This is a terrible place. I witnessed two female workers smoking something in the back room. No food was available either. AWFUL service

The owner, Mat is doing his Oma and mom (Bo) proud, and I bet this place is especially in the summer when the food is not the same old options up and down the Pewaukee shoreline. With outdoor service and seating in warmer weather, and now a cute little indoor dining room, I am glad I took the time to stop for dinner. We tried the chicken and pork schnitzel, both bunless; the Curry Wurst; Pretzel bites; Spätzle; Oma's Potato Salad; and Sprecher's Root Beer, of course. However, beer is also on the menu, along with other options. The menu is not huge, but if you like or want to try true German dishes, stop in. The pricing is fair, and the owner is very nice. They use the all-natural Wisconsin Gold Tallow for cooking, and I just learned about it and how it makes dishes so tasty. And it is even great for facials!

I had several pork schnitzels with mushroom sauce and spatzel. Excellent taste and proportions. I enjoyed it immensely. They had some excellent German beer choice and I went with a Hefeweizen. The beers came pretty fast as well as the curds. They were hot and fresh and I just love the ranch dipping sauce at this place. It's amazing! We waited about 30 mins to order food. When we did it was 6:40pm and we ordered 1 meal to split. We ordered the sliders with fries. It took over 35 mins to get 1 meal. The wait was a bit long as at that time the place was getting empty. One suggestion is since you have to scan a QR code to order there needs to be an option when you add your meal to say "sauce in side" or an additional comments area? My mom doesn't like thousand island dressing but I do and since we're we're sharing the only option I was given was not have the dressing at all. So I had to walk up to the front counter and they had to wait till they saw the order and then they had to go into the computer and add the comment. It was just a headache that could've been fixed with this added to the app for convenience, i'm sure I'm not the only person that wants a sauce on the side?

Thanks as always to Yelp for finding OGBH - because this place is AWESOME! We wanted to sit at the bar, but the bar was busy, so we grabbed a table in the other room and the bartender came to us about 4 minutes later and said there were 2 spots at the bar! So, we moved to the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the next 3 hours - we might still be there, if it wasn't for the Brewers game we had tickets to! We enjoyed several different beers on tap, talked with the bartenders - specifically Mitch and Sarah and of course the other people at the bar. We enjoyed the OGBH Brat - for sure the best brat I have ever had. The bun is perfectly warm and toasty, the brat is delicious and full of flavor and of course, it's snappy! We even tried the bavarian pretzel with the yummy cheese! I love this place - I don't have to search for anywhere else to go now that I have found this gem!

I'm not a beer drinker myself, so I always go for a liter of the root beer. I'm not even a huge root beer fan, but it feels fitting when I visit here. I love their chicken schnitzel tenders. The ranch here is so well-flavored and compliments the thin breading on the tenders.

Service is always impeccable with a valet service for cars because parking is not easy in this area. Water is constantly refilled and they don't miss a beat. We went for lunch downtown dining week because I haven't been in years and two friends had never been there before. I didn't make the best meal choice with Reuben rolls and Jager schnitzel. Friend chose the pretzel and the beef goulash which was way better than what I ordered. The Reuben rolls were mostly kraut and very little else so I ate a few bites and was done. The pretzel however was served warm with fried pretzel spears which were very flavorful and hot. Pretzel also came with cheese and mustard. The schnitzel was very bland and as well as the spaetzle. It needed salt and just flavor. I know they cater to a more senior crowd so that explains the salt it yourself. The beef goulash did need some salt but it at least had flavor. Mader's is definitely a tourist destination and should be seen for the novelty of the decor. However if you're looking for good German food I would try another restaurant. Hopefully as the client base ages they can draw in new crowd.

The ambiance was nice but we wouldn't go back due to the food be so overpriced and the service being sub-par.

I wanted it to be fun, and something our guests would thoroughly enjoy. Being a big soft pretzel fan myself, I thought Auntie Anne's would be perfect! Soft pretzels fit the Milwaukee vibe of our wedding, and who doesn't love them (especially after a long night of drinking and dancing)?! I contacted Auntie Anne's to see if a large late night delivery was possible, and ended up speaking with Cherie. She is amazing! Cherie was so helpful in making my vision for this come true. She was easy to get in touch with, whether it was on the phone, texts, or emailing. She helped me decide on how many pretzels to order, and the variety of flavors. She personally delivered the food to our wedding and did a fantastic job. Everyone was so excited and enjoyed the salty food at the end of the night. If you're considering a late night snack, do it! You won't regret having Auntie Anne's at your wedding. People will keep talking about it after too!
