Wondering where to go for lunch? We chose Aunt Jenny's Country Buffet. And boy are we glad we did! The buffet had the best chicken we've ever had! I filled my plate with Lima beans, cabbage, rice, a biscuit and gravy, and the best pickled beets I've had in a long time. So if you are in southeastern Mississippi, go to Aunt Jenny's!

I'm giving this place 3 Stars because my husband talked me into it- he liked the fried chicken. And to be honest, I guess it deserves 3 stars. They just didn't happen to have anything I really liked. And the things I thought I might like; not the case. It was very busy and seems to be a local "hot spot". It was basically like a cafeteria. Actually, it was exactly like a cafeteria. I'm sure they change it up from day to day. I thought it was very strange that the main dishes were a choice of meatloaf, fried chicken or baked chicken and there were no potatoes offered at all. This is one of those places that I have nothing good to say about- but it may be great for someone else. Give it a try. It's definitely not my cup of tea- today anyway.

Fried fish & chicken were awesome today!!

We hate crowds more though and some days We just didn't want to rush. We ate here multiple x because it was right in our hotel. Was the food as great as The Toasted Yolk? nope Was it good enough to start a slow morning yep!! The servings are big, the food while nothing fancy is adequate to start your day, the place is not crowded and in a tourist town that's a plus right there. My favorite was just a simple fruit plate with yogurt and granola. Don't forget the Moscato:) The grits were good too!! Hubbie got the biscuits and gravy with sausage and my son pancakes. We also ate supper there one night I got the mushroom burger sans bun , my hubbie the catfish platter, and my son the Philly cheesesteak. The waitresses were nice and worked hard. Would I come again yes! Would I make a special trip here no! If you are staying at the Palace though and don't want to traipse to places for breakfast or Supper. Give this place a chance ! But they are a bit anal about you sitting the proper way -saw them get on a guy cause he moved his chair . It's not that serious Stacked . Otherwise it's a good enough place to eat a standard, filling breakfast

From the moment we were seated, she carried herself with such grace, warmth, and attentiveness that the entire dining experience felt elevated beyond simply enjoying a meal. Rebecca possesses that rare gift of hospitality that cannot be taught -- the ability to make every guest feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for. She moved through the room with poise and confidence, anticipating needs before they were spoken and offering recommendations with such knowledge and enthusiasm that every choice felt perfect. The food itself was outstanding, rich with flavor and beautifully prepared, but it was Rebecca's kindness, professionalism, and radiant spirit that truly transformed the evening into something memorable. In a world where excellent service can sometimes feel rare, she reminded us what true hospitality looks like. She was attentive and even packed my Togo box going above and beyond in my Perspective. If you visit The Rack House, do yourself a favor and ask for Rebecca. She is an absolute jewel and a shining reflection of excellence in customer service for the restaurant.

It's been pretty bad the last two years in a row so this year we decided to try the owner's other restaurant! The Rack House looked very nice upon entry (other than some very dusty barrels which happened to be located right next to our table) and they were playing pleasant ambient music at the perfect volume. We were promptly seated and it didn't take long for our server to get drinks started for us! Most of us ordered waters, but my Mom ordered an extra dirty martini that unfortunately came out as being way more alcohol-heavy than she normally likes, but she didn't bring it up to our waiter. We got the sticky ribs as an appetizer, which the whole table agreed were VERY good. Our waiter was very polite and attentive and brought some free rolls and a variety of butters for us to try as well! My mom ordered the chicken Alfredo pasta while my dad ordered a steak. The pasta was good, but wasn't anything super special for the $23 price tag on it, and sadly my dad's steak came out very gristly and overdone. We told our waiter about the issue and he was quick to take it back to the kitchen to have a new steak made. While we were waiting, multiple managers (or at least what I can only assume were managers) apologized to us about the issue and assured us the new steak would be out soon. Our waiter--accompanied by one of the managers--brought the new steak out, and they waited to make sure it was cooked correctly this time as my dad cut into it. The second steak was an improvement, but it still wasn't very good. My dad didn't want to make a fuss about it and said it was alright. When our check came we were pleasantly surprised to see that they had comped the steak for us. Overall, it was a fairly good experience. The food wasn't terrible, and when there was a mistake the staff was more than happy to correct it. It seems like the people who run the place really do prioritize the guest experience and want people to be happy with the food they're paying for! I'm hoping it's just an unfortunate coincidence that their food just didn't measure up to the price tag this time, but it's difficult to say with only having visited once.

Now, I can handle just about anything from Waffle House to Another Broken Egg, but listen, quit scrolling, and head over to Julwin's Restaurant. From the coffee to the biscuit and everything in between, you can tell that those folks in the back know how to cook breakfast. My wife ordered the Western omelet, and opted for the Spinach. I know we didn't take three sips of coffee before our food came out piping hot and fresh off the griddle! The eggs were perfect as were the hash browns. I like my biscuit as dessert, and I'm happy to say I was not disappointed. Guys, we'll be back. There's no question Julian is on our must see list on our next trip to Fairhope.
