Gail cared for our two senior dogs while we were away and what a Godsend she is! She's a pro in all things having to do with animal care which came in handy since both dogs got diarrhea and what appears to be a virus. Gail took the initiative and found bone broth and rice in our pantry and treated our dogs like she would her own. I just tried Gail for the first time. She came daily to feed my cat while I was out of town, as well as my fish in my Koi pond. She is a natural with animals. My cat hates pretty much everyone but me. However, within days my cat was rubbing up against Gail and greeting her each day. Auntie Gail has been sitting our two German Shepherds for the last five or six years. She's the one person we trust with our "girls", Xena and Stormy. Recently, Stormy had a relapse of a life threatening condition caused by being attacked by a pit bull some years ago. One of her legs began to swell and an infection set in that caused a 107 degree fever and the potential for sepsis and death. We were on the East Coast with no way to get home quickly enough to save her. Auntie Gail went into action, lifting our 100 pound GSD into her car and spending hours at the hospital, working with doctors to make sure she pulled through. When she came home, Auntie Gail managed her medication and special food, cooking rice and chicken for her. She even spend the night to monitor Stormy's temperature and give her medicine at all hours. If it were not for Auntie Gail, our girl would likely have died. Auntie Gail is not just a dog sitter, she's like part of our family. Our girls love her. Her devotion to them and the love she has for them is genuine. We would not let anyone else take care of our big furry family members. read more

What can't I say about Auntie Gail? From the moment I met her, her passion for animals was clear. We barely got a chance to talk at first because she was already making a connection with my dogs...talking to them, petting them and playing with them. I reached out to her because my boyfriend and I were leaving town in a few days and the person that was supposed to take care of our dogs bowed out of his obligation. I actually found her on Yelp! She stepped in without hesitation, and barely a moments' notice, and took care of our kids (our pups are very much like our children) for over a week. We were afraid to trust a stranger with the 2 beings we love most in this world, but her genuine attitude and eagerness to make us feel at ease quickly ebbed our fears. While we were away, Gail sent us texts and pictures of the dogs. And when I let her know how comforting it was and how much I enjoyed receiving the updates, she sent me more (and over the past year she has graduated to some priceless videos of our babies). She also kept a careful eye on the security of our home, watered a few plants, brought our mail in, etc., and it was only taken care of by Gail...she farmed nothing out to other pet sitters. This was a year and a half ago. Since than, Gail has watched our babies on countless occasions. My boyfriend and I have a very active life, and we are also incredibly close to our families that don't live in town, so we reach out to her fairly often for both short visits and a few extended ones too. In addition, I have a very ill family member, and sometimes we need her with only a short notice, and she never fails to come through for us. She also keeps a close eye on our dogs and is cautious about our their safety and well being, since we live in a beautiful rural area, which is also a bit dangerous with coyotes, bobcats, and rattlesnakes. When we arrive home from our trips, I often find new toys on the dogs beds from Santa Gail, a new bag of puppy treats in the cupboard, she's even left us cards and little gifts for special occasions, and so much more. Gail has become our friend now. And although it's clear she cares a great deal for our family, we have come to realize that we truly love her too. I just asked my boyfriend the other day, "What would we do without Gail?" and he looked at me like a deer in headlights, because there is no replacement for her. I would highly recommend Gail as a responsible, loving and caring pet sitter. We had recently relocated to LA from NY and got her business card from our vet. We were planning a business trip back to NY so we needed someone to watch our two dogs while we were away. Being new in town, we didn't know many people and were nervous about leaving our dogs with a stranger, so Gail invited us out to her home with our dogs, Pierre and Chanel, for a meet and greet. We instantly liked her and so did Pierre and Chanel. They jumped right up on her sofa and made themselves at home. We were going to be gone for a week so we asked her to take our dogs into her home and allow them to sleep in her bed with her! We knew we were asking a lot but she had no problem with our requests. She took our dogs to the dog park, walked them, fed them and gave them lots of love while we were out of town. She gave us text updates while we were away and even took pictures of them playing in the dog park. She was a lifesaver and we always call on her when we are heading out of town. I have just recently relocated to Seattle and actually this is my first Yelp review because Aunty Gail's Pet Sitting is that awesome! My husband and I were lucky to call Gail our cat companion for a whole year while we were living in the Sunland-Tujunga area of Southern California. She is reliable, caring, attentive and willing to do whatever it takes to ensure your furry friends are well loved while you are away. We have relied on Aunty Gail almost once a month for at least two days over a year period. Both of our cats require special care and Gail never once flinched to do what was needed to ensure their safety and happiness. Our one cat is Deaf and has Asthma. Gail went out of her way to learn how to properly administer his inhaler and always made sure to approach him while he was alert so not to startle him. Our second cat is quite overweight, sheds a lot and has a heart murmur. She requires daily cleaning and Gail was so wonderful with her. Both cats' demeanors were carefree and loved every time we returned from a trip. She not only took great care of our feline family members, but our house as well! We always returned home to a clean, organized environment with a note detailing her visits and mail collected, plants watered, etc! Gail took care of our 2 GSDs over Christmas while we were away visiting family. We had such peace of mind that an experienced animal lover was willing and ready to take care of them during our trip, including Christmas day and Christmas eve. One day, one of our dogs was excitedly playing with her jolly ball, when the ball hit a water spigot and broke it, sending a large amount of water gushing in the yard. Gail had it turned off within minutes, and coordinated with our gardener who was kind enough to come up and repair the broken spigot. That was not the only emergency during our trip, our precocious GSDs opened their gate latch and got out of the yard a few days later. Gail came right away and worked with our next door neighbor to get the dogs back in the yard, and secure the latch with a bungee cord. And of course she made sure they were fed, petted and got play time every day we were gone. She also sent us text messages with photos and funny videos of our girls, the whole family was on the floor laughing at one of the videos she made. Totally above and beyond what I would expect from any dog sitter. She also set our alarm every day, got our mail and watered our plants. Both girls got Christmas wrapped nyla bones from Auntie Gail when she left, another unexpected surprise that was super sweet and thoughtful.
