Great brewpub! We had a large group in town for an event and came here for dinner / drinks on a Saturday night. They took great care of us and managed our large party perfectly. It was October, so, I had their seasonal brew- "The Gourd Land", a pumpkin spice brown ale, and it was delicious! For dinner, I had their blackened chicken pasta- which was really good! The chicken was tender with a ton of flavor and the pasta was creamy & also delicious. I would highly recommend both of those menu items. My friends tried the salads and burgers, all of which looked great and everyone left full and happy. The ambiance was great- very spacious and comfortable restaurant with ample TV's. The Hazy New England IPA was good. The Made Man Pinsa was EXCELLENT! The best sauce I've ever had in a pizza. We highly recommend.

Just popped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch because we were in the neighborhood. We had never been here before, so we thought we would give it a shot. We were greeted immediately and seated. Service was great, the ambience is what you would expect of a brewpub. I ordered a salad and my husband ordered a burger. We also ordered the chard brussels sprouts, which were very good. No complaints. Both were good. Service was again great. We didn't try any of the beers, because we were there in the afternoon. Lol. We had no problems with this restaurant, and would most likely go back if we were in the area. They brew their own beers and there are some for sale. They're in the cooler. First time coming here and might not be the last. I ordered the wings with honey sirracha and sweet chilli. So good. We also ordered the big a** pretzel to share and it was so delicious. What got me was the hard root beer. Never had one before so had to try. It was so good, I had to bring a 4 pack home. Service was quick. I've come here a number of times for lunch and everyone is always pleased with their food. Burgers (particularly the cheese burgers) are the favorites but its a kind of place where there's something for everyone. I usually get a salad with chicken and its huge! Enough for 2 meals. Service is always great. There's a nice outdoor area, plus a lofted balcony with seats. Although I've never been there for a game all the TVs around the place male it seem like a great place to watch one. I'm a fan! read more

Went here for the first time last night. Went for happy hour with a coworker because it was right in the neighborhood. Shockingly even though it was extremely busy we still found two seats at the bar. The place has plenty of space. It's honestly huge. I had cava, and whatever brand they're using is decent. The prices weren't horrible. They were about average. We did not have any food, but I've heard the food is average at best. Nothing to write home about, but it is definitely a convenient spot in Mayfair area. The bartender that we had was a nice guy. It's not normally the first place I would pick, but like I said it is convenient and because of that, I would go back for happy hour. read more

Stopped here for restaurant week to try the new Explorium after they absorbed Good City. We weren't a big fan of Good City so hoping for an improvement. The space was blocked off a bit so there was a wait at about 6pm on a Friday night but it wasn't long (10-15 min). Once we were seated, our server stopped by pretty quick after. We ordered the beer and burger special and unfortunately the hefeweizen tasted a little soapy but the IPA was okay. Our server was busy and we didn't want to say anything since it was a little crazy (March Madness, too). We asked that the burgers be cooked well done but there was still a good amount of pink in both of ours. The fries were pretty good though - both the house and curry fries. If it weren't for the special, we wouldn't have stopped in. Happy we tried it but will probably wait until they iron out the kinks. Had a good time with coworkers on a Monday night! We went for quizmaster trivia - its was not very busy and we easily found a table for our group of 6. I ordered their seasonal cocktail the Sunset Sour and it was very good. We also got the pretzel and hummus tray to share. Get the addition of the beer cheese very delicious! For a brewery type place I was expecting a larger tap list, although we found good options. The place is big, and really neat inside but was super quiet on a Friday night. Two of us stopped in for dinner on a weekend and were seated at a table promptly. Ambiance: Well lit and very spacious with a family friendly large outdoor seating area as well. Service: Average (in comparison to service being provided at the bar) Food: The grilled chicken sandwich tasted like rubber, bun was cold, lettuce wilted and fries overcooked. The tossed salad was wilted, bacon bits charred and minute amounts of chicken, etc. Needless to say, we both got sick after our meal. First time trying Good City Brewing - Tosa and enjoyed my dining experience. Came in on a Thursday evening - seat yourself environment with plenty of options. Our server was prompt with taking drink orders and making recommendations. They have a special menu each month in addition to their normal food menu. I loved the Bloody Mary, which had a nice level of heat to it. The burger was cooked perfectly and the curry fries were a nice change of pace. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries too. This was probably one of the worst experiences I have had. Our server was dismissive. We ordered an appetizer to enjoy before our food and it came out at the same time as our meal. Then our serve disappeared for 30 mins and didn't comeback. The food quality was ok. We all had stomach aches the next day because everything was so greasy. I was hoping for some improvements in the food and ambiance with the change from Good City to Explorium, but was left very disappointed. When we arrived, we noticed they moved the entry door and host closer to the parking lot. This makes sense, until its freezing cold out and an arctic breeze whips through the entire restaurant everytime someone enters or exits. We went specifically to try the gluten free fish fry, this was a success and glad they offer it! However, the banh mi sandwich we shared was almost inedible with tough and chewy meat, couldn't believe they served it and the server had told me that 'people really like it' (can't imagine who those people are?!). My wife and I were lucky enough to get the last table in the house without having to wait. So it was relatively busy. This did not inhibit our experience here. Tim, our server, was seriously awesome. If you come here, I hope you get to have him as well. He was very nice and accommodating with us. My wife ordered the blackened chicken wrap. She said it was good. She was nervous that it would be okay. But she was pleasantly surprised with how good it was. Full of flavor. I ordered the jalapeño pub burger. Absolutely incredible. I am a huge burger connoisseur, and I have to say, from the temp to the freshness of the burger, I'm impressed. We sat outside for the first time and the experience was more of a fast-food restaurant. We had to place our order inside and take our drinks with us and help ourselves with the rest. Our food was taken to our table and nobody came to check on us at all (not even when we gave a good tip in advance!). Regarding the food, it was good and we enjoyed it. We walked back outside after placing our order and sadly discovered a birth that had crashed on the roof by the front entrance. If this has happened before, can the business do something about it? I realize there is cristal all over but if you see this happening often, please try to do something about it. read more

Went on a Tuesday night at 8pm...it wasn't busy at all. We waited 10 minutes for a host to come seat us. Finally got seated and never saw a waiter for 20 minutes!! No drink orders were even taken...no waiter came over to say hi...nothing! After unsuccessfully attempting to go to the Deer District location last night, we ended up here. The place was decently busy but we had no trouble finding a spot at the bar and getting prompt service. My mom had a seltzer that she enjoyed and I had one of Good City's imperial stout offerings. Very boozy so glad all I got was a taster. Mom ordered the Reuben and I ordered their Brie Burger special, both with the curry fries. The curry fries were well seasoned and tasty. The Reuben was good but the contents were minimal; it could have used more of the corned beef and more sauerkraut. The burger patty was good and cooked to my specifications, but I tasted the burger and Brie and none of the other toppings really. There was cranberry mayo on it but I didn't taste it at all. I'd likely try one of their other burgers if I come back. We had good service at the bar and were well taken care of. It's a good size place and not difficult to access, with its own dedicated parking. Pretty decent addition to the Mayfair Collection, just maybe not our best food choices. read more

Service terrible Waiter never asked how our food was. No personality. The people across from us had cold fries. The waiter never asked them either. Who wants to pay for cold soup? When the waiter brought the bill I mentioned about my less than warm soup. He said "Why didn't you say something?" I replied "Because you never came over to our table". He said nothing. I also mentioned to a kitchen staff person and on the way out. My friend had to ask for water the second time. When our waiter asked "separate checks." My friend replied yes. the waiters reply was "I thought so". it was a snarky comment. There was never a pleasant exchange. i reported my experience on Sinday to Explorium's Facebook account. I included receipts. I was asked "Did you speak with a manager?" I should not have to speak with a manager and the waiter should have made a better effort. And then...We all have bad days. I worked in customer service and this is inappropriate. Then I was told he is "a great server". Unacceptable and unbelievable! read more

I've enjoyed the outdoor patio here in the past for work events, but it felt too cool tonight, so we opted to sit inside. Unfortunately, the experience was sub-par. If you're looking for good sit-down service, I'd recommend skipping this place. Our server brought out the appetizers but didn't provide plates. I had to find her to request some, even though it wasn't a busy night. The bruschetta was more like a flatbread with large cheese slices, a few tomato slices, and very little basil or balsamic vinaigrette. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't particularly good either. Two of us ordered the cheesy spicy sandwich. While the bread was decent, the sandwich was mostly lettuce and peppers with very little cheese. The other three dishes at our table were decent, but nothing exceptional. I had to track down a server to get a to-go container and our bill. The manager (or at least I think it was the manager) seemed helpful and was clearly trying hard while training a new staff member. However, the other server was not helpful at all. It was unclear whether the servers were supposed to be attentive since their focus seemed almost exclusively on the nearly empty bar. We ordered at the bar, and they brought the food and drinks to the table, but they never checked in on us. As a result, I had to keep going up to the bar whenever we needed something. If that's the intended service model, it's confusing given the large seating area. read more

Great place to have a good time with friends and family. We sat in the outdoor section. You go inside to order your food and drinks, and then they'll bring it out to your table. You can do flights of beer or by the cup. They also have some spiked seltzer's and wine. For food we got the pretzel and it comes with curry seasoned popcorn. I thought it would be spicy but it's not, it was good. I got the bbq pulled pork which was delicious with regular fries as my side. Some of the fries were hard though like almost not cooked. We split the brownie dessert which is very rich! The vanilla icecream was topped with salted caramel. I'm not a huge sweet tooth so it was too much for me. It's dog friendly outside, and there's some cornhole boards which are fun. The music they played was also really good. There's 2 TVs outside too you can watch. Would recommend coming here! read more

I believe when we visited a few weeks back it was still doing a soft opening, but anyhow great food and beer! What more can you ask for?! Milwaukee has been our go to spot when we want a quick get away from Chicago. Being recent Marriott members drew us to a nearby hotel, and we ended up dropping by for a quick lunch before headed down to Milwaukee. First thing is first, the space is great. Lots of both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor area is dog friendly and has some grassy areas for the kiddos to roam around or try your hand at some cornhole. Inside is clean and has really nice open windows to let in fresh air when the weather is nice. Service is casual. Order up at the bar, take a number, and they'll come and find you. Food was great. In general, I've never been disappointed with a burger from Wisconsin. Did one of their burgers (with bacon) and it came with a side of curry fries (wuuut). Tasty yet get those napkins ready, that curry powder will make it just about everywhere. Burger was everything I wanted, no complaints. As far as beer selection goes, pretty limited but all quality. Limited number of beers on tap and a selection of small batch limited run canned beers if you're feeling adventurous. I did thoroughly enjoy the two hazy IPAs I tried (Space Time & Spare Time). Would I come back again? Probably if I found myself in Wauwatosa. They also have two location in Milwaukee proper. My brother is visiting from out of town and wanted to visit a brewery. I had been to Good City's Farwell locale but not to the Tosa location so decided to give it a whirl. First of all, the space is amazing. They have tons of seating both indoors and out (and big rolling windows that bring the outdoors in on particularly lovely days). It's an order at the bar and they'll bring your food to your table when it's ready sort of set up. I ordered their bourbon barrel aged stout and my brother opted for their Pils. Both were great choices. The stout was a bourbon-y delight. For my meal, I opted for their Impossible burger with curry fries. The Impossible Burger was a bit dry and underwhelming (and I typically love a good Impossible burger!) but the curry fries stole. The. Show. So amazing! I would seriously go to snack on those while enjoying a frosty beverage anytime. The service was friendly and efficient and the space was clean and spacious. Get to it! read more

Very happy to see Good City Brewing Co. expand west to Wauwatosa, and this large indoor-outdoor space has lots of potential! Currently in soft opening mode with beer, wine, seltzer and soft drinks only, I was happy enough to grab a few beers on the patio on a sunny Sunday. In the space formerly held by ABV Social, there's lots of indoor seating, and outdoor seating under an awning, or picnic tables in the sun. Enjoyed the current Indigo Series beer, Blossom Season sour ale with sour cherries, and introduced my sister and friends to a few of my fave Good City beers. Great location for Good City, and can't wait until food service opens up- I expect to be here a lot over the summer! read more
