It's been awhile since I've been to aura and for good reason, the last time I got a pedicure here - they were not even busy but were rushing. The polish on my toes was not even and a lot of missed areas. Polish did not last long. It was over $100 with tax and tip but only lasted a week. Horrible experience. read more

Haven't been in awhile to Aura and I remember why. Got a pedi, she barely did trimming, ask for shorter, didn't happen. Proceeded to clean my toe nails then used the same tool to clean out her ear ! I was mortified, then used it in my other foot. Scrub the bottom of my feet without the gel they put on it just water. She got the bottom coat all over my toes wasn't even paying attention and the paint job was poor. It's clumpy and unprofessional. Not much of a massage she scratched my legs instead. Do not recommend. My first time in this salon and I asked for a gel pedicure. The tech said, "I did my best" on your left foot. Also said, "this looks good from far away". Not sure what is so different about my left foot from the right? The gel is so sloppy and uneven. I am disappointed in this service and lack of skill. I have given myself better pedicures. I am so irritated that I actually paid for this and didn't make a bid deal about it at the salon as I didn't get a better look until I got to the car. This place is convenient but I had my last terrible manicure here. Bloody cuticles. The polish is all so old and thick and goopy and never dries. Last night they rushed me out the door without letting me sit on the door by spraying quick dry which has left my nails bubbly and rough feeling. My toe has already chipped less than 12 hours later. I heard they weee under new owners which is why I gave them a chance but all I see are higher prices, sub par product and techs pushing me out the door without letting my polish to set under the dryer. read more

I paid $120.00 for a gel pedicure and SNS manicure. The tech did not speak to me the whole TWO HOURS I was there. It's been less than 1 week since my appointment and the SNS is cracking under the clear coat and my nail beds look like they have been butchered. I was told the pedicure was $37 dollars, but they charged me an additional $20 for the gel polish on my toes. I walked out of the establishment picking color off the sides and bottoms of my nail beds. If I am paying $120.00 for service I would hope that I wouldn't have to fix my own nails, let alone have the SNS crack under the clear coat. read more

Quality of your nail service you pay for is terrible. Like a few other ladies before mentioned paying over a hundred dollars for services that don't even last or don't look professionally done. I've been in this area for about 6 years and been around to a Few nail techs in the area and came across this place, been going for about 5 years. Techs have come and gone, I guess the better ones, recently visited, acrylic nails lifted ins about a week! Terrible, before returning I visited a place I used to frequent visit in Kenwood area and regret going back to Aura. Then they spoke in there Korean? Language and made little remarks about my nails to each other made be very uncomfortable and made me not even want to return. Will not be giving them my service again. read more

Walk in appointment since the guy i regularly go to was not available. They sat me down 15 mins after I walked in and I put my hands in the acetone to soak my nails off and about a minute later I lift them out since they were burning. The water was boiling, no exaggeration boiling bubbles. The tech next to me continued to say it was fine and to put my nails in since that's what it's supposed to do to get the polish off. Aura nails is a cute and stylish spa with a clean feel and great vibe. Their technicians are friendly and all seem to take pride in their work. Kate was there to do my SNS nails, and once I told her I was having my nails done for engagement photos the next day, I could tell she took extra special care of my soon to be photographed hands! Kate was diligent and helpful. She made sure I liked the shape and color and made sure I didn't mess my nails up before they were all done by having me pay before the top coat and then helping me gather my things. I'm a reasonable person - so I'm giving a little fault for myself for being an end of the evening walk-in. But, if the services could not be done well, they should have asked me to return the next day. My polish is inconsistent/bad edges and my cuticles were over-trimmed leaving me with rough edges and cuts. Thankfully I received a 25% off promotion due to their new opening (20%) and my paying cash (5%). But it is not my intent to return to or recommend my technician. Myself and a group of friends came here on the16th of April. The woman who did my pedicure was very kind, but extremely rough. I suspect the tools being used were not sanitary because within 2 days my toenail became infected. I am now on a round of antibiotics and I DO NOT recommend going to this salon. Super relaxing! Plenty of pedicure options! I opted to have wine with my pedi! The nail tech took his time, was thoughtful, gentle and asked me how I was doing on pressure, water temperature, towel temperature throughout. I was definitely at ease. They do a great job here. My polish ended up beautiful and smooth. so sad I cannot come back as a regular since I am from the Chi... I'm so disappointed with this place. Called ahead for prices/services and they give me a total different price. Then they star to talk in Chinese and asked my girls the ages, doubting about if they were 10 or younger. Then, the manager came and confronted me in from of my kids about the list prices. I felt so attacked and judge that I stand up, paid whatever they want me to charged and walked away with out finishing my service. I can't express how offended I'm. Luxurious and relaxing! Friendly staff along with a variety of services for a decent price. This location is easy to find off 129 and I75 near Liberty Center. Bountiful parking out front. I booked my services through their website. I was able to get a description of the services and was able to book quickly. I received a text message confirmation prior as well. I received the Ultimate spa pedicure. I felt super pampered. The tech that performed my service was very personable and attentive. I was able to get a quick manicure in my chair too. I didn't originally have an appointment but they had someone available and I didn't have to move. Mani and pedi in my massage chair. Boom. I just wished I was hand fed grapes. Ha, just kidding. I paid an extra $3 for OPI polish, which I thought was interesting. They said it would last longer then the other "regular" polishes. The salon was very clean and modern. The bathroom had handtowls instead of paper towls. Very spa like. If and when in the area, I will be back. Highly recommended!!! read more

I went to this spa for first time. Because other spa I used to go to is under renovation. Front desk made me uncomfortable because after I said my child doesn't want pedicure. He asked my child again and made fun of choices staying at spa. Lady who did my pedicure is so lazy that she didn't even scrub my feet properly on back side. When I asked she looked at supervisor and that supervisor came and giving me Lectures without seeing how much she has done so far. And foot cream massage is done with 2 different creams she combined both and painted my leg without massage. And didnt even wash it properly before hand towel. Whole service didn't last more than 15 mins. How come pedicure is done that short time ? And when I asked to do something she is distracting with current China corona virus and how all Chinese is destroying christians and their properties. And really wanted to leave by the way she did service. I didn't give a tip and same supervisor got upset and came to me and said we know you didn't like our service. Use Vaseline for your foot. We don't do anything for calluses and tell your friends to come here. And gave coupons and said this is enough. This treatment is very disrespectful and i DONT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS PLACE with these two people around. Very toxic and unsecure. read more

I wanted to write this review because I was so impressed with how much this place is holding to the reopening guidelines. I went last night and there was not one more additional precaution this place could have taken to make me feel safe. From temp taking to gloves to plexi-glass and masks. It was incredible. I hope it doesn't have to be like this forever, but I still felt relaxed and safe at the same time.
