Sand City Brewing Co Northport, NY @sandcitybrewery Sand City Brewing Co in Northport is their original location, tucked away on the town's beautiful Main Street. They brew up some great beer and we love when we get to visit here! They just released their Oktoberfest and Imperial Pumpkin Ale that you need to try this season! They are dog and kid family, so bring them by! Indoor and outdoor seating available as well. We loved ordering the flight to try 5 of their 10 beers that they offered. We went with: Southdown - Hazlenut Stout 7.5% Nopo Lite - American Lager 4.6% Oops! I Hopped My Pants - IPA 6.5% Nine - 9th Anniversary DIPA 9% Oops! I Mangoed My Pants 7% They also have their Sand City South location in Lindenhurst that is amazing as well! @sandcitysouth We love it here and we know you will to! Sand City Brewing Co. is one of my favorite spots on Long Island for a laid-back, high-quality craft beer experience. The variety here is impressive--whether you're into hazy IPAs, crisp lagers, fruited sours, or bold stouts, there's always something new and interesting to try. Flights are a great way to explore the rotating taps, and the staff is always helpful with recommendations if you're not sure where to start. One of the best parts? It's dog-friendly, which makes it a perfect stop when you're out and about with your pup. The vibe is super relaxed, with a great mix of locals and visitors, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to hang out. Whether you're looking to spend an afternoon sampling unique brews or just grab a pint with friends, Sand City nails it every time. Great beer, great energy, and a spot that truly welcomes everyone--two-legged and four-legged alike!

In under a decade, Sand City Brewing in the heart of Northport VIllage has become a world-class brewery known to beer lovers across the nation, and with good reason. The funky little tasting room, replete with dogs, is a blast, and can release days have lines around the corner. For a while, when I was in the throes of an obsession with juicy, fruity New England IPAs, this was my primary source as it's what they focus on, and they are GOOD, my faves being Day Drifter, Fade to Jade, Beach Glass, Washed Up and Oops I Mangoed My Pants. These days I tend to go more for pilsners and stouts. Sand City doesn't do much of the former, alas, but their stouts are absolutely amazing. Even Mo' Hygge imperial stout rules, with flavors of pecans and vanilla. Also love The Anatomy of Restlessness bourbon barrel-aged stout and the Jax's Patch Over pumpkin brew. Go and try a flight, if you like beer.

Great Craft Beers and definitely worth stopping in and checking out. Dog Friendly. Best beer on Long Island! I prefer Sand City to any other brewery any day of the week. Great staff, wonderful vibes and prime location. Every double IPA here is fire. Friendly staff and patrons make for a nice experience. Beers are pretty solid and even though I'm a beer guy the seltzer was tasty too. Worth a trip to check it out. Great beer...selection not complicated but diverse...worth the drive to spend the day at Northport Long Island. A gem of a brewery . Amazing vibe and very friendly staff . Highly recommend

Had the day off...was happy to see a brewery that was open in the afternoon. There wasn't a large amount of choices on tap...and I'm not a fan of IPA's. More variety would have been better. I decided on "Passionate Freak." It was 11% Belgian brewed with cherries. It was just okay. Possibly because I'm not a huge fan of cherries in general. Atmosphere was decent. Good music playing. Friendly service. Chips were a must. They only had one type...more variety would have been better.

Such a great stop. It's kind of tucked away & hard to find but totally worth stopping in. They are very ipa heavy (which I loved) but I also tried there Pilsner & summer ale which were also delicious! Great beers & friendly service!

My friend and i went here at opening and the beerista was friendly and the location was very spacious with an outside patio and lots of space also indoors. They have a plethora of ipas and a few local brewery taps as well. If you are local to this area you definitely need to hit them up.

Sand City is definitely a fun spot to go if you've got a group of friends who want to go out for a beer...or five. There's typically 10 beers on tap, all of which are in house brews. They range from light to dark and everything else in between. I'm not a huge beer drinker but a few of their lighter beers were solid. In regards to pricing, they're fair compared to most breweries. Plan for $6-7 per glass. However, your best bang for your buck comes with their 5 beer flight. You can try 5 of 10 beers of your own choice rather than predetermined flights and all for only $12. If you're a dog owner/lover, they are dog friendly and typically there are 2-3 dogs roaming around at a time. Food wise, they only offer pretzel rods so plan to eat before or after at a local restaurant that's within walking distance. My biggest bugaboo about the establishment is that they are overly strict about how many people they allow in at a time. I've always had to wait outside on their "porch" which if the line is long, you just want to give up and walk across to another one of the local eateries or bars.

I have been here a few times and I have had many different experiences but I am specifically writing about my most recent visit. I stopped in here for a refreshing beer on an extremely hot week day. I came as soon as it open so my group was the only customers in the brewery! It wasn't listed on the board yet but I asked if they had a sour on tap. Luckily they did! It was called "Be Nice Until it's Time Not to be Nice" (blood orange, raspberries & peaches) and I would rate it a 4.2/5. Solid beer but I felt the blood orange took over the other fruity flavors. I also tried "A Fairly Simple Operation - Blueberry Ale (golden ale with blueberries). I would rate this a 4.5/5 but the others in my party would rate it a 5/5 (they loved it)! They bought a 4 pack ($16) to take home! They didn't have the sour in cans available for purchase. Some other things to note! The location is great! There is usually a few 2 seater tables outside. The inside is a little small so go early to grab a table. Dog friendly! They do not sell food besides bags of chips but you are permitted to bring food in. There are plenty of places to order from.

I spoke to a woman in the bathroom and she said even if you don't have a reservation, you can always find a spot on the grass or chairs. There's plenty of room to hang out. Our server Les was incredible! You can tell when you have a great experienced waiter that is truly good at their job and love what they do! Pay him whatever he wants and never let him go! He truly made the dining experience above and beyond. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and he asked me if I wanted a glass or a bottle and I told him I couldn't drink a bottle because I had to drive home. He told me if I was gonna have two glasses. It would end up being about equal to the bottle price and that I could take the rest of the wine home! What a nice surprise, and the fact that he pointed out made me feel like he goes above and beyond for his customers! Now let's talk about the food! I was in a party of three and they had ordered the appetizer sandwich for the table which was gigantic! Both of the other guests love the sandwich, but I didn't try it because I do not like prosciutto. The truffle chips were fantastic; I'm still thinking about them and I didn't even know I liked truffle! I ate 90% of them. The portions are massive but in a good way because the food is exceptional! One guest was so full from the sandwich that she opted to not order an entrée I ordered the margarita flatbread and it had to be over a foot and a half long. I ended up taking half home and my husband ate it and said it was delicious as well. The other guest ordered the meatballs and I tasted them and they were quite delicious. By the time the meal was over we left with half a sandwich half a flatbread and some extra meatballs. For dessert: we got a llimoncello flute and I got the largest lemon beautifully presented with lemon sorbet! I told us I don't usually take pictures of my food, but this was photo worthy! The wine was one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc that I've ever had in my life! We will definitely go back for the food and definitely will be purchasing the wine again! 4/5 food 10/5 for the service and ambience Thank you for a wonderful experience on a beautiful afternoon! Overall, ranking above five just due to the experience

The spicy sauce on the side was way too spicy for me. 3/5 Bavarian pretzel $17- pretzel itself is standard, comes with honey mustard, spicy brown mustard, & mayo sriracha. I liked both of the mustards. 3/5 Meat & cheese board $59- didn't try the meat or bread but comes with grapes, cranberries, dates, olives & nuts. Everything I tried was decent.
