Sitting at the brown benches by potato corner. Which is what I'm eating. The Asian lady on shift ( 6/3 @ 1:25pm) using register, rolling dough and doing everything using same gloves touching money. Not once did she attempt to wash her hands even with the gloves on. Just gross will never eat here again I will tell my family members about this as well. I was at the Ontario Mills last weekend to pick up some Sarku Teriyaki Chicken with yakisoba noodles for my youngest daughter. I wanted to get some Jollibee chicken as well, but they ran out of chicken. So I walked a couple shops down the pathway and saw Auntie Anne's. We love their pretzels. Our favorite is Almond Crunch either in whole form or in bites. I got here towards closing time. There were still some pretzels left. I asked if they offer discounts for the remaining pretzels and they don't (just a tip... offer the pretzels at a discount towards closing time to get rid of them quicker... better sold than not IMHO). Anyway, I got 2 Almond Crunch. They are so good! Slightly crunchy on the outside and moist pretzel on the inside. Perfect balance in oil and crunch combinations. Ambiance is bright and wonderful. Staff was wonderful and attentive. My daughters were happy campers. I normally don't get a whole pretzel for myself as I share with my girls. Sharing is caring! Thank you girls! I'm not proud to admit it, but I've ordered Auntie Anne's for takeout a few times. I get really bad cravings for frozen drinks, and sometimes I want that sugary treat without having to rummage through a crowd of people at the mall. That's exactly what this was. I ordered their frozen lemonade, and honestly, it never disappoints. I also ordered the pizza bits, which are always a must when getting the frozen lemonade. The only thing that bothers me is that they don't come even a little bit warm. Other than that, no regrets. read more

This Auntie Annie's (AA) is in the Ontario Mills Mall (OMM). It is the only AA's relatively close by except for the other location at the opposite end of the mall. The OMM lot is huge, but it does get filled up particularly at dinner time (approx. 4:00-6:00) due to the many restaurants in the mall. I usually go to the mall at dinner, but came for lunch around 11:30-11:45. Traffic around the mall was still pretty heavy at this time. The AA is located near the police station in the mall, which gives some feeling if security. The mall is in/near a business area and a pretty good neighborhood, but security never hurts to feel safe. As other reviewers stated the prices have gone up due to COVID and inflation (see menu pic) but it's still nice to go occasionally for a treat. I got a classic salted pretzel, a plain pretzel dog, and a soda (see pic). The pretzel on the dog was buttery and the stand slime pretzel cooked well on this visit, crispy outside soft & buttery inside. Their soda machine was not calibrated quite right so the soda flavor was a little off. The man who served me was very nice and efficient. They were not busy at this time. I would definitely recommend going here for a snack or treat and will be back some time. For fast food on Yelp 2-2.5 stars is average and below that is to be avoided and above that 3.0+ is rare and very good. So the 4 star average for this place says a lot. Since the other location is only 2.5 stars then this one may be preferred. Maybe I'll give the other location a try/review later, but this one is definitely with the visit. Auntie Anne's has always been great! The concept is simple... pay some money when you order, then get what you pay for - a quality pretzel. Of all the times I have stopped here for a pretzel, I have always had a great experience! I don't personally know anyone who would give a bad review for visiting. Noticing many of the reviews for this location are amusing to read as some give great written review but assign a 3 star instead of a 5. Other reviews are complaints about the line length and wait, while others complain about the workers somehow - or claim they've received "piss poor service". Haha! Ignore the Karen inspired reviews and don't worry about the service or the pretzel you will get. The service is here is often fast, friendly - regardless - and if you don't feel like it is, well, just rate the pretzel. In my most recent experience, I got a pretzel that was a little more black than brown at the bottom. I brought it to the attention of one of the workers and they agreed it was a bit too "cooked" and offered to get me a fresh one. Mind you, this is the first time in my life I complained about a pretzel! I even felt a little bad about it... After a short wait I received a fresh one which was not as black on the bottom. The pretzel was warm, perfectly sweet, and had a prefect balance of crisp and softness to it. I enjoyed it very much. Probably the best pretzel ever! Lastly, the kitchen and workspace appeared clean, neat, and tidy. It's fun to watch a fresh pretzel be made. My appreciation for the staff and workers of 4/10/23 at approximately 6pm. I specifically ordered 2 for $11 pretzel nuggets but they charged me full price. I tell them and they only refund me 1 at $6.80 and insist that I pay again for the 2 for $11. Well I paid for 3 pretzels when I only received 2 and they refuse to acknowledge that I only got a partial refund. Went back to the store today, as this all occurred yesterday, and they refused to remedy the situation at all. My daughter specifically asks to come to the mall for these pretzels and I always oblige. In the past I've been given stale, cold, and old pretzels that I would have to request for fresher ones at almost $7 a bucket - why are they served old to begin with? Why isn't 2 small pretzel nuggets automatically rung up for the $11 deal? I'll make sure to give my business to Wetzels Pretzels from here on out. Came here Wednesday afternoon for 2 pretzels. I ordered the almond crunch and the jalapeno. I used a BOGO coupon so I only paid $5 for both! I was a great deal. I gave the pretzels to my friends since I don't like jalapenos or almonds. They liked the pretzels! Welp, in defense of Auntie Anne's, we all should acknowledge that the only people that work at these establishments usually are those that really don't want to be there. Knowing that, I would expect pretty crappy service from these employees. All that aside, the service during our visit was not that bad at all. The girl who was taking the order, though was not smiling, was serviceable. The pretzel that we wanted (the almond one) was in the oven so we had to wait a little bit, which meant that we would have a nice fresh pretzel! I must say that their ovens aren't very efficient considering another employee had to turn the pretzel every minute so that the pretzels would cook evenly. Geez, spend some money for some decent ovens! Considering how much they charge for each pretzel and the amount of business they get, I think they can afford one. Once we had our pretzel, we were pretty pleased with it. It was what we expected and a little better. I can't really give this place 5 stars considering the price and the service... so 4 stars it is. read more

Auntie Anne's never disappoints me. I don't know what makes their cinnamon pretzels so good, but I get it every time I come to the mall. And they always have the 2 signature pretzels for $5 deal. There's not too much dough where you get tired of the pretzel, and there's always enough cinnamon sugar where it isn't overly sweet. That's a reason why I go here instead of Wetzel's Pretzels. Today, I had the misfortune of patronizing this establishment while I was waiting for my watches to be repaired. Specifically, this was the location on the eastern part of the Ontario Mills. (I believe they have another store on the western side of the mall.) As anyone who has been in a mall in the last 5 years, this is a place that makes customized "gourmet" pretzels for you to munch on while you are shopping, or so the menu would indicate. So, I walk up to the counter, and I had to wait while the person I will refer to as EOY (Employee of the Year) finishes doing whatever it is what she is doing. By the time she acknowledges me, she is making it clear that she is not happy that she has to help me. I look at the menu and saw they had a Sour Cream & Onion pretzel, and I told her I would like one of those. EOY responds in a surly tone that they don't have any of those, that I have to choose what they have available in the display case. I look down at the display case and see 3 of the sorryest excuses for pretzels that you have ever seen. They were all shriveled like a Charlie Brown X-mas tree, no kidding. I asked EOY if she had anything fresher and she pointed to these pretzel sticks (which by the way, were awesome!!) that appeared to have been made today, so I chose those instead. I also asked her for a small drink. She gets the drink and sets in on the counter next to the register. Just as I'm ready to grasp the cup, I note that the entire outside of the cup is dripping with soda. While I was slowly wiping the side of my cup, so she could see that I was displeased, I could only think "she is so going to Hell". Note to retail business owners and/or management: "Customers are not your enemies, we are your friends". Pretty Dissapointed. The girl working the register wasn't paying attention and was more occupied with whatever her co workers were doing. It took her about 30 seconds before her co workers tapped her and told her someone was waiting. I asked for a pretzel without salt and a side of cheese. She asked me if I wanted "no salt, right?" For the second time, no. I wait a couple minutes while she says something to her co workers in spanish, i take my receipt and go home. Imagine my surprise when i open my pretzel and it's what? The pretzels have been shrinking over the years and I noticed that the almond and jalapeño pretzels I had this time were severely lacking in their respective topping department. (Also, no more jalapeño cheddar?! :( ) Nonetheless, Auntie Anne's have been and always will be my go-to mall snack and I have yet to walk away with one that wasn't hot or fresh. there is atleast 4 of this in this mall now. we went to one of the newer ones in the middle of the mall, small one. The girl behind the counter was clueless. didnt know how to work the register and couldnt figure out the change. 2 of the slushies where not ready yet at 1pm. we got the pretzel bites with cinnamon. they where hard and when we where done that was about 1/2 cup of cinnamon at the bottom of the bag. none of it stuck to the pretzels. read more
