Lord Snaggletooth in the oxygen case

Forever grateful for Pets to Vets. I took my dog to the veterinarian because he was having a hard time breathing. The veterinarian said he needed a higher level of care and needs to be transferred to a hospital in an oxygen cubicle. The veterinarian called Pets to Vets to transfer him and right away Kenny called me. He was extremely thorough about the process, the price, and what to expect from pickup to drop off. He immediately came with an oxygen tank and enclosed oxygen case. He introduced himself and again, let me know the every step of the process. He was very gently and kept me informed every step of the way. Unfortunately my dog passed away the next day and Kenny was extremely sympathetic and gave me his condolences. I had no idea such a service existed and am grateful they do exist. Would definitely recommend them !

I'd like to start by saying that I never take the time to leave reviews, I just like to read them when I'm trying to find a good food place. I also only created a Yelp account so I could leave this review lol Our dog's flight got canceled 15 hours before we all were supposed to fly out and it was an absolute nightmare. We didn't know what flight he'd be able to get on with the heat embargo's, staffing issues with airlines, airlines not flying pets "until further notice"and not being able to leave after him to ensure he actually got on a flight, yet arrive before him to also pick him up! We were finally able to get him on a flight, but the issue was not being able to arrive before him. After hours of scrambling and calling companies to see if they'll be able to pick up our baby from the airport (because apparently no one does ), we were recommended Pets to Vets from one of the hundreds of companies that only boards, but doesn't provide transportation. Long story short, Pets to Vets luckily confirmed pick up from the airport and kenneling last minute with us being ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVERS! We worked with Donald, and he's such a cool guy! We had the best stress free experience after finding this company! We got many updates on pick up, lots of pictures of our boy to ensure he was actually picked up and safe! He even got to meet farm animals so fracking cute! I don't know why the heck they make traveling with animals so difficult, but if you can get your pet on a flight and need a transportation/kenneling service until you arrive at your destination, or it needs to be kenneled overnight for a connecting flight, We recommend Pets to Vets hands down!!

In a time that we were very uncertain, these guys came and assisted us with taking our 180lb brazillian mastiff to the emergency vet hospital. He is 10 years old and seemed to have signs of a stroke so their assistance was crucial with lifting. We appreciate it greatly and are thankful for their response.

Donny (Pets to Vets, Glendale) is a true Godsend the expertise he has in handling debilitated senior pets is incredible! My 93 lb. lab lost the ability to use his hindquarters from severe arthritis which got aggravated from a fall. Donny manipulated him like he was 40 lbs. and he sold me a very reasonably-priced sling to help support pet as he walks! I love this guy and would definitely call him again if the need arose!

Our dog Rupert was critically ill and the hospital where he had been would not care for him anymore, but said that if he were transported without oxygen, he would die. I called Donny at 10:45am, he was so kind, so compassionate, and by noon he had Rupert in his van in an oxygen tent driving across town. He even sent a photo so i could see how Rupert was traveling. Once we got to the new hospital, he was so gentle helping to unload our sick boy, and moved all of his equipment along with Rupert so that he would not be out of oxygen any longer than necessary. It was a very difficult experience, but Donny made it so much less stressful. I would recommend him without hesitation. He's just a good, good soul who truly cares and that's reflected in the care he showed our boy.

    Dottie home safe!

When Jeff heard our story, he made it his mission to get our dogs to us. We had to leave our dogs at a kennel, and furry freight made sure everything else was done. From coordinating with the vet, setting up flights, getting correct crates, and ensuring they made it to with airport with Fido Fitness and Play Washington, Furry freight did it all. When their flight was cancelled due to heat, Furry freight ensured they made it to a kennel and ready to fly again. We finally got our dogs with us and they were in great shape and excited to be with us again. Our three dogs were an old great dane, and two pound dogs, aged 6 and 3. They all were well taken care and in healthy and high spirits when we got them. I cannot recommend furry freight enough, and they made an impossible situation possible.

We…read moredidn't want them to suffer, and this place was recommended by a friend who had euthanized her pet here. We got an appointment immediately. When we arrived we were almost immediately brought to a room (where they wrote his name on the door window) and were told that were could take as long as we liked - even before they had me fill out our paperwork. The explained the procedure, took him to install a catheter and brought him back. Again we were told to take as long as we needed. The procedure took less than a minute and I held him the entire time. It was quiet and painless (for him). After they gave me a paw print imprint and hair clippings (which my friend is going to make jewelry out of) I left without paying! I didn't even realize it until a few hours later and when I called to apologize (and pay) they were so understanding and friendly. The only negative thing I can say is that the parking lot is kind of small and this vet seems to be very popular. It's not a vet visit I hope you never need to go through, but if you are in a situation in which you need to, this is the gentlest space with sweetest, kindest staff.

FOREVER TRAUMATIZED BY DR. OHASHI & TEAM…read more I'm here to echo the MANY traumatic experiences from people who were seen by Dr. Ohashi - the primary oncologist at VCA and truly an evil human being. A negative experience that not only negligently left our dog PARALYZED in his final days but also spending unnecessary money on a treatment that would not benefit him. It's truly unbelievable that this horrid woman still maintains a job let alone a client facing role in this hospital. I brought my sweet boy Obi in urgently after an unexpected and gruesome cancer diagnosis that we received only 72 hours prior to our appointment with Ohashi. Naturally we were blindsided, devastated, and confused with a million questions about how this could have happened. I spent 20 solid minutes talking to her assistant Dr. Josie trying to thoroughly explain Obi's medical history over the last 2 years as well as what we had been told by our primary vet (which was that he was perfectly healthy as far as they could tell), and that we were given no signs or indications that he had been sick or in any kind of pain. Dr. Josie appeared understanding and empathetic until she left and return with Ohashi and then she never spoke or looked at us directly in the eye again. It was cruel and unusual. I then tried to reexplain everything to Ohashi but her English was so terrible it was like talking to an AI Chatbot and she never fully acknowledged or responded to a single thing I said to her in the 2 days we spent with her. Instead she spoke to us as if we had left our dog to suffer in pain for years on end and repeated statements such as "how long are you going to continue to make him suffer like this" as my husband and I sobbed begging her to listen to us and understand. In addition to this, we clearly stated to Ohashi that Obi was having trouble walking on his hind legs. He had been taken for X-rays and when Ohashi came to speak with us she told us he was having trouble walking on his front legs. Again, we tried to explain that this was incorrect and we had not experienced this with him and she flat out told us we were wrong. AGAIN she was incapable of listening and understanding. Shortly after, they brought Obi back to us and he could barely walk on his front legs. We had never seen this before and it was clear he had been severely injured during the X-rays. This was the last day Obi ever walked again. That night he became paralyzed. We 100% attribute this to how he was handled during the x-rays. After he became paralyzed, Ohashi told us to come back and give him an infusion of medication that would help him walk again. This treatment cost $1200 and it wasn't until after he was given the treatment that we were told by Ohashi that it wouldn't work on him if the issue was neurological (versus due to his cancer). The second she told us this we (even as non-veterinarians) could immediately see that he was knuckling over his paws when he tried to walk meaning that issue was always neurological and zero assessments or acknowledgements were done to help determine this before gouging us for unnecessary treatments. Ohashi was unfeeling, uncaring, and negligent. She was did not listen or understand anything we tried to explain to her nor did she offer us any kind of support or resources. Without support from better doctors we would have rushed our goodbye with our sweet boy sooner than we needed too. Ohashi is incapable of kindness and understanding and should not be allowed to practice medicine. In Obi's final days, he suffered unnecessarily. We all did.

When we knew it was time, my wife started to call vets while I tried to sneak in as much extra time with my boy as I could. I can't say Hearts and Halos was the first place that we called, but I can say that I'm so happy that we ended up using their services. Mari was at our house a little over 2 hours after we called. She had a kind and soft presence and was extremely empathetic. She made what is an unavoidably brutal experience just a little bit more manageable. I'm incredibly grateful that this type of service exists. Being able to spend his last moments with him in the place that we were certain he was comfortable and at ease was invaluable.

I don't think you'll regret it. Having to say goodbye to Bear, my best friend in the world and and still the purest love I've ever received, was the saddest day of my life. And figuring out the "right time" was agonizing and I remember feeling so alone. I called Hearts and Halos, and the lady I spoke to was so kind and gave me excellent advice I think all pet parents need to hear when the time comes: only you know what your animal needs and value quality of life over everything else. When that time came, Hearts and Halos scheduled me for the next day and provided their services with great patience, compassion and respect, making an already terrible day a little less terrible. That was 5 years ago. I called them yesterday for a cremation certificate and information on traveling through airports because I've decided it's now time to spread Bear's ashes. The same lady who helped me 5 years ago called me back at 9am this morning. She didn't have all the answers I needed, but that's not the point. The point is she went out of her way to bring us to this full circle moment by again helping me say a different goodbye this time, and providing guidance through another painful phase of letting go. I never got her name, but I always remembered her, that phone call about the right time, and her returning my call today 5 years later. She's exactly the person I needed in those moments. A true blessing from above. Thanks again. - Bear's human
