If you're not a raw fish (poke) person, don't be deterred! Bigeye offers cooked options too-and not just fish. Phew, now that I got that out of the way and hopefully caught the attention of the non-seafood eaters, I'll proceed. This is a fast casual joint where you order at the counter, fill your own drink and food is brought to your table (if you had something cooked, otherwise they assemble it in front of you.) This concept isn't unique, but the food itself is. And the service is ridiculously good. Everyone was so nice! If you're all about sweet drinks, try one of the tropical Hawaiian juices. Be warned, they are very sweet and will probably trigger a diabetic reaction for some folks. But seeing how immune Utahns are to a sugary drink, most people are probably fine. I opted for the Tilapia, white rice, edamame and macaroni salad. It was all phenomenal, although next time I'll swap out the edamame for the crab salad-that looked good, but I didn't notice it until after I'd made my selection. My friend had a poke bowl and loved it as well. We were both pleasantly surprised by the menu and how much we enjoyed our meal. read more

This is such a hidden gem for us that live in SLC, and this was worth the drive down South. I think this was honestly one of the best Poke places ever. The meats/seafood they had were delicious, I had the grilled salmon which was delicious and fresh. Though, I wish they had a bigger selection for veggies, the food was still delicious. The employees are kind and make good recommendations. The inside is nice and clean (including bathrooms). Would definitely come back! read more

I often stop in while I'm out and about to order their fresh poke tuna but today being a cold day I decided on cooked salmon with a side of seaweed, coleslaw and seaweed salad instead of rice, but they have a choice of brown or white rice. If you want rice, they give very generous portions.! I highly recommend if you like, seafood to eat here , it's fresh it's healthy it's delicious! read more

Really tasty options. I really liked the volcano salmon. And teriyaki salmon. Talking with others, they seem to like all the options including the squid. The place is nice and clean, and the service was great! They offer samples to help you make sure you like what you get. They even have grilled options for those not feeling like eating poke the traditional way. They have grilled Mahi Mahi and salmon and I think some other options. Worth a try, especially if you're trying to eat healthier. They have white rice, brown rice and mixed greens as options for your base and lots of flavorful veggie options for the sides. For those who aren't too keen on the greens, they've got a Mac salad option that people like. The portions I'd love to be a little bigger or the price a little lower, but all in all pretty good. Holy yum as always! I've been coming here for a year and the quality, even through Covid has been phenomenal! I definitely think my favorite is the limu tuna- I'm not a fan of salmon and I'm allergic to shrimp so their other options arent for me. I love that you can choose exactly what you'd like instead of other poke places in SLC CO. that don't let you and just have their bowls already curated. One thing that I've noticed has changed is the size of the fish, it's much larger than before and I personally prefer smaller pieces or I get a little gaggy- not sure why but smaller cubes is definitely more preferred for me! Customer service: there is a lady who works here and has for more than a year (as far as I know) and she is phenomenal! She always remembers my order, asks me how I've been, and I recently had a baby and she remembered and was so glad to see me back after 9 months hiatus due to pregnancy. I really appreciate service like this and makes it feel like more of a family-feel establishment. She definitely deserves 5 stars! I will travel the distance from Saratoga Springs to Draper for it anyday! Would love more Utah County locations!! read more

This is my favorite poke place in Salt Lake hands down. I've been here 20+ times since I moved here 3 years ago. The staff is friendly, service is quick, and the food is incredibly tasty. I always get a poke bowl with spicy tuna, honey crab, super Mac, unagi and all the spices. It's an amazing combo. I'll continue to be a loyal customer! My only complaint is the state street location seems to be closed every time I'm in that area, they don't always follow what their posted hours are! But either way this place is great. read more

Amazing poke place that's going to be our go-to for any poke fixes. The flavor was great, the portion was just right and the service is fast and friendly. Spam musubi could use a bit less rice but the poke bowls are so delicious already. If I can change one thing, it'd be to lower the sugar content in their homemade juices. It's too sweet for my taste and I could t take more than 2 sips of it. read more

This was our first time visiting Bigeye Poke & Grill, but it won't be our last. The gentleman who helped us was really great about helping us decide what we should get. Not to mention being very patient with us as we picked out our perfect bowl! I absolutely loved what I ordered. I got a poke bowl with brown rice, volcano salmon, limu tuna, seaweed salad, and honey crab as a side. Annnnnndd, it was the tits. For the price, it was a very good amount of food. Everything tasted fr3sh and the restaurant was very clean and cared for. They have a lot of different options if cold fish isn't your thing. They also have a lot of little extras in addition to your main meal. Including onions, cabbage, sauces, ect. It is nice because you can really personalize your meal exactly to your liking. I really like that as a customer - being able to create something unique to my taste. read more

I want to eat here everyday. I love good poke and I was thrilled to find another poke restaurant near me. I went during lunch time and got the Jr. Poke Bowl which comes with a base item (rice, salad or a mix), 1 poke protein and 1 side. I got the white rice, Limu Tuna, ginger, Kona Kimchee and chili-kake sprinkled on top, which adds some crispy texture. I sat in my car and went to poke heaven. It was so good and very fresh! I was very happy with my meal. Ordering is much like most quick take-out restaurants these days. Pick a few items from a category list of items. Feeling very new to the process here, I did feel a bit of pressure to just blurt out whatever to create my entree, but I also tried to take my time. That said, I wish that more restaurants would help customers place an informed order instead of treating all customers like seasoned pros. At a lot of restaurants these days I'm just hounded with curt questions: "What side?" then "What protein?" etc. when I would hope that they would take the time to ask me if it was my first time and if I needed some help with the menu. I can't take the pressure when I'm feeling rushed! And I just say that because that is very often the case in restaurants like this where you create your own meal from several options. But overall, the food was excellent. Reasonably priced, especially during the day with the lunch discount. I will be back! read more

Decent selection of Poke, they let you sample anything you want. Not as many items as other Poke locations in the valley but it was nice. They said they cook the meats to order so I wasn't able to take a picture of that section. My only gripe was that the Hawaiian drink they had were very sweet. For sure will come back and test out some more interesting items. read more

Sooo amazing! Service is fantastic, as is the food!! My favorite is the beef plate, but J also love the poke bowl, with volcano salmon and Tuna!! The slaw is ridiculously delicious, and top anything you get with the Volcano sauce!! They are taking Covid seriously, and main thing social distancing as well. Not a typical poke experience. The side options didn't really compliment the poke bowl and the side options were all very carb heavy, the scoops of protein were pretty small. The fish tasted pretty fresh. Strange drink options on the fountain, not sure why they are all diet? I wouldn't be back. read more

Everything here seems to be a strip mall, so... this place is in a strip mall. I really don't need to be a jerk about it. This place is in business to make money, and what I think is going on is they are preparing food for the folks that live around here. If they made Thai food like I'm used to in New York City, people here might hate it. I don't know. Not everyone likes fish sauce I guess. Anyhow, I can tell by the other reviews that people here love this place, and I think that's fantastic. They shouldn't change a thing just because some NYC asshole randomly showed up.

And for a restaurant with rolls this photogenic, a printed menu with photos would go a long way.

While we waited, we were made to feel like a bother as many employees stood around the back, looking at us, rolling their eyes and sighing as if we walked in right before close. I politely apologized to the girl who seated us about how large our party was, and mentioned how upset all the employees seemed by our large party. She didn't know what to say other than, "We had a water spill on the other side." Anyway, she walked to the back, told her co-workers, and I could see them looking at our table once again with irritation. Caleb, our waiter, was very nice, but it wasn't enough to offset the rudeness of the other employees. We all ordered an ice cream and 3 baskets of fries. By the time I got home, I was extremely sick. I was the only one who got sick, and I was the only one who addressed the rude behavior. Coincidence? Maybe. Next time, we will take our business where it's wanted.

I would get it again in a heartbeat, even though I would love to try their freshie poke, steak poke, pork poke, or musubi...oh and their crack mac. Basically their whole menu, haha! Our server did mention these are meant to share, so very possible to try it all if you bring a willing group!
