This is a great shop, very convenient, opens early at 10am to meet the needs of us 5am shift workers. I use the Yoshinoya app to take advantage of the weekly specials and promotions and to order ahead in my 5-10 minute drive from work. Occasional the food isn't always up to my expectations for Yoshinoya meals but it is quick and hot meal when burgers and fries are not available. Today we decided to try the boba at Yoshinoya. We ordered 4 boba with 2 free from Yoshinoya app. Yosh's tea, matcha green tea, strawberry lychee, mango lemonade. All of them taste okay, not sweet, boba is not too hard and just right. However I cannot taste the tea or smell tea flagrance. All four are regular size cups. Given the price of boba tea, it's a good deal for the size. The store is small, and mostly good for to go orders. This location is just right across Ontario Mills. We came in for a quick bite for dinner. We ordered the beef bowl, one large and one regular, just plain rice and meat, no veggies, teriyaki Rice, Clam Chowder, and Tokyo fried chicken. The order were quickly made and my name was called after 5 minutes of placing the order. The place could have been more clean, but maybe it was after a dinner rush and the staff hadn't had time to actually clean it? But the place was busy with people coming in and out, some patrons sat in and enjoyed the food in the restaurant, like we did! Other than that, the food was pretty good. The beef bowls both were packed with rice and meat and they even give you some of those meat juices that seeped into your rice, making it that much more delicious as you eat it. The Teriyaki rice was just white rice with teriyaki sauce. The Tokyo fried chicken was crispy and great with the dipping sauce. We chose the mayo for the dipping sauce. The clam chowder had a different container than what I was used to and it wasn't filled up all the way, so there's that and it could also use a bit more flavor. I guess if you like to eat your soup hot, it doesn't matter because the soup is piping HOT! when they serve it to you. Overall it was a good experience, the place should be easy to locate as you're driving down, plenty of parking, friendly staff, quick service, plenty of seats, and food was filling. read more

This Yoshinoya is super close by to my house but I had only tried it for the first time last night. We had some coupons that had came in the mail and didn't feel like cooking so we decided to finally give it a go. The coupons had to be used in person which kind of stinks cause I'm definitely more of an order online and pick up kind of person. We got there and there was a decent line of people waiting to order. Once it was our turn we were able to order and make customizations as we saw fit. I got the sliced beef bowl with veggies instead of rice. My only wish is that you could choose which veggies you wanted in like flame broiler. I personally don't love cooked carrots and my friend didn't love cabbage so we had to pick out those veggies from our final bowls. Overall, the food was really good and I would come back to Yoshinoya again. I do like the variety on their menu. With the coupons we had it's a nice and affordable quick takeout meal. read more

This Yoshinoya in Ontario Mills is probably the closest Yoshi to my house. Hence, I come here from time to time to pick up some rice plates. I normally go with the teriyaki chicken + veggies + white rice which I love to eat. Chicken skin is nice and crispy and chicken meat is very moist... vegetables could be a bit tastier... maybe add some chicken broth to them... rice is okay. Portion is normal. I don't eat beef so I don't get the beef or the ribeye, but I have tried their tempura orange chicken... and I didn't care for it. I'm not into really spicy foods so habanero chicken isn't for me either. Yeah, my choice of rice plate is very simple. By the way, they now have a large size... I haven't ordered a large yet, but I will LOL. You know I will LOL. Staff is usually friendly. Prices are average nowadays. Atmosphere is okay. I always order to-go anyway so I don't pay much attention to the inside except the ordering area and the walkway in/out the door and sometimes the restroom area. I asked for some sesame seeds on the side and I was told they only add 2 shakes to the container and what I got were exactly 2 shakes (they packed the sesame seeds on the spot). The cost of plastic containers are way over the cost of those sesame seeds. This never happened to me in my past experiences with Yoshinoya. I am glad they open this Yoshinoya close by me, only thing is that if you come at lunch time expect to wait a lot... I had to wait about 20m in line before ordering my food! They have a nice selection of meat choose between chicken, habanero chicken, tilapia, shrimp, grilled steaks and original steak. All entrees come with white rice or brown rice and vegetables, pretty healthy the chicken is moist and very tasty. I'm reviewing this specific location only. Apparently, this particular location has a different franchise owner than the other one in Ontario (on Vineyard). The manager would NOT allow the use of two coupons, even though it specially states "one coupon per transaction", and not one per person. He says it's the owner's policy of one per person. During the lockdown, he would not allow me to use the coupon even if picking up food for others to limit exposure outside. I promptly drove to the one on Vineyard. It's not their fault that their location is not located in a prime area like Ontario Mills, but the service on Vineyard is better and faster AND took my coupons without question. read more
