And from the moment you walk in, you understand why the community embraced it so enthusiastically. The vibe is nautical meets industrial -- casual but polished, comfortable and undeniably inviting. It feels less like a commercial establishment and more like a really cool friend's living room, which is entirely by design. Mark and Karen are hands-on owners who have a genuine gift for making every patron feel welcome. The beer is excellent. There's a solid lineup of year-round staples alongside rotating seasonal options, which means there's always something new to try. That variety keeps every visit feeling fresh -- you never quite know what's going to be on tap, and that's half the fun. The food menu is intentionally simple: personal pizzas, giant pretzels, and North Fork potato chips. But here's the thing -- you're welcome to bring outside food, which is a refreshingly customer-friendly policy that you don't see everywhere. Now, here's what truly sets Six Harbors apart, and I say this with full sincerity: the dogs. Yes, Six Harbors is dog-friendly -- well-behaved, leashed pups are welcome at all times. But the real stars of the show are Buddy, Barley, and Brandy, three gorgeous golden retrievers affectionately known as "The Brew Dogs." They belong to Mark and Karen, and they come to work every day. These three are among the sweetest, most gentle dogs you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. Petting them takes your visit from great to truly amazing! And it doesn't stop there. Mark and Karen go above and beyond to celebrate their four-legged community. Throughout the year, Six Harbors hosts Yappy Hours, dog meet-ups, a Halloween costume party, a December ugly sweater party, and even birthday celebrations for the Brew Dogs themselves. (Just recently, we had the pleasure of attending Barley's seventh birthday -- an event that can only be described as pure, unfiltered Cuteness Overload.)
