The sign was a little too nice and looks like it had been there for too long. The bartender couldn't make a Manhattan. Her attempt at a lemon drop was Ridiculous. Chilled vodka and lemon juice does not lemon drop make. Food was OK. Come to find out they closed a few days after our visit. At least we won't have to worry about going back.

Owned and operated by Bavarian natives, the restaurant has been serving up authentic German/Bavarian food and culture since 1998! So this menu has a lot more than your typical German-American biergarten offerings. We went for a couple of their specialties - Sauerbraten (sour beef) and Goulash - which were both fantastic. My husband enjoyed a German beer (he always loves a German Hefeweizen), and I had Gluehwein (red wine served warming and steeped with warming spices). Everything tasted great, but it was also just a wonderful place to enjoy a meal: music (an accordionist played throughout our meal), children dancing to the music, classic German decor (including some Christmas touches), and great service! I'd be happy to return. In fact, I look forward to it!

Even though it's a small operation, this pretzel shop truly brings joy to our community. They also offer delicious breakfast sandwiches, pretzel dogs, and various tea and coffee options. I was lucky to get all three of my pretzels from the oven. I especially like how the cinnamon sugar pretzel is topped with icing instead of dust--it's much easier to eat and still gives you that sweet, satisfying treat. The staff are quick and friendly. If they're baking a flavor, they'll let you know how long you'll need to wait for that fresh batch. There's plenty of seating, both inside and outside on picnic tables, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy.

Craving a good pretzel and The Pretzel Bakery has been on my To Go pre-COVID. SO and I arrived…read moreabout 1.5 hour after opening and they were busy. Lots of patrons were picking up take-away and the in-person ordering line moved quickly. Definitely kid friendly with plenty in-door and out-door seating. We placed our order and waited to be called over the PA system. I'm not sure why they call you based on the items you ordered rather then the receipt number, but such is life. The breakfast pretzel was served room temperature, eggs were not to my liking, but good flavor from the bacon and cheese. The pretzel itself self was dry and kinda flavorless. The salted pretzel had a soft interior and crusty exterior with nice salt flakes but didn't live up to my expectations. The pub cheese was a welcome purchase to polish off the pretzel. The sweet pretzel was the best from our order. Pretzel was still dry but the cinnamon sweet topping made the top enjoyable.

I love a good hot dog, I don't care why they're made of, you can never make me hate hot dogs. And when I want a good hot dog that I know is gonna be amazing every time, I'm gonna get the pretzel dog. So here I was on a Saturday night and I smell that delicious pretzel dough, I hadn't eaten like all day so I got 3 pretzel dogs. I was full after 2 and just stashed the 3rd in my coat pocket because it was wrapped in foil and who's gonna know ?? Right, right. So I probably went to like 3 more bars after that. Got home, crashed. Woke up and was like "why is there a hot dog in my pocket?" And did I eat it? Yes I did and it was still delicious. Truly an ode to yet another fun night in fells. Not to mention the service is always friendly and fast. It's so convenient and it's right in the heart of the little square area. So it's always there if you need a little pick me up while hitting the bars or checking out some of the local shops, or even just sitting by the water and enjoying the weather. It's simple and it's yummy.
