to have both of the owners (Kathryn and Greg) come by and greet us. This bottle (pictured below) of Pinot Noir was suggested to us, and we decided to have with our meals since our chosen dishes were beef and pork. One of the best wines I have had recently. We had the stuffed date appetizers which were devoured so quickly I did not have a chance to snap a pho My friend chose the beef short rib dish, which was well presented and extremely flavorful.
