What would you expect out of your city when times are hard? Well let me tell you what you get with Aurora, CO. You get wanna be cops going around giving citizens violation notices for things like having propane tanks on your camper (lawfully stored on the side on the house in a designated parking spot) or on your propane firepit, bare spots in your lawn after having a main line replaced and the grass hasn't grown back yet despite two rounds of seeding, fertilizing and watering (with water restrictions in place from the city). Then at the city parks you have overflowing trash cans, you have homeless camps with trash and drug use, you have a homeless camp just about every block. You have gun shots every night, you have burglaries, unresponsive cops (72 hour response times), you have a joke of a justice system, these criminals are back out on the streets the same day (if they even bother to apprehend someone). Don't even get me started on their public school system. Just look up the ratings, it's an embarrassment. This city has got to be one of the worst rated cities in the country at this point. If you are looking to move here, don't. Live in any city in the state except this god forsaken place. You will thank me later.

I researched and researched and called and called. Always the same answer. My income was to much. I filed a appeal and a grievance. Talked to a lawyer just a consult. The Monday after I filed I got a call from I guess my casemanager. He said he dint know why it all was done and very sorry. But my medicaid was reinstated. But what a horrible month long ordeal. I had just been to er 2 times in the amount of about $15000. I was scared to death. I wish I remembered his name. He was very kind and sincere. But I called them atleast a dozen times. And they didn't know the rules and regulations well enough and so just told me no. Thank God I fought it.

Not an extremely long time, but they speed up dramatically when it's closing time. The Employees- Yes, it's obvious some hate their jobs. Most are friendly and courteous, a few were curt and in my opinion, need a hug, a role model, or someone to tell them things are going to be ok. The Customers- Wow. This place has a rough crowd. There is a sign to let you know you will be removed for being loud or violent. This is a bring a book, dont make too much eye contact kind of place. For those in the know, it's prison rules in here.
