I was craving ice cream on this warm May Spring day, so who else but Carvel can satisfy my soft serve urge? I got a medium cup with soft vanilla and pistachio w/ rainbow sprinkles. My fav! Well I called in a cake order and told them to write Too Old for Leo DiCaprio- I even spelt each word out. I picked it up on my lunch break at work today so I was rushing. They had one person working the counter (who wasn't the most pleasant person) and it was buy one get one free sundaes on Wednesday. So needless to say I was on a time crunch. So I took the cake and went back to work. I didn't check the writing since I spelt everything out. I figured there wouldn't be any errors, never had that problem at my usual Carvel store. I went to Copiague because it was close to my job. Well tonight we went to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday and open the cake. To my surprise BOOM spelling error. I was hoping she wouldn't notice but she did. And I asked for extra crunchies on the bottom and didn't receive that. Thanks Carvel of Copiague for ruining her cake. Somewhat expensive but a nice, once-a-week treat. I normally only go here when I get a coupon in the mail because I cannot justify spending $10 on ice cream when I can get a tub at the supermarket for a fourth of the price. But, ice cream cartons do not compare to a soft-serve sundae from Carvel. Contrary to another review on here from a few years ago, this location does take corporate coupons and has also started accepting credit cards. Service is okay. The girls behind the counter always look miserable but they normally get your order right and if they don't, they quickly correct an issue if you speak up. read more

Okay, okay, okay.....this has been my spot since I was a kid. This location is the only location that always gets it right. Also they have upgraded so much, you can now use a credit card, which for years they were cash only. I get my usual which is a sundae with soft serve vanilla ice cream with either carmel or butterscotch. yum. I usually get the medium size sundae. The service is quick and the students they usually have working there are good. Wednesday's is BOGO which especially in the summer I try to take advantage of. Great location. Staff is friendly and always generous with toppings. They don't accept corporate coupons but they do have coupons for this location in the Sunday paper each week. Wednesday's are usually packed when it's B1G1 for everyone, so I will usually make a point to utilize a coupon on a different night to avoid the crowd. read more

This Carvel has been at this location for as long as I can remember and has always been a great place to get a cup of well crafted soft serve. The staff is very friendly and the large selection of premade ice cream treats it's always captivating. The prices are a little pricey but the employees craft such a quality treat that it is hard to argue. read more

I come here EVERY Wednesday for the buy one get one free soft serve which is always tasty and I usually get good service. I get lots of fruit toppings with whipped cream. My total cost is usually $6.55 with tax but TODAY my same medium sundae with the exact toppings came out to $9.55!!! The server seemed aggravated about the amount of "work" she had to do because of my toppings and had a bad attitude, first time I've encountered that here. I WILL be calling management in the morning for my $3.00 refund and to inform them of this bad employee. It was too busy to get into it with her tonight. Miss the old owner. She was there for 50 years and always a sweetheart. The new owners are nice, but it's hard to get used to the change. Still clean and good ice cream. One of the better Carvels around. read more
