Service was super slow. First time I've ever been charged for a cup of ice water when your ordering food.

I was at a plant swap at Ivanhoe Village and the WAFU truck was there. They have a merchandise…read moredisplay that caught my eye. They sell Taiyaki sandwiches that seem to be made of a batter similar to waffle cones filled with sweet and savory ingredients. The waffle is pressed into the shape of a fish. Order 1 for a snack or 2-3 (3/12) for a meal. I had the Toasty which was like a grilled cheese with scallions and black sesame seeds. Simply delightful. My friend had the Anko which is filled with a Japanese sweet bean paste. She liked hers as well. You place your order and wait 5 minutes. There were three of us and our fishes came out pronto. When you order you see WAFU ice cream waffle cones. Visually these are beautiful and unusual flavors. They fill the cones with vanilla or matcha ice cream. If I had not been bundled up for a January day I would have taken a licking. Like them on FB for dates and locations.

Their taiyaki is delicious- I ordered their grilled cheese taiyaki but I've had their other flavors before. They are super cute and filling, and I even got to try their Cherry Blossom soft serve made from real cherry blossoms! It was perfect on a sunny day (even though the weather was a little chilly). I highly recommend trying Wafu Taiyaki if they pop up at an event near you!

Believed to be a "Scratch Kitchen", this amazing find has a menu that I find myself excited about returning to try. We ordered a drink and an order of the Frescos Egg Rolls. The drink was spot on and the Egg Rolls amazing. We opted not to order a main course due to eating just a couple hours prior but I knew right then and there that I'd be back to try other selections from the menu. Pricing seems to be below average with "happy hour" pricing at specified times daily. Highly Recommended!

On the menu everything looks amazing, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. There were four…read moreof us, and anyone who ordered a hot dish was served something either lukewarm or cold. Appetizer of fried green tomatoes was marred by slices of tomato that were so thick that the knives on the table were incapable of cutting them. This same issue carried over to the green tomato blt, which was almost impossible to eat bc of bread that was also too thick. The bacon was so overcooked as to be dry sticks that shattered into tiny bits when you tried to eat the sandwich. The fries were allegedly hand cut, but looked & tasted like (cold) seasoned frozen steak fries. The FSKB chicken salad croissant was just a soggy mess. And the eggs Benedict featured "Canadian Bacon", which is a US marketing term for round slices of bacon, not Back Bacon or Peameal Bacon that is actually served in Canada. Overpriced & not worth a second try.
