My husband brought home a plate of their garlic chicken and garlics shrimp. I admit, I judge the looks a little bit. But as soon as I took a bite of the chicken, I was HOOKED!!! It's now my favorite place to eat. Way better than Mo-bettahs. Sorry mobettahs. lol! We went to visit the location in Herriman a few days ago and I got the same garlic chicken plate. Never disappointed. The food and meat is packed on. Plates have a hefty portion and great for the big eaters. The staff was welcoming, smiled, and interacted with customers. It was just a nice environment and first time experience for me. Very relaxing with or without the rush hour crowds. I highly recommend going here if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed. I had the loco moco and garlic chicken. When I think of loco moco, I think of a rich savory dish like a Salisbury steak. Somehow they made it very sweet (sugar in the meat?). The garlic chicken had been cooked hours before, was barely warm, dry, and crunchy not in a good way. It too was sweet. As always, I am excited to welcome a locally owned and operated restaurant to our side of the valley-where there is a plethora of chains to choose from. Because of this, I go out of my way to pick something local over others. My wife and I visited for dinner and were excited to have an authentic Hawaiian meal. I had the kulua pig and she had the garlic chicken. I really enjoyed my meal, although she didn't care for hers much. We'd definitely return, she just might order something different. One bit of feedback-the young lady that took our order was really unfriendly. It may be that she was having a bad day, but it felt very out of character from the Aloha vibe that we expected. We decided to check out this new place so close to our house and some of my husband's favorite food. Added bonus, we're headed to Hawaii in a few days. It's super good!! And huge portions, I'll be eating this for days! The pulled pork and teriyaki chicken is cooked perfectly. We opted for no macaroni salad. We compared this to other places in the vicinity and Aunty's makes the best garlic chicken, in my humble opinion. It is potent so if you love garlic, this truly makes the mark. Anytime we hear of a new Hawaiian restaurant in the area we are all in to try it out. It was nice inside, your topical Hawaiian decor. We walked right up and ordered. The staff was friendly, and the prices were about the same as other like places in the area. Our food came to the table within 10 minutes. The food was good, but not quite as good as what we get at our favorite place. We ordered basically the same dishes we always get, but somehow it just wasn't hitting the hunger spot the same way. I did like that they have the sauces out so you can try them all and get as much as you need. Some other places charge you for extra sauce.
